The owners can speak chinese so it makes communication easy, furthermore they’re also super nice and friendly, never hesitating to offer help and recommendations of the area. Rooms are really clean and slightly larger than most hotels you can find in Japan. Location is near the train station and Tomita farm is just a 20mins walk away. The breakfast was amazing and the bread was handmade by the owner, making the breakfast extra heartwarming.

may be a little difficult to access the hotel by train as the road towards the property is rocky and uphill so if you are with luggage, it’s recommended to take a taxi instead

For a stay in a pretty rural area I think this hotel (not Ryokan) is a little overpriced. Breakfast being an additional 2000 yen was pretty weak, but in general the owners and facilities were nice.

The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. They dry ski boots, and swept the snow off our car. The facility is very clean and new. The proprietors recommended some local restaurants that were good (not great) and not in google. We recommend following the restaurant recommendations of the proprietors. The breakfast is tasty, but is small for the added cost. If we stay there again we might do our own breakfasts.

There are motion sensors inside the guest rooms, and when you move around it turns on the lights in the entry and toilet area. Very annoying at night. But you can disable this because like some developing country hotels you have to insert the key fob in a slot to turn the overhead lights on, so at night you can just pull the key fob out of the switch that enables the overhead lights. And there is a bedside lamp with a switch on the lamp, in case you need light while the overhead lights are disabled.

Absolutely loved our stay at hanafuji We based ourselves here for 7 nights for skiing around the daisetsuzan area. Hanafuji inn was lovely and new, warm and well designed. Our room was nice and roomy for all our gear and had amazing mountain views from the window. Bed was big and comfortable. The hosts were amazing. They had boot dryers to put in our ski boots after we got back in the evenings and brushed the snow off our car in the mornings before we went out for the day.

The breakfast was great! Room was comfortable! Owner/staff gave good recommendations for where to go for food and fun.

Owner was super nice & helpful with recommendations on food & transport. Entire Inn was new & super clean, same for the room. Inn was located in a quaint, quiet town called Naka Furano.

While there were not many food options there, its just 1 stop from main Furano area. If you note the train & bus schedules well, it's not that hard to get around. (Best to drive tho)
