Great location, fantastic view, nice pool, walking distance to town, 3 minute walk to Pelagis bay great for snorkelling

The downstairs bedroom had a bed that’s awful. Very uncomfortable mattress. Our son and his wife slept on the floor and eventually checked into a hotel. Also the a/c controllers in the same room and lounge weren’t working for the first night as the owner hadn’t checked that they were operable before our visit.

Really lovely villa, with a fabulous view and fabulous pool. Can't imagine there are many villas that could rival that combo. Location was great, far enough outside of Skala that it was quiet enough, but not too far away that it was easy enough to visit shops, bars, restaurants, beaches. Denise was a great host... We had an issue with an air con unit and she was quickly on-it getting it sorted.

It was a beautiful villa in a great location: just outside Skala, but within easy walking distance of beaches, sheltered coves and some good restaurants. The pool was superb and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need. There was even a friendly cat that liked to make a visit!

The beds were on the small side, being doubles, and the pillows were very uncomfortable - however, this sort of thing is a matter of individual taste and is not the reason why we are not give this property a top rating. The bigger issue is that we didn't really appreciate the feeling that the owner could pop by unannounced at any moment, and the fact that there seemed to be rules and regulations for everything . In fact, after returning to the villa after a day out, we found a rather 'passive aggressive' note saying that the water we had left out for the cat should have been placed on the roadside above. Point 1: giving a cat a drink of water in a heatwave, and in a container that did not belong to the villa, DID NOT in fact transgress one of the many house rules. Point 2: We didn't appreciate the owner entering the property, seemingly to check up on us! We didn't pay for a private villa for a family holiday to have less privacy than in a hotel! Also, prospective guests should be aware that they are expected to vacate the property for what was just over two hours on a Sunday morning for an obligatory housekeeping visit, after which they didn't even replenish the toilet rolls. All in all, our holiday was wonderful but we all said that we'd be booking a hotel next year rather than a not-so-private villa.

The outside pool area and the view are amazing

Skala is not the best of what Kefalonia has to offer . It would be more convenient if 2 keys were given - one key can be restrictive and complicated with the AC functionality

The property was beautiful inside and out. It had absolutely everything we could have hoped for and more. Denise the host was extremely helpful and super friendly. We would very happily come back here. The view was amazing and the local amenities were fairly close by.

It is a moderate walk to the town centre and we found taxis difficult to get sometimes but we were happy not to always head into the town, and actually found the restaurants outside of the town (closer to the villa) to be better quality food and atmosphere.

The location is amazing with breathtaking views over the sea. A short walk to restaurants and bars nearby. The pool area is fabulous and very comfortable.

The villa was amazing - fantastic views -excellent facilities - air conditioning - comfortable rooms - superb shower - great bbq - it literally had everything we needed . The pool area was fantastic and the location brilliant as it is set about 25 mins from the main resort of Skala but this was ideal as it provided us with a lovely walk every evening and if we did need to grab a taxi this was only 5 euros . We would definitely choose to come back here . Our host was very friendly and popped in a couple of times to check we had everything we needed and to give advice on the area . Thoroughly recommend this and we had a fantastic family holiday here .

Cannot fault the villa - the only thing we didn’t like was the mosquitos !
