We loved Star Fish house - The location breathtaking and our host was delightful, responsive and so helpful. The only critique is that we did not know that parking was offsite and would cost us extra to park and that it would cost additional money to have someone pick us up so we could get to our car.

The views were gorgeous and this home felt like an authentic Italian home. The terrace was lovely and the rooms were spacious. Coffee and a welcoming food basket was provided upon our arrival. The host was very responsive to our needs. We loved the city of Amalfi and were able to use this as a staging point for ferries to Sorrento, Capri, and Pasitano. We visited Ravello by bus and loved it. we visited Minori by bus and didn't enjoy it. We came to find out later that we should have visited maiori. Bus travel was on time when we left Amalfi, but not on time on the return trips, but we were told this would be the case prior to travel.

The furniture is aging and the villa needs a bit more TLC. The distance to the City was longer than we expected at 1.5 km. We didn't have a vehicle so we walked downhill to the city each morning. We stayed late each night and didn't feel it was safe to walk home, so we took a taxi and were surpised that the cost was $40 euro one-way, each day. We were able to negotiate this to $30 eruo's each additional night, but we hadn't expected to spend $300 euros on these short taxi-rides.

I loved the view, and the outdoor Terrace. It is really beautiful!

I did not like the host. When we arrived, Peter told us that the dishwasher has broken and he has replaced it. He said someone will come fix it the next day which was fine. But he did not fix the dishwasher until the very last night ( we stayed for 4 nights). Also, the wifi did not work the whole trip which was super inconvenient. We asked for additional towels since there were not enough provided but never got it. The first day we were there, we found a lizard in the master bedroom on the wall. we asked peter and his wife to catch it, but they did not even make the effort. We ended up not using the master bedroom for the whole day and ended up having to kill the poor lizard so we could sleep at night. Also, the beds are not very comfortable. The mattresses seem old and are very springy. We kept open communication with the host the whole time, but they did not try to accommodate any of our requests. If you book here, you are on your own. It’s a shame because it’s such a beautiful villa with so much potential!

it is even more beautiful as the pictures show. the views were stunning. it is mostly quiet despite the road traffic during the day. Very private. I cannot say enough good things!

We spent a week at Star Fish House in mid April and were lucky to have good weather. It was lovely to sit outside in the two terasses enjoying the sun and having our breakfast and lunch with the spectacular views. The house is very beautiful and comfortable and the view is magnificent both day and night. The host Manuela welcomed us very warmly, helped us to get the car to a garage close by and also helped us to arrange our visits to the surroundings. I can warmly recommend Star Fish House if you want to stay in privacy in a beautiful and comfortable house near to the towns of Amalfi, Minori and Maiori. It is even possible to walk from the house to these towns, and if you don’t want to walk, Manuela organises a drive to you.

Peter was an amazing host for our stay and was beyond helpful. He had an incredible charcuterie platter & champagne set up by my request. Anything you need help with (reservations, taxis, ferries) he will handle for you. The property is beautiful, very clean & breathtaking view. We were very happy to have picked Starfish House & would stay there again!
