The location is great. However, the house needs work. The ice makers didn’t work on either of the fridges. Luckily there is a guy who sales it and will deliver it. The door was broken. One spatula. Plenty of dishes and glasses. No bowels for mixing (or ones with lids would be nice). No starter toliet paper. I will say Drew from maintenance was awesome. He fixed the whole on the fence so the dog couldn’t get out. And took the door off so it wouldn’t keep banging and waking up the kids( owner didn’t want to fix it). Brought us batteries for the remotes ( not a one in them). And offered to get us the ice. Thanks Drew. Replace some kitchen stuff and just general maintenance and the place would be great.

The location of this house was pristine. A literal 1 minute drive to the beach. Beautiful pool. Plenty of space. Beautiful house all around. Only suggestions would be to implement smart tv's in at least the game room and the great room. Also, the propane tank was a little low when we got there so I would recommend a full tank for each stay

Overall it was great. A few items around the property could be fixed, but the location is great and the house was everything we needed. We did have a water issue, it maintenance was sent out to fix the problem. The pool needed cleaned when we got there, that too was taken care of with proper service.

We had a great get away. If you love the horses this house would be great for you. They stayed on the yard for 4 days. When we got there pool and hottub was gross but they responded quickly ( and fixed them. (Most chairs around pool are broken so bring your own) The house could've been cleaner f(found trash under chairs, beds, and in corners) we had an water heater problem the whole time and called it in twice with no one showing up. We had to flip the breaker to turn many times a day. Which was aggravating when you're on the 3 floor and walk down the stairs to bottom floor just to have hot water. If you relie on the towles provided you may what to bring your own (just your motel 6 towles) kitchen was well stocked, had everything i needed to cook all week. Make sure you bring you toilet paper and paper towels before you get there. Overall we had a great week.

The location was great, very close to the beach. Bonus we seen horses everyday in our yard. BUT the house has a very ran down feel. Things were just not maintained, things like toilets running 24/7 which then made the well run constantly. The water was so chlorinated it bleached a couple of my shirts. Decks were in rough shape, light bulbs out everywhere, had to switch some around so we had light in a bathroom. While floors, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, the house could really use a deep clean. Pool was very nice and a good size. Out door shower area should just be torn down.

Filthy and falling apart. Hard to believe I spent thousands on having my whole family stay with us. As soon as we stepped into the house it was nothing but dirt and dust. Pillows had yellow stains and pool was over chlorinated. We were unable to swim in the pool due to this. The deck was flimsy and in poor condition. This house needs some serious TLC. Will not be staying here again.

The pictures are very deceiving. The hot tub was disgusting when we got there. The bathrooms were disgusting also. The deck on the third floor and the second floor very very very unsafe for anyone let alone kids. Very very poor water pressure. Hundreds of hundreds of flies. Had to email and complain right out of the gate. Definitely will never run through this realtor company again. For the price of the unit i was expecting much different results. The property has a condemned house directly behind 30 feet that does not showing any pictures.

Was dirty and I have pictures of everything!!
Top to bottom this house was nothing like the pictures or description!! Was completely disgusting. From the pool having a dead frogs to mouse droppings and ants all in the kitchen.
And forget using the downstairs hang out area it was so musty and moldy, I couldn’t breathe my allergies were terrible. I ended up in the doctors office when I got home.
So if you want to see dead animals/clean up other peoples messes/go to the hospital after your vacation because you have a terrible infection from the mold and this is the house for you!

This property has a great location with ocean views and a full wrap around deck. We loved all the seating around the deck, but we did realize it made it tough to gather outside with a large group because the deck is not that deep. The house has a lot of rooms, but it has a run down feel. It needs painted. There are plants coming up through the concrete around the pool. The outdoor shower is like a catch all for all sorts of ****. There are things they set aside for repair sitting around outside. The pool gate seems ready to fall off. Still. It fits a lot of people snd you can see the ocean.

Our family rented this home over a year in advance. We were a little nervous as some bad reviews started coming in. We were happily surprised when we arrived! This home is absolutely wonderful! It was very clean on arrival. The kitchen is equipped with anything you’d need to cook for a large group. There is. wonderful game room in the lowest level that has an area to hangout. The pool and hot tub were very clean and a wonderful time! The neighborhood is very quite and peaceful! We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely book again! The only thing to note is there were no paper towels, toilet paper or trash bags upon arrival. This wasn’t a problem because we prepared and brought some but if you don’t bring a starter for yourself it could be a problem! Overall amazing vacation!

