Bed was very comfortable room a nice size and view from balcony was great

The room looked clean from appearance when we first arrived. But when my husband dropped something behind the bedside table and pulled it out there was dirt and rotting pepper behind didn’t look that cleaned for awhile. He also discovered that under the bed it was filthy. There were crumbs and dirt balls so not cleaned or vacuumed there.

Location and view great and the room looked newly renovated.

No proper isolation and could hear heavy, loud footsteps and voices from room above mine until after midnight and walking woke me up again shortly after 5 am. Not much sleep that night.

Dear management of the Bigtub resort, From the 13th to the 15th of September I have stayed in your resort with a party of four. We stayed in room 8. Unfortunately, we had some very serious complaints about the state of the room. We expressed these complaints to one of your employees when checking out on Thursday the 15th of September. The receptionist understood our complaints and expressed her apologies on behalf of the Bigtub Resort, but unfortunately was not able to do anything else for us. She then asked us if we would like for her manager to contact us via phone to talk about these issues. However since we are from the Netherlands and have no cell-phone coverage in Canada, we agreed that an e-mail would also be fine. Unfortunately we have not received any e-mail yet. Therefore please see below list of issues we found during our stay at the Bigtub Resort: -Upon entering the room it smelled really moldy, the smell of a wet dog. -The room was quite dusty and dirty. Please see pictures in attachement. -There were multiple killed musquito's on the walls including blood spatter. Please see pictures in attachement -In the bathroom there was fungus and dead bugs. Please see pictures in attachement. -The tub is clogged. It takes a long time for the water to drain, and with four persons in one room this causes an unsanitary situation. -The room is very noisy and you can hear every step the nextdoor and upper neighbours take. -There was a chair in the room with a darkbrown/red stain on the seating that we suspected was either blood or poop. We complained about this to staff and were told that they attempted to clean it but were unsuccesful, and left it in the room. We received a different chair after this. -Lastly but for us most significant: The towels were not clean. The were a lot of serious stains on the towels. Some towels had very large dark stains on them. Some of the smaller towels had multiple yellow stains on them.
