The whole place was very dirty. The main bedroom downstairs had bedsides tables very dirty with marks of sticky duck tape on drawers. There was a broken fan in the wardrobe. There were mismatched curtains and there were holes in the fly screen so could not open windows for fresh air. The ensuite shower was not working it had only cold water. There was a packet of eaten yoghurt next to toilet. The whole carpet very dated, stained and dirty looked liked it had not been vacuumed in ages. Dust on the window , this place has not been cleaned in ages. The staircase was very dirty not vacuumed. The furniture in the rest of the place was mismatched, dated and dirty like straight from an op shop. There was a very dirty sponge in the kitchen to do dishes and no detergent offered. In the laundry window still there was an ashtray full of cigarettes butts.

Having to go offside for food even to get a toasted sandwich would have been nice.

The hotel accommodated me despite not getting paid by Priceline or booking.com for my accommodations before I arrived, in the hope that everything will be straightened out between myself and priceline/booking.com.

When Priceline was paid by me initially for the reservation package, they didn't automatically pay lodging. My bank account has itemized charges instead of the lump sum that was expected to be withdrawn, which allowed other factors to interfere with the total process.

Staff generally nice and location convenient to visit family as I do regularly

Issues with other guests...... police called twice and site manager did not answer his phone. I am a repeat quest who has been staying at the Cleveland over the last few years. I felt the issue involving police should have been handled better and as my husband and I got ZERO sleep on that particular night, we should have been rembursed one night's accommodation

Very noisy and dirty entrance to rooms

The location was good the bed was comfy and big

The pool was empty, my bathroom had an old soap bar in it the roof had fallen and been screwed back up the tv was tiny

Location close to shops

Hotel is under renovation and is very tired, room curtains had holes, view out of window was awful, crap everywhere !!