We traveled a long way for our daughter's graduation trip. We thought the area was absolutely beautiful but when we got into the house and saw that there was debris in the garbage cans and there were mouse traps with peanut butter on them. when we paid extra to bring our puppy that's where the disappointments started. We spent the 1st half of our 1st day there cleaning up things things in the kitchen and cleaning the bathrooms. By the time the cleaning crew got there we'd already taken care of some things because we wanted to unpack and start our vacation. There were a few things wrong with the place and the 3rd time I called be trial to find the got back to me and said that they would make amends. He said that they were going to credit us a $100 from our $6600 trip. The simple fact that I had to call them 3 times for him to finallyrespond was beyond ridiculous. We will never use beach realty again. Just a tip when a family comes down to make memories, try not ruining them for them.

The house has so much potential, not least of which it’s location and views. The pool was loved by all as was the sunrises and sunsets. The house itself is in desperate need of update, not just compared to its neighbors but also in general. Lights flicker, the deck has splinters useful for slaying any potential vampires, and windows sweat like a parent watching their kids walk barefoot on said decks. All in all it was a good stay, but the “almost” qualities of the house definitely detracted from the experience.

Great vacation, home needed some TLC and there were some issues with the cleanliness of the house. The Wifi didn't work and some televisions didn't work. Also there was so much horse **** all over the property pretty gross. Will be visiting again but not going through this rental agency. Not impressed.Wish there was more information given about where this house was located, we were on milemarker 20 and trying to find it in the dark was not pleasant.

There is something wrong with the grousing of the wires and when stepping into the pool of you have one foot on deck and one foot in the pool you would get a shock. We loved the house. The only problem was the pool. It wasn't properly grounded, so, we didn't use it after the first day. We shared this with the pool maintenance company but the only solution was to put down rubber mats beside the pool. Fortunately, friends were staying next door so we used their pool (they didn't have the same problem with their pool). We wouldn't rent this house again.

Great location. Short drive to the beach. Beautiful sunrise every morning, kids had a blast in the pool, and lots of horse sightings! Cleanest dog friendly home we've ever stayed in the OBX. I do wish room layouts were disclosed on the listing. One of the bunk rooms is located in the basement- far from the other rooms. Not ideal for younger kids. It does have its own bathroom and would make more sense if it were converted to a queen and one of the other rooms be converted to the 2nd bunk room. There were also LOTS of nails lying around the porches. Unsure of how there were so many everyday and wouldn't recommend anyone walk in porches or below the house in bare feet.

Yucky yuck
I have nothing good to say about this property for the price. The down stairs bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds where dirty and the lights didn't work at all!!!! The downstairs shower also didnt work. I messaged for clean sheets and more towels and never got them. The top deck wood was so rotted that we almost fell through, sand was in all beds, the hot tub was gross and dirty...never again. We will never ever stay there again. Gross, take your bus elsewhere.

great location lack of cleanliness
This was our second time staying at this property and we love the size for our large family and the location which is a quick walk from the beach! only negative is that even though they charge a cleaning fee and we understand they can’t clean super well we had to clean the entire place before using it. bathrooms had stuff in them and all the bedrooms had food on the floor and one room even had pills under the bed which is not great when you have 3 little kids. besides the cleanliness the stay was great!

We had to cut our trip short due to a death in the family; however, we did enjoy the beach and area. The house pictures are very old and misleading. There are houses in front, behind, and beside the house. The horses did come up to our bottom door and walk on our bottom deck. The house is much older than it appears and needs good updating and maintenance. The first morning ants boiled out of the drain in the kitchen sink. We fought them everyday. My husband didn't inform until we were headed home that a rat met him on the first floor steps and crawled out the bottom door from a crack under the door. We found a 5 foot snake skin beside the pool fence, the neighbor caught the snake in the flooded street puddles that remained the entire time. Unburied lines and wires were in those same waters we had to drive through. A young man showed up one day to "fix the screens" and bounded up the steps. We caught him from the pool area and called to see if he was legitimate. The property is very grownup with weeds and messy. We were not satisfied with this house.

We loved our vacation and our location.Upon arrival we found some cleaning issues but sent photos to the realtor company so they would know. We just took care of it ourselves. ( it was garbage left behind on the deck in a bucket) This home was beautiful.

Paradise
We loved our vacation and our location.
Upon arrival we found some cleaning issues but sent photos to the realtor company so they would know. We just took care of it ourselves. ( it was garbage left behind on the deck in a bucket) This home was beautiful.

Awesome vacation
The house could use some updates, and outside shower area was messy but overall we loved it and met all of our needs. We saw 3 wild horses right away and saw them several times during the week. 20 minutes to town which did not bother us. Great beach access. The house is 3 levels which we did not realize. We would definitely stay here again and plan on booking at the same place next year !

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 4x4 VEHICLE. AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE WILL GET STUCK ON THE BEACH. 10 MILES OF BEACH DRIVING EACH WAY TO THIS HOUSE. WE ENJOYED THE HOUSE.
