nothing - do not understand why it has such a high rate - it should be clearly stated this is basic quality place…

it is located at the ground floor facing inner courtyard hence pretty dark, on top of it one of the blinders did not work. it is really an old apartment in an old building so unless one is a fan of or is looking for new experiences it should be avoided - I would describe it as a very basic standard - the kitchen stove had broken glass cooking panel, the equipment in general is old there.

The apartment is beautiful and clean. The host is very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is very well located, in a quiet area somewhere behind Buda Castle, close to all public transport, shops, restaurants, etc. Next to the apartment, there is a park with playgrounds, a football field, and a basketball field.

The apartment uses convectors as heating. We used to use this kind of heating when we were little, so I can easily recognize the smell of methane gas. Near the entrance to the apartment, there is sometimes a smell of gas, and sometimes in the living area of the apartment, you can also feel a subtle smell of gas. The living room carpet could have a refresh :)

The apartment was perfect for our family (We have a one year old baby, but we didn't use a cot.) I grew up in Budapest, so I knew, that the location of this apartment is perfect. (be aware of the good pastry shops in the neighbourhood.) The owners are really friendly and give their best that you feel yourself welcome. We liked, that we found everything, what we needed: dishwasher, washing machine, even a plastic box to bring home some cake. The room is on the base floor, but not looking onto the street, so nobody disturbs you, it is really quiet.

As all windows are looking to the courtyard, it is not the brightest apartment, but it's okay. The parking situation is not the best in that area, but if you don't need your car during your stay, let it in the area of Hidász utca for free and come back by the bus No. 5 (10 min).
