lower level room felt like a low-ceiling basement and slightly 'tired'. sweet check-in help, but only spoke french and Portuguese not english or spanish. again, super sweet though!

Cosy, charm hotel with a spacious room and comfortable lounge, Rooftop sunlounge a pleasant surprise. Location perfect, ameanaties within walking distance.

Maybe a comfortable chair in the bedroom.

We loved the beautiful historical house with spaces to relax and be comfortable (terrace, living room, outdoor breakfast area and lower sitting areas). The location was so central and also so peaceful and quiet. But what made the experience so enjoyable was the charming and helpful Philomina “Mina”. She was generous and thoughtful and made sure we were well taken care of. The breakfasts she prepared for us were delicious and we enjoyed her explaining the local tastes. She was a gift during our stay!

Filomena who is the manager was amazing and very nice. She held a premium parking spot right in front of the hotel just for us. We really enjoyed out stay.

From the moment we walked in, we felt extremely welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight and the room was lovely. The location was brilliant, close to the shops, restaurants and ferry to the beach.

Away from the main drag but very close to everything (especially an excellent restaurant round the corner). The ferry to the island beaches is near. No need to have a car if all you want to do is go to the beach. Very nice staff. This is a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel but it a good place to stay in the centre of Tavira.

I loved the hotel and staff! Beautiful restored and an excellent location! The room and bathroom were big and the bed was very comfy. The shared spaces are beautiful, I felt like I was in a palace. Filomena was a wonderful host and Mark, who handled breakfast, was great. The breakfast was big and a perfect way to start the day!

Our experience with Tavira house hotel is extremely positive. We booked for one night, but extended our stay with 2 more nights, because it was so delightful. The hotel is a beautifully renovated mansion, with very comfortable, large and clean rooms (we loved the showers and bed) and lovely communal place (we especially enjoyed the terrace where breakfast was served). The location of the hotel is great is well: a few minutes walk from the city centre and the harbor to take the ferry to the beaches of Ilha Tavira. The host and his sister are extremely welcoming (and funny). We really felt at home here and we would definitely recommend this to all who plan to visit Tavira!
