Strongly recommend a visit to this beautiful house and garden in the charming village of Castellet. Quim made us feel very welcome. The house was very spacious for the 8 of us(6 adults and 2 children). Excellent facilities at the house with very good wi-fi and well appointed kitchen. We were blessed with sunny weather and the garden is beautifully tranquil in a lovely village setting. A very nice restaurant is 50 metres along the street.

Nice house, well equipped and helpful and serviceminded host (Quim). We were 3 couples and with 4 bedrooms and bathrooms, it was perfect for. The garden is nice, but the swimmingpool is small and you need to go up the stairs to get a wiev of the lake. The village is little, but cosy, just one restaurant with limited opening hours. Lovely area to go hiking. Car is needed.

It was a very nice stay! The house was perfect, with the swimmingpool foor the kids. Near Taragona, Sitges, Barcelona... We stayed for 14 days, and we didn't wont to go home. We had a very relax stay, and the restaurant al the end of the street was also very good !!! The owner Quim was very friendly and he send us a list with other nice restaurants ! If it wasn't that far by car we drove back 😉.

Very nice apartment in a small Spanish village. This is the real Spain with nice people and a little tapas bar in the village. You need a car to stay here. Not so far from the beaches and several towns. Good mountain areas to go for a walk. Norwegian/Swedish family on 8 persons.

This lovely house has excellent facilities and is beautifully appointed. Very comfortable. Quim was very helpful in suggesting activities and arranged a wonderful wine tour for our group. The only negative is that the village does not have a restaurant, it is still closed for renovation.

Four of us arrived at Ca l'Helena to find this beautiful property attended by our very friendly and helpful host, Quim. We had taken him up on his offer to stock our kitchen with food, water, and coffee for our first day, and found he had provided the perfect assortment of things for us to enjoy, including a bottle of sparkling Cava to celebrate our arrival. Quim was most helpful in answering any of our questions and making suggestions for activities we might enjoy, including two human tower-building events, which were simply amazing. The house is charming, well-kept, and sturdy. It was well-stocked with kitchen equipment, linens, laundry facility, maps and brochures, and, although we never used it, a t.v. and dvd's. Castellet is a tiny village, with one restaurant (unfortunately it was closed for remodeling during our stay) and no shops, so a car is probably a necessity when staying at Ca L'Helena. But it's a lovely little town to walk about, with a castle up the hill, and a fish preserve down below. We spent our days exploring Catalonia in every direction and returned most evenings to prepare our dinner and relax on the patio at Ca L'Helena. It was an added bonus to have the swimming pool. All of us highly recommend Ca L'Helena.

The location was perfect for day trips. We enjoyed trips to Tarragona, Sitges, Montserrat and the wineries. L'Arboc was a perfect town for shopping. Castellet was a delight, visited the small store more than once. Sorry that we were unable to tour the castle. The six of us enjoyed the house very much, it was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed memorable meals every night. We appreciated the "greeness" of the house with solar heating and being able to recycle. It was a perfect vacation get away. Quim and Neil were a delight!

We could not have been any more pleased with our stay at Cal Helena. The home is gorgeous and perfect for a family gathering. The kitchen made for easy meal preparation, the bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms allow for privacy, and there is plenty of dining space both indoors and out. We spent many hours in the backyard--dipping in the pool, soaking up the sun and eating dinner under the stars. One of the best things about this property is the owners. Quim bought groceries for the begining of our stay. They were of very high quality and special effort was taken to provide us with regional treats, such as butifarra sausage, catanies, cured ham, fresh bread, seasonal produce, and cava. Quim even helped us to arrange a birthday celebration at a local restaurant, invited us to a human towers practice and took time out to share a special after-dinner coffee drink while explaining how it is prepared. We rounded out our stay with a bike rental from El Moli Tours. This is a must for an active family. There are lots of paved roads with little to no traffic winding through villages and vineyards that are great for exploring. Some of us even biked to the beach one day. Overall it was a wonderful experience that we would love to do again. It is a perfection location for anyone with an interest in wine and Spanish food, particularly if you enjoy cooking. We have chosen Ca I"Helena apartment, and afterwards we never regretted our choise. The apartment itself is very comfortable, with a wonderful swimmig pool, which is very good, if you travel with children. It is also very useful, that the apartment has a kitchen, so you can cook yourselves. We also enjoyed the silent privacy, and the precence of different places of interest nearby. Everything is very good, the only advice is that the travellers should have a car, because it can be quite difficult to reach another place on foot.

After our GPS took us to the correct address but in a different town, the owner was more than willing to come and get us to guide us to the right town. The house is exactly as described in the listing. It is very spacious, very clean, and wonderful view of the castle and reserve. The kitchen is stacked with pots, pans, utensils. It is a very quiet town. The owner offered to buy us some cold cuts, eggs, bacon, bread, butter, jam, etc. for us to have something for the first day and it was exquisite. He also had a bottle of cava for us and some local sweet treats. They explained all the details necessary for keeping the house in place and were willing to help us with any questions we had. The restaurant mentioned in other reviews is being remodeled right now so we did not have any restaurants close by. We drove to Vilafranca del Penedes twice for dinner as we did not find any restaurants in the close-by town or L'Arboc. I would strongly recommend this place if you want a relaxing, quiet vacation.

