The location, surrounded by nature (but easy-to-drive road from Alta) was very scenic. The wi-fi worked well, The room had character. THere is convenient food available for many hours starting in the late afternoon. This was a buffet of three casseroles (we liked all three, so that was good), with good bread. Beer etc. available. Silent at night.

The walks nearby were good, but the flies and mosquitoes were troublesome.

Extremly friendly and helpful staff, very clean accomodation and a very good breakfast! Nice location a bit outside the city!

No binding curtain over door, had to block it with an unused bedsheet. Please put the curtain back, as the hooks were on the ceiling ;)

Great location, with nature and walks available from the lodge. The scenery on the drive to the lodge is fantastic. Great area for northern lights viewing if you have clear skies. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Good breakfast in a nice environment. I got to see great northern lights, stunning snowy landscapes and even some Moose😀😀

It is expensive to both stay there and to get a transfer from Alta if needed. However it is worth the experience and it is also cheaper than some other options within the general area.

Great location in nature. The scenery was captivating. The cottage is very cosy. The staff is very helpful. Overall, it was a great place!

We stayed in the dome at gargia Lodge as part of our honeymoon. We only stayed one night due to time constraints but we absolutely loved it. The staff could not have done more for us and made an extra effort to add some lovely touches to our room to celebrate our honeymoon. They also collected us at last minute from elsewhere in alta as we could not get transport to them. The area is beautiful and the dome was a wonderful experience with northern lights right outside. We would definitely stay again and thank you so much !

Location is ideal visiting Alta Canyon and waterfall. Still it’s in the middle of nowhere with no possibility to buy any extra food etc.

During our stay, there was only summer helper available: he couldn’t answer any questions, dinner requests or anything else. The room was not clean and the smell in the room was not what expected.

Wonderfull staff, very nice location near the Orvvosfossen and Alta canyon. Dinner was exellent. Our room had a floor heating int the bathroom wich was nice. We really enjoyed our stay!

We arrived Late at night but found the keys and instructions to enter our apartment. This lodge is located in the middle of nowhere, bull moose that cried loud in the night and husky dogs all around, it was really what we looked for.. unfortunately We spent just one night and couldn't Walk around for a hike in this beautiful place..

Fantastic place! Since we were there outside the main season and there were few visitors due to Covid, without having asked for it we got un upgrade to a very nice room inside the big house, with an additional bedroom on top. Since we were in Alta to do the hike to Sautso Canyon, the location couldn't have been better! It is only a 4 km drive to the starting point. The area is very quiet and in the room everything you might need is available: the seating area is spacious and comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped with a large dining table, and the shower is perfect. Perfect value for money!

The cabin was very spacious since we got an upgrade for free which was so kind of them. Perfect location to see the Northern Lights.

There's a Husky Farm next door and the dogs were very loud in the night and early in the morning.

Great quite place. Very nice land lord. Upgraded us to bigger place without extra cost. I recommend this place highly. Kids friendly too.

Great location, peaceful, excellent hiking nearby. Cosy apartment. Very kind and helpful host. Nice outdoor area with gapahuk and fireplace.

The Apartment was cosy but could be upgraded with better fridge and stove. The toilet seat should be replaced by a new, fitting one.

Very nice place and staff. We booked the igloo and we had a great view of the river throw the forest in sunset lights. Nice interior design. Free coffee and tea all day long. Breakfast was included.

Despite the price which was not that low (1320 nok -about 130euro) we had not private bathroom as it was written on booking, it was pretty cold during the night and probably nobody booked it lately because we found quite a lot of dust and spider webs in the “room”. Probably the igloo is a better choice In winter. For the bathroom you have to walk about 50m till you reach the basement of the main house where is a shared bathroom.
