Clean, good shower, decent bed, had a fan. Nice hotel for non-summer visits. Breakfast buffet was great.

It was a warm week and the room didn't have air conditioning. I couldn't keep the window open because of the noise from the restaurant and the chuch bells next door.

This hotel was a real joy. It was well appointed and spotlessly clean throughout. The quality far exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful, both at reception and in the dining room. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the local railway station so is ideal for anyone on a rail holiday.

It got loud at night so we had to close windows, which meant the room was a bit too warm.

The location is very central and close to the main street with shops and restaurants. The hotel and the room are very clean. The staff is very friendly. I can only recommend it. The restaurant at the hotel serves good quality meals.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kronenhof. Excellent Buffet breakfast. Clean and comfortable double room with ensuite. Walking distance from train station and ferry port. Right in centre of Old Town. Definately recommended for fellow travellers.

Very good stay at hotel Kronenhof : convenient location in the middle of the town, not far from station, nice modern room with wifi working very well, excellent breakfast with a wide range of beverages and food. Special mention for the home made birchermüsli and fresh fruit salade. We also could have information from reception on visits to do around Schaffhouse. The restaurant of the hotel offers a wide range of excellent dishes and it is convenient to eat there after a day of sightseeing.

During one weekend night, one of the bars further away was open till late night and the drunk people there made lots of noise and shooted on the street. This is of course not the hotels fault, it's just the bars that should close earlier and not give drunk people more to drink ! As it was Summer, windows were open, it must be different in Winter with closed windows.

What a perfect location when arriving by car (could be a bit of a walk from the train station with luggage) Great walking access to the town, the river and the Munot. And some rooms with a great view of the fort. Great breakfast. Evening dining available on site.

Like all of Switzerland, a bit costly, but worth it. At least the $ exchange rate was most favorable.

Directly opposite the cathedral's in a pleasant pedestrianised area. We paid extra for a large room with a cathedral view, but well worth it. Staff exceptionally helpful, including offer of late shower as well as luggage storage to help with our late-night flight.

A good 10 minutes walk from the railway station, so may not suit those with heavy luggage
