We expected 4 star hotel as it is advertised It is and old hotel, little renovated in the rooms Fantastic park and cared surroundings, excellent location, good breakfast.

Room had no climate control or any simple ventilation

the poor service in the restaurant no English menu and no staff to explain what is on the menu. Also the food was poorly prepared, raw chicken and far too expensive for what was offered.

The staff were very welcoming and nice. The sauna worked. Room was a good size with a rather high ceiling and there was a cozy common seeting area in the lobby.

Cleaning was not up to par, at a 4 star hotel we expect much better. Mirror was not clean, there was a thick layer of dust on various things (for example the lights and shower head) and the curtains were stained. Something the hotel advertised and we were excited for was a foot-soak with herbs, but there was nothing to put the water in to soak your feet and none of the staff knew where it was... The sauna worked, but the set up was a bit strange. It was down in the basement so it was quite a long way to walk from our room. They did not provide robes, so we had to walk down in our clothes but there were no changing rooms down there and no lock on the door. This meant we were changing and showering in a room without a lock where anyone could have walked in at any time. The hotel ‘gym’ was very small and didn’t even have dumbbells. The breakfast was ok. Again, the set up was weird and a bit confusing. There were many different tables with food and the table that had the plates was furthest from the entrance so there wasn’t any ‘flow’. We also missed having bacon. I’m very sorry to have to give a poor review but these are all small things that I feel should be easy to fix and would truly make a huge difference.

Beautiful grounds, but there's a road close by, so you'll get traffic with your morning tea. We rented bikes free of charge the whole weekend, which was great. close enough to the city, and to the lakes, which are worth visiting.

Breakfast was very disappointing and bland. Only winter duvets - very warm in summer. Kinda old place, vibe is slow, not chill, a bit like visiting your grandparents

The location is nice, most staff are friendly. Breakfast was fair, but nothing special. The surroundings are amazing. You can hear the noise from the doors nearby if you are located right in the beginning of the hallway for rooms.

The bed size for the junior suit was small. It was only 140cm wide which is not enough for two people. Therefore we rank this quite uncomfortable room. The rest was fine.... The lobby is nice and the room was cleaned nicely after the first day.

Breakfast was up the standard you would expect of a hotel of this class. Although the town centre is quite close , taking only a few minutes by bike, the hotel has extensive grounds making it quiet and restful

We were disappointed to learn that, although we were staying at the hotel overnight, there was no room for us to eat at the hotel's restaurant. If this happens regularly , overnight guests should be clearly made aware of this problem in advance of their stay
