We stayed here for one night, without the dinner. The owner is super lovely. The breakfast was tasty. Onsen was very relaxing and kept well.

Our bathroom in the room was pretty outdated and could’ve been kept better.

Located very close to the train station. Very quiet. The room was big and we slept really well. We also enjoyed the nice breakfast and the family bath. Would certainly recommend.

Our stay at Ryokan Kaminaka was an amazing experience! It is such a beautiful ryokan with a lot of history and a very homey atmosphere. The building is very old and traditional which makes it a rather unique experience. It is family owned and everyone is so welcoming and warm. Our room was spacious, the futon beds were comfortable, and we had our own bathroom. In the morning we were served a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast in the dining room with a wonderful view of the garden. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had a great experience staying at their ryokan. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Takayama.

The room was gorgeous, with views to the garden and very spacious. The food was delicious too, it felt homemade and good quality. We also enjoyed the family bath!

Check in was at 4pm and check out at 10am so it felt too short for just one night

The manager was lovely and so helpful. It was great to stay in a traditional house. The breakfast room and food was fab.

Our own bathroom would be lovely. Though I think we booked our own private slot in the bath so didn't have to bathe with other guests .
