Was a wonderful week. We were able to get most of our family together. A couple of our families were at a home 3 doors away and there were 3 families at Almost Beach. Was close enough to the beach (one house) to be right where we wanted to be. Love the homeness of the community. This beach house checked all our boxes.

This was our second year to stay at this home. It is the second home from the beach. Easy access to the beach. We plan to reserve it for next summer as well. It’s spacious and comfortable.

We had a great time here at the beach house! The house was in a PERFECT location to walk right to the beach. It was one house back from being front row. The house was probably one of the most stocked short term rentals we have ever stayed at to be honest. That was a nice touch. It was perfect for our multi family trip. The beds were cozy, it was clean and Jennifer was so nice and easy to work with. We would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a great stay near the beach.

A really great stay
A nice home, clean and pretty. Located two houses from the beach. A nice view of the beach/water from the balcony. We will stay in this house again. Easy check-in/ check-out. The house had everything we needed plus.

Perfect for our group!
I rented this house for my Girl Scout troop annual trip. We had 15 people in our group ranging from 5-35. Spacious, clean, and proximity to the beach- you can’t do better! Definitely renting again

Great property
This is a very nice well-kept property. We Loved the location of this beach house. Very easy access to the beach. We loved all the outdoor patios. We plan to rent the same property next summer.

Great house, perfect location
This house was perfect for our group. The number of beds/bedrooms and bathrooms made accommodating couples and kids easy. The kitchen is good sized and super-well-stocked. The variety of decks and seating areas allowed for everyone to get together and for me to find some quiet space. Outdoor shower is great. The beach is maybe 50 feet away. It's clean and not crowded at all. Highly, highly recommended! We will be back.

Amazing Cabin and Location
Wow! We had an absolute blast during our stay! The cabin was perfect! And the owner was the best! Very accommodating to my wishes and made the whole weekend one to remember! Would definitely stay here again!

Beach house review
The property is nice; however, it appears to have some maintenance work that needs to be completed. Some of the siding is falling off, the lower level lights outside were not working, and some of the siding on the 3rd floor appears to have fallen off as well. With a little TLC, I'm sure it can compete and even surpass the other beach houses that I've stayed at over the last ten years.

Great Near Beach House
Clean property, nice neighborhood, 30 meters to sand and beach. Outdoor shower was great for rinsing sand off before going into house. Small store, pizza very close. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms. Would want to rent again!

Family fun at a great location to the water
House was a great fit for our family of 6 adults and 4 kids. Location was perfect. Right next to the beach. Made it easy to setup, hangout for the day and clean up! Thanks Jennifer.

4th of July
We had a wonderful time in Galveston over the 4th of July. The property was large enough for everyone to have their own space and yet enjoy each other's company. The mornings having coffee on the porch and listening to the ocean was wonderful.

Taking the team to the beach
Me and a couple other parents took our high school cross country team here for the weekend. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend. But they had a great time anyway. The location is perfect and the house was great. There was plenty of room for everyone. We had 11 teens and two adults. The game room in the garage was nice to have but the kids didn’t use much at all because it was just too hot in there and house rules were you can’t open the big garage doors. So maybe bring a fan or something you can use to try to cool it down. We were here in the spring. I can’t imagine how hot it would get in the summer. Maybe we missed somethjng that could cool it down I’m not sure. The owner was great. Always answered any questions right away and was very nice and easy to deal with. It was very clean inside. I would definitely recommend the house.

Wonderful retreat for three generation family!
We had a wonderful time. This home is so close to the beach and the grandkids loved the game room which is a rare find. The owners we gracious and easily available. We have stayed at many homes in Pirates Beach and this is our favorite!

Best Location in Galveston!!!
The house isn’t technically on the beach, but it might as well be since it’s a few feet to walk. Jennifer was very easy to work with. Everyone had a blast and the kids loved the upstairs and the games in the garage. The house is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, pretty much everything. The beach is private so it was very easy to socially distance from others. We would love to return.

Perfect location
We had 4 couples and 6 kids stay for the weekend and we all had an amazing time. The best part of the house is location. Its like 100ft to the beach and that section of the beach (Pirates beach) does not have vehicles so its good for kids/pets. It wasn't very busy either.
Jennifer was quick to respond and helpful and gracious in allowing flexible checkin/checkout times.
We will definitely consider her place again in the future.

our family loves to get together on the 4th. once again we had a great time. kids and grandkids had fun and it certainly is “almost beachfront”.

Beautiful and Great Locations!
We loved the house - 3 bedrooms downstairs...great...lots of sleeping space upstairs...updated bathrooms and kitchen...lots of deck area...and the owners were the best! Fabulous response and great communication!

Nice beach house for large group
This house looked better on the website than in person, but was very much as expected. The house has plenty of space and is very near the beach.
There are 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor and 2 bathrooms. 2nd floor has 4 bunk beds and a bathroom. The house has signs of wear but never seen a beach house that doesn’t. Homeowners were easy to work with and contact.

Had a few issues with the house (AC and washing machine) but the owners were very responsive and helpful. House is a little dated but location is fantastic.

Prom weekend
House was perfect all the kids enjoyed their stay. Location was great they didn’t have to drive far for prom night and restaurant.. steps to the beach was a plus!! Balcony at sunset 🌅 was amazing!! Thanks for everything!!

This home is so lovely
We had a great Thanksgiving Holiday with our family and close friends. We would highly recommend this lovely home only steps from the beach and the family was so kind to communicate with. We hope to make this a tradition or at least go back once a year!

Great location, well equipped, beautiful, and so clean!
We have rented many beach houses over many years, and Almost Beachfront is our favorite! Our family of 15 plus a last minute pet, enjoyed every minute, even the rainy ones, because of the game room in the garage! We are looking forward to another visit.

The beach house was absolutely beautiful.
Our group really enjoyed our time at this lovely piece of paradise. It is literally steps to the beach. The owners were very accommodating and responded quickly. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this beach house.

Beautiful, comfortable, right on the beach
We had a wonderful stay with our kids, a few of their friends, and our pets. I couldn't have asked for a better place to accommodate us. Its a roomy home with plenty of deck areas, plenty of kitchen supplies, comfortable beds, and right on the beach! I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!
We loved our experience. The house was comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen in terms of supplies. Clearly a place cared for with love and thought. We thoroughly enjoyed the roof deck, and the garage with the ping pong table and air hockey table. The owner Jennifer was lovely - she was responsive, provided clear, timely instructions and help on the one question we had during the stay. We hope to return annually :)

Great for women's getaway or families!
9 moms/friends just had a great weekend at Almost Beachfront. The house was clean, fully furnished with everything we needed, and beautiful. Steps to the beach, and gorgeous views from the multiple decks. We all agreed that it would be perfect for multiple families with kids as well. Can't recommend it highly enough!
