We were walking the Camino del Norte and finishing in Gijon. It was convenient to the bus station, church and town. Alina and Neri - reception staff - were great - very helpful - we had to change our plans slightly and so they sorted out our booking problem immediately - took time to share their knowledge of the city with us. will stay there when we go back to complete this Camino route - hopefully next year.

Hotel Avenida is perfect for everyone who just needs a bed and a quick sleep before heading off to another place by bus. It's located just around the corner from the ALSA bus station. The room was extremely clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom simple, but functional. It was very quiet, so one could get a good portion of sleep. During my entire travels in Spain, in Hotel Avenida I met the friendliest receptionist, curious, talkative, funny and very helpful to all my questions. I felt more than welcome!

The rooms are in fact pretty old and I had to let in some fresh air at first. But given the cheap rate, it's nothing to really complain about.