We stayed for 1 week in this beautiful home with close friends. It was perfect for two families - 4 adults, 4 children. The home is designed for rental with en suite bathrooms in each room and a 5th bathroom downstairs. Tons of amenities including a well equipped kitchen, lots of space to relax and gorgeous views. The pool was small but perfect for us. We enjoyed eating outdoors each night and visiting the local bird-watching area as well as wineries nearby. We especially loved the restaurant/cafe on the corner - wonderful food! and the little shop at the top of the village serving drinks, selling wine and serving the most wonderful cake! Day trips to Tarragon, Barcelona, Sitges and local beaches were easy once we got the hang of the roads and direction. The owner of the home was fantastic and even took as to see castellers train in Villa Franca - amazing! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location (complete with castle), wonderful home and relaxing time with close friends!

We stayed at Ca l'Helena for 9 days and various of our family (including out baby granddaughter) joined us for part of the time. The amenities were as described in the listing and made for a very comfortable stay. The conversion of this property has been very well designed, with all 4 double bedrooms having en-suite facilities. The garden and terrace are very attractively laid out. The house and garden were clean and well maintained. The view from the garden terrace is spectacular. Castellet is an interesting and beautifully restored village. The surrounding Penedes area is very attractive for walking and sightseeing. A nice, family friendly, beach at Vilanova can be reached in about 30 minutes. The nearby Cal Barratet restaurant was very good. Quim and his family were very welcoming and helpful. We have already recommended this property to friends.

We spent our time hiking the many trails, country roads, and vineyard fields in the area; visiting cava wineries in Villafranca del Penedes and Sant Sadurní d'Anoia; and enjoying the peace and quiet of the Foix River. Cal Helena itself is a spectacular house, comfortable, and equip with everything vacationing families need. The owners were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful with information about the local area. We felt at home and enjoyed many evening dinners out on the patio, enjoying the night air, clear skies, and a meal of fresh vegetables and fish from the neighboring town. If you are looking for a vacation spot where your family can truly unwind, spend a week or more in Castellet at Cal Helena.

If you are looking for the perfect home in the perfect village in one of the most beautiful regions of Spain, Cal Helena is everything you are looking for. We vacationed for a week at Cal Helena, enjoying coffee each morning at the village cafe, hiking the trails in the surrounding area, strolling through acres and acres of vineyards and olive orchards, and enjoying dinners of fresh, local vegetables and fish on the patio. Locals in the village are friendly and welcoming and the village is absolutely picturesque. The beach and wineries in Villafranca des Penedes The house itself is incredible--well-appointed and furnished, open and spacious, yet quiet even with two families inside. You will enjoy the shade of the wisteria on the patio in the heat of the day and the steady breeze that rolls through the house. Owners Helena and Quim could not be more welcoming and friendly. They met us on the first day, showed us their home, and helped us find our way around the local area. They embody the happy and warm spirit of the village. If you are looking for a place to truly relax, unwind, enjoy leisurely strolls in beautiful countryside, and sip an espresso or beer at the local cafe, you've found the place at Cal Helena.

We found this vacation home through an online search. We stayed 11 days at the Cal'Helena and we were not disappointed. Everything was as described in the advertisement. The home and back courtyard are beautiful. We had everything we needed at the Cal'Halena to make this a perfect vacation home for us. The village has a cute little pub/restaurant at the end of the lane. There is also a little shop in Castellet where we were able to purchase local wine, olive oil, olives, and balsalmic to take home with us. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cal' Helena. The home, village, and surrounding area are beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, and activities like hiking and cycling, this is definitely a good choice. It is also a good location to do many day trips from. We were able to do day trips to Monserrat, Barcelona, Girona, Sitges, and the commute was relatively easy. We would definitely consider this home again.

We stayed for a week in June 2011. We couldn't believe how nice the home was. The appliances, linens, furniture......Quim and Helena have put much time and love into this home. It is just lovely! The home is even better than the pictures reveal. One of our favorite parts was waiting for the baker to bring bread at 12:00 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There are many places to walk. There is even a little restaurant in the village. We went to the beach in VillaNova twice and went to nearby towns L'Arboc and VilaFranca, but we really just enjoyed being in the home and walking the surrounding land. I can't wait to come back in two years. It truly is a special place!

It is a lovely house, well designed, beautiful location, very nice garden and pool, very tranquil village. We used the barbecue quite a bit at night, and traveled each day to a different location. We went one day to Tarragona, another to el priorat, another to the beach, etc. Our daughters enjoyed their private bathroom and the pool. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We hope to come back in the future.
