We loved the gorgeous, peaceful, pastoral location that was close to Capitol Reef. Playing pickleball with the sounds of cows lowing in the background was unique and special. If we're ever in the area again, we will return.

This property, which is located down a dirt road on a ranch, was really amazing. The house is well-cared for and the yard and surrounding areas were impressive. The property was very quiet and had a lot of wildlife roaming around. Would definitely recommend.

We (four adults and a 1 and 1/2 year old grandson) spent three lovely, peaceful nights here. We spent one full and two half days in the NP and a half day driving scenic route 12 to small, but very interesting Anasazi State Park in Boulder. Each night we returned to Elk Valley Ranch to cook dinner in the well appointed kitchen, relax on the comfortable couches, clean up in the sparkling bathrooms, and sleep in the comfortable beds. Following the directions sent by the owner, we had no difficulty finding the place and loved the deep quiet and beautiful views. Our grandson loved the birds and the bunnies in the yard and on the dirt road. I would return to Elk Valley Ranch and highly recommend it.

Tim was very helpful the house is gorgeous on the inside and the setting is better. A little difficult to find but worth it.

Loved the Ranch, 2nd year we’ve stayed here. Secluded, and private. It fit the four of us great!

What a gem. This listing particularly the barn was a step back into a movie set for Bonanza or perhaps more currently, Yellowstone. Beautiful antiques, well appointed and supplied, this was a restful surprise from National Park trecking.

Beautiful house and location.

This was a fantastic rental house. It’s in a secluded valley with rock cliffs, green pastures, and friendly horses. The master bedroom was easily large enough to fit a king inflatable mattress for our girls. The house itself was well appointed and attractive. The big kitchen was great for meal prep. The gazebo was lovely for grilling and using the fire pit. Tim, the property manager/owner, was responsive and very helpful. The only trouble we had was originally finding the property. Fabulous beautiful place.

This well maintained and secluded property provides all the comforts of home with beautiful views and easy access to Utah 12. Located a short drive from the main road the home is a cozy 2 bedroom with a well equipped Kitchen. Our family of three had ample room and the home could accommodate twice as many comfortably. Hosts were attentive and responsive to communication - this is a highly recommended location if you plan on touring Capitol Reef for a couple of days. We plan on returning for another Llama hike (google it) and we will certainly be staying at this property again.

We had a great two nights at this off the beaten path ranch. The property description and amenities were as advertised, and the home was very clean. Watching the deer jumping over the neighbors fence, grazing in their yard, along with the cows in the pasture, made for a unique, pleasant experience. Would definitely stat here again

Size, presentation of interior, amenities all great. We prepared meals, enjoyed the gas fire pit, and saw millions of stars.

Stayed for 2 nights, enjoyed both the house and the Capitol Reef NP as well as the surrounding area. House, or ranch, is spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped. After a day's hike and scenic driving, we returned to the house and it was so relaxing and enjoyable. Property manager is prompt and responsive to any inquiries, gave perfect directions as to how to get there, highly recommended.

This was one of our favorite stops on our Utah travels. This location was close to Capitol Reef and was also an incredible destination on its own.

The two bedroom, two bath home worked well for our two couples of almost retirees. The view was serene and lovely. We enjoyed watching the horses, cattle and deer out the large windows. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the home was beautifully decorated. Everything functioned well. A favorite stat for us.

This property is tucked approximately 2 miles off the stunning rt 12. The road in is a bit rough. We were trailering motorcycles to ride the area so Sandy found us a place to park close to rt 12 so that we could ride - since traversing the 2 miles was more than we were comfortable with. The property(s) itself is in a beautiful valley with little to no noise. Their horses and cows are enjoyable to watch. We alaosaw some Elk one evening. The house is comfortable and clean. It does not have air, as another review said, but there are ceiling fans and personal fans that, once the evening cool starts, provide a nice sleep. (We're more window people, so we did not care). There are sharp knives, which seems to be a rarity. I also think that any house that costs more than $200 a night should have a good coffee maker (not the cheapest one you can find at Walmart)...but that's just us. We are outdoor people, and typically don't use too much in a rental home except the beds and showers which were both great. But being outdoor people our review focuses on the outdoor. We like to cook outside and eat outside, so the grill being approx 30 feet away in the gazebo was not handy. There also is not an outdoor table. The attached small porch held 2 chairs that were not made to spend much time in. The gazebo that was in the corner of the yard had comfy chairs, but once 6pm came was in full sun (we usually never made up late enough to enjoy those chairs in the shade...lol). I mention this for the outdoor people, many won't care about an outdoor table or even how far away the grill is, but the outdoor space is probably more important than the indoor space to us. I mention this for those who are like us. Utah is stunning (my favorite state) and the property is beautiful, we just kinda would have liked a little bit more comfortable outdoor space to sit outside and enjoy those beautiful surroundings.

Very clean and well presented given our circumstance. Only disappointment was no ac for the hot period. However, the boys and hubby enjoyed family time at the fire pit and a graceful walk around the ranch. Must be breathtaking in the winter.

Very nice property located in Grover, short drive to Capitol Reef and Boulder, Utah. Loved the location , house was perfect! Very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. My family loved it! We will definitely stay here again!

The location is so peaceful. Woke up to 9 deer in the field next door. Playing pickleball with the family was fun. It was about 25 minutes to the Capital Reef visitor center. We loved the big front room, the back porch, and quiet firepit in the backyard. The property owners were very responsive to all our information requests. Will definitely consider visiting here again.

This house is beautiful, comfortable and well-equipped for a stay in a beautiful area. The furnishings were lovely, the house had everything necessary to prepare meals, including an outdoor barbecue and picnic table, as well as a washer and dryer and a large garden. The house has an open-plan kitchen/dining/living area, a large master bedroom with en-suite bath and a smaller bedroom with a bath across the hall. I would recommend this getaway for any small group.

An oasis to return to from our visit to Capitol Reef park and long hiking days. Very comfortable beds, well outfitted kitchen, beautifully appointed common areas in which to sit and talk

This is a lovely property, and the house is just as pictured online. Being out on the ranch was delightful....SO quiet!! The location was close to Capitol Reef National Park, which made daily trips there easy. Sandy (the owner) was available, responsive, and very pleasant to deal with. We highly recommend this property.

This home was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary supplies, and the property was gorgeous. The pickle ball and basket ball courts were a game changer for our family. The wifi worked well enough for some remote work we had to do. The nights were beautiful and we enjoyed the best star gazing. Capitol Reef National Park is only 15 minutes away. If possible, I would bring your own groceries as the local store didn’t have a lot of options. The only reason I gave the “accuracy of online listing” 4 stars instead of 5 was that the listing said it slept 6. There were only 2 beds (a king and a queen). I think they were counting the couches as beds, which is fine, but I would have liked to know this before hand. Overall, the home was wonderful and the location just perfect. I would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay In Torrey at the cabin. The grounds were beautiful and the house was well equipped. We enjoyed cooking each night. The cabin is close to Capitol Reef and all the hiking trails. We would love to come again!

Loved the greeting from the local horses! Property was clean and we enjoyed our stay. Good base for exploring Capitol Reef and also heading South in HW12.

My husband and I stayed for two nights at the Gatehouse property at Elk Valley Ranch en route from Nevada to Colorado. The house had everything we could possibly need. We have stayed at many rentals and this home was more comfortable than most. We thoroughly enjoyed playing pickle ball on the property with beautiful views of the surrounding land and mountains. The reservation and check in process was seamless. We hope to return again in the future.

Quiet, comfortable, great location. Any problems were taken care of quickly.
