Need sound proofing as Road traffic was too noisy so could not sleep well.

Very pleasant staff and comfortable lounge bar area to relax in. Plenty of parking. Location was great. Phone available for taxi to town. Staff very helpful. Room as described clean tidy and comfortable. Communal areas very clean well lit and well maintained.

In the evening the bar area and restaurant felt really cold. It was warm in the afternoon when we checked in. Really cold day outside. Our experience in the restaurant (party of 4) was not a great experience, two of us got our food after a lengthy wait. We had to chase server for remaining meals and side orders. Despite her walking by serving other table. Food wasn’t great (warm) but we had waited so long we started eating, two of our friends had a much longer wait as they forgot to come out to tell us there were no prawns for one meal. Didn’t explain why the other salmon dish was delayed? When the remaining orders arrived again lukewarm and not great. One dish was sent back looked awful the Side order was cold. Server didn’t bother to check in everything was ok. We had to find her again - And again when we wanted desserts and coffees we had been there for 2 hours desserts had mostly gone so we asked for hot chocolate and coffees. She didn’t clear table despite coming over with an empty trolley, so we cleared it ourselves. Another colleague came with the hot drinks order everything was cold. At that stage we had enough and complained to a manager. We were not the only ones complaining. The manager was lovely and said they had agency staff on and they were very busy she said not their usual standard of service. If the food would have arrived hot and we ate together it might of been a different experience! Breakfast the next morning was buffet style - plenty of variety, spoilt for choice - area clean and restocked by staff - fresh hot breakfast was lovely. Fruit, yogurt, cereals toast croissants juices teas coffees - lovely

room was spacious, clean and attractive with a really good shower room. Complimentary shower gel, shampoo and lovely fluffy bath sheets

The mattresses were unbelievably hard and uncomfortable. I have 4 fractured vertebrae so felt the hard mattress particularly. My daughter in the other bed, no back problems felt the mattress was really hard.

Although room was clean, the shower was not , the tray was clean but very clear the walls of the walk-in shower had not been cleaned for a while. The bar and restaurant were massively overpriced, stayed with my daughter age just 14 but was not entitled to child breakfast, 🤷‍♀️

Food was nice at breakfast. The environment was very clean and the service at reception was good.

The bed was uncomfortable. Service was poor at the bar on the evening we used it-there was nobody serving & I had to go to the kitchen to ask for somebody to help after myself & two other customers had been waiting for ten minutes. Didn't like the coffee machine in the room either-it seemed overcomplicated. Also the gym was very small and cramped.

The location for what we wanted was good.

The bedding was stained on the top sheet, immediately visible, so the cleaning staff should of changed it when making the bed.

limited menu in restaurant after three days I had exhausted it and had two 4 night weeks to eat there
