Notre nuitée a été exceptionnelle. L’accueil a été très appréciée: citronnade , fruit frais. Piscine et parking facilitant.

We stayed in chambre Tec-Tec, which was a ground-level room right off the pool and main villa. It was well appointed, quiet and had a very comfortable bed, large ensuite bathroom, and excellent privacy with a large curtain. We found parking immediately out front on the road where our car was safe. We could have parked in the secure onsite area but it wasn't necessary. If you're looking at other properties in St Denis and you have a car, then absolutely consider this hotel so you don't have trouble parking. Our breakfast was brilliant and the host very helpfully allowed us to do a load of laundry on site. It was so helpful for us and made our trip so much more comfortable. Walking into town was very quick. Within 15 minutes of walking we made it across town for dinner at a wonderful restaurant. The Botanical Gardens are about 5 minutes away. Buses are equally close if this is how you plan to get around. The area is well lit and instructions for check in were clear as we arrived after the check in staff had left for the day.

This isn't the hotels fault, but Saint-Denis is over run with cockroaches. Little critters were everywhere! We spotted a few around the auberge grounds, but as I say, this is not their fault as we found them all over the city as we walked around at night. I'm mentioning this more so that others don't assume its due to the hotels lack of hygiene - that certainly is NOT the case.

Check-in was easy, with good instructions by mail/booking. Location is good, easy parking in the street. Welcome drinks/appetizer in the fridge.

The lights in the room were difficult to control. We couldn't dim the light from the toilet, but could close the door so we weren't disturbed by the light. Shower in bath.
