Don't listen bad comments, please... That place is an amazing value for money. Second stay on the overwater room and was amazing. We tried the dinner buffer this year and it was tasty!

Nothing really, better staff than last year also.

We stayed in the over water bungalow which was absolutely beautiful! The water is amazing and you can just walk into the sea and snorkel! We have snorkelled in many places but this wasn’t far the best. The staff were so lovely too.

The food is terrible! Sadly you needed to catch the water shuttle into the main island to get a descent meal.

The over water bungalow and snorkeling was stunning. But that’s where it stopped.

Food over priced and un healthy. Double charge on my bank account, second transaction is still pending one week later and has put my account in negative. No shop to buy drinks or snacks, we didn’t get time before catching boat. Highly recommend bring own food.

Huge gorgeous room, big comfy bed. Just an amazing space. Everything spotlessly clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Pool area really nice. An incredibly relaxing experience. Breakfast options are really extensive and delicious. Great value for money considering you get ferry transfer, buffet breakfast, snorkel hire and 1L bottle of water (each) included.

Shower wasn't that hot or powerful. No corkscrew in room, we had brought a bottle of wine to the island and had to ask the staff in the restaurant to open it (which they happily did).

The wi fi coverage was excelent but the download speed was very low could not stream sd tv without constant buffering.The repetivness of the buffet and cold presentation of hot food.

This is without doubt a stunning location and the staff work hard to make your stay a pleasant one.

The buffet breakfast is fair, though there was a strange shortage of fresh vegetables. However, lunch and dinner are well below par for a hotel of this standing. They lost us completely after a $50 pizza which a child could make in one minute. We chose to take the boat and eat in town.

Stunning place overall. Seeing the turtles and other creatures alone made it worth the trip. You'd be on the boardwalk or in your bungalow and you could see it all happening. Adored watching the turtles say hello, and particularly enjoyed seeing a baby shark one of the days! Really easy to navigate getting across to the island with the navette. Staff were delightful, always happy to help and have a chat. Overwater bungalow had plenty of space, and bathroom was fabulous. If I were to come back again, I wouldn't bother with a bungalow on the island - I'd go straight for the over-water option. It was an exceptional experience to have and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I think we were also pleasantly surprised because we had read reviews that it was horrifically busy on the weekend. Because îlot maître is so close to Noumea, it is also subject to the swim ban (until 31 Dec 2023), so many locals went to other islands to swim - so lucky us! It was super quiet and calm, and felt like a true getaway, without having to queue for a watersport gear rental etc. It was quiet and LOVELY.

These aren't terribly grave points, but to be nitpicky: The swim ban! While this wasn't the hotel's fault, it also wasn't clearly communicated to guests, other than the big red flags intermittently placed around the island & a poster of the law with the ban at reception - if you didn't speak French, it was easy to miss. Just a simple reminder at check-in would've been great. (This being said, no one was stopped from swimming in the ocean or hiring any watersport gear...) Regarding food options - breakfast had a great range, but the prices of food for lunch and particularly dinner were extortionate. Food options were mostly, if not all, fried and/or greasy, unless you wished to pay around AUD90 for a buffet-style meal for dinner. I think the island would benefit from a salad bar or smoothie place or something! Would have loved to know that there was going to be a fridge in the room - as we could have brought some food to snack on to get us through to the next meal. Not a very pleasant culture around holiday makers making sure they get a chair by the pool - many brought their towel to breakfast and had dibsed a chair before the pool was even open! Many of these people then didn't turn up to the pool for hours. Disappointing that everyone couldn't just share a little more! Also, don't leave your stairs down - the snakes DO like to climb up and say hi.

Le cadre l’accueil le bungalow 265 sur l’eau idyllique. On a vu les tortues magnifique et un tricot rayé. Peut-être un léger petit bémol sur le buffet du soir par rapport au prix mais les produits étaient bons et frais

L’emplacement, les rideaux occultants qui permettent une vraie obscurité.

Loisir autour de l’hôtel, manque des jeux, (pétanque, raquette ping-pong….) pour la restauration uniquement le buffet est trop onéreux et il faudrait de vrai plat en alternative et non du snacking. Manque une boutique pour acheter des accessoires de vacances, crème, lunettes de soleil….

Gorgeous location, great breakfast, great room! We enjoyed the relaxed nature of the island and beautiful views. We loved being greeted with ‘bonjour’ by all staff. The on-site massage was absolutely wonderful and the JetSki hire was really fun.

Seemed a bit understaffed and some communication barriers. Good and drinks for dinner buffets took especially long to make and the pool bar was only open one afternoon. It was our honeymoon weekend and we’d hoped to have something special to acknowledge this.

- The location is simply stunning - Almost guaranteed sight of green turtles - Crystal clear waters and good snorkeling at your doorstep - Amazing sunrises and sunsets - Natural reserve with local birds, flora and fauna

- Probably, some of the staff have not been properly trained. Some of them were not even friendly/welcoming and looked like they did not want to be there - The main pool was closed for the whole time and they never opened the bar in the other pool. We did not receive any sort of compensation or gesture for that - We were stuck on the island on the weekend since there was no space on the boats to go back and forth to the mainland. We tried to reserve one day in advance, but apparently it was already too late - Food is ridiculously overpriced and not worth it at all. No local dishes on the menu, and the fish is not great - Long waits for drinks and food from the kitchen. Some of the staff were still trying their best, so it is not their fault. They are probably seriously understaffed - The bed was very comfortable, and it was easy to adjust the temperature, but I had imagined a better room for the price. We barely had a wardrobe Overall, this is not what I was expecting from a DoubleTree. It was my first experience at a DoubleTree and I was very excited about it. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The vacation was still enjoyable since I was with a friend. I would never come here for an important celebration like a Honeymoon though. We did not even receive the famous cookies at our arrival!

Aucun bar ouvert à notre arrivée (a 9h40) pour prendre un café, le bar de la piscine a été fermé tout notre séjour (dommage car on aurait adoré prendre un cocktail !), une des deux piscines était fermée … ce sont des petites choses mais c est dommage alors que le potentiel est énorme pour cet établissement

Les prix de la restauration boisson et autres. Il faut viser tout type de clientèle. Chercher un équilibre de prix ça permettra aux clients de plus consommer c’est donnant-donnant !

Le calme sur l'ilot, le petit déjeuner est très fourni avec fruits frais le prix est très correct car il comprend tout le petit déj, le bateau, l'hotel l'accès à la piscine est un vrai plus pour les enfants, et c'est ce qui fait qu'ils veulent revenir. le fait de pouvoir observer les oiseaux marins, les tricots rayés, poissons ... le jeu de piste

Przede wszystkim jedzenie hotelowe. Śniadania i popołudniowy bufet były okropne. Nie dało się tam nic normalnego zjeść. Dodatkowo hotel położony jest na wyspie lęgowej ptaków nocnych, które bardzo mocno hałasują i nie dają spać.

We have truly loved this place! Great and super kind staff, AMAZING Cristal clear water around this small island, super nice and clean bungalows with all that you need. We had the one on the beach and it was just divine! Honestly speaking I really don't understand some previous reviews saying that food is not good. You have a huge choice of food, and the quality is also good! Breakfast was truly great! Pasta was even great! ( And I am from Italy!) I would definitely recommend it and come back if I will ever have the chance again! Thank you to all the staff. You are very kind and welcoming 😊

The place is absolutely amazing, really beautiful, our room was comfortable and very clean. Despite of the swimming ban, we had a good time and enjoyed the island. We saw turtles every day in the water in front of our bungalow.

The food options are very limited (and expensive), there’s no special menu for kids (other than chips/fries). Overall, the food and drinks didn’t worth the price we paid for. However, breakfast was very nice. I would have appreciated someone told us to be aware of the huge amount of snakes around our terrace (beach access bungalow), specially because we have a 4 years old child who was playing outside all the time.

Bon établissement avec un très bel emplacement sur l’îlot maître. Cafre idyllique et paradisiaque.

La nourriture très cher pour ce que c’est. Et le personnel pas sympathique , j’ai subi une escroquerie en ayant modifiant auprès d’eux ma réservation de base de chez booking. J’ai dû donc payer deux reservation celle de booking de base et la nouvelle auprès d’eux. Une vraie escroquerie qui me restera en travers de la gorge.
