Perfect location on the beach. Nicely decorated. Peaceful and private. Gorgeous view of the gulf. The host was in touch with us to see if we needed anything. We'll definitely be back.

Tracked Captiva recovery this past year and we were quite pleased with condition of Captiva. Sanibel and Captiva commercial making strong comebacks….not all rentals. Our rental was perfect!!!!!! Like nothing ever happened. We rented from Ella once or twice a year 1996-2004 befor moving out of state…..more renovations and upgrades since we were here last. Especially like the second bedroom queen/ king, vs twins, even tho just the two of us this time, all rentals by us will likely be two couples. Great amenities. Beach chairs, umbrella, top of the line, best in class, beach cart…all wonderful. And best of all being able to see Ella after all these years, as well as her son Rene! Been too long. Super house, super owners and providers. We live at the beach, Kiawah Island, SC, and can be at our beach in 2 minutes, but something special about Captiva and this specific property.

House is clean, well kept and directly on the beach. The owner is responsive and friendly. The time there passed all too quickly. We look forward to returning.

The Chateau Blanc was great as usual! Its the best location on the beach. Mrs.Hall is wonderful and always checks in with us. I hope she is doing well!

Would have been nice to know renovations were going on next door. Needs exterminator - many ants & other crawlers.

Chateau Blanc was a home away from home. While the island is still in recovery from Hurricane Ian, this property was more than ready to provide my family with a week of fun and sun. Captiva is a beautiful island and we cannot wait to come back.

First let me start by saying what you get for the price is a steal and don’t hesitate waiting to book, because at this Price the good weeks will go quick. Perfect spot no crowds totally private. Amazing clean and Private Heated Pool. Home is equipped with everything you need. We rented a Golf Cart Salty Carts, made getting around the Island convenient and fun. Saw Dolphins, Manatess in the beach. I can’t wait to Return. Ella and her family are super nice and attentive. Super clean and cozy. The view is to die for.

My family had a fantastic week! We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary and are two grown children and a fiancé came for a long weekend. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well stocked and there was everything we needed for the beach under the house. It was maybe a 2 minute walk to the beach. Sunsets were still amazing from the house and screened porch. The pool was private and very inviting! Ella was great with responding. We definitely want to come back.

Great rental

Such an amazing place! The location of the house on the beach cannot be overstated. The ease of getting back and forth throughout the day allowed to eat nearly every meal on the beach and enjoy every ounce of sun from sunrises to sunsets! The shelling was incredible and the dolphins, manatees, and birds seemed to be everywhere all day and every day! The location of the house also allows for easy fishing access to Blind Pass where snook and mangrove snapper are plentiful! Such a much needed and perfect vacation spot! Could not recommend it more and a number of friends have already asked us for the listing info!

The pictures do not do it justice. The view is spectacular. House was clean and quite nice, view was breathtaking. We spent most of our time on the beautiful beach behind us. We already rented this house for next year. You will not be disappointed.

Chateau Blanc is truly amazing. The locations is perfect, just steps from the beach and about equal distance from Sanibel and Captiva. Unlike other rentals, it’s also full of character. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Meticulously maintained, it also has a lot of charm with beautiful artwork done by Ella’s son. The best part is having Ella right next store. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she made our entire experience so wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time at Ella’s perfect gulf front beach cottage. The cottage was very clean, had stunning art on the walls & was arranged perfectly for our needs. Waking up to a gulf view with a short walk down a a mangrove path to watch dolphins, manatees & a wide variety of birds was a dream come true. Ella was a fabulous host and we hope to return soon to this bit of paradise. Thank you Ella!

Old school Florida cottage with private beach access. Pool was a great alternative when the beach was busy. Delightful and responsive owner next door. Walkable to 3 restaurants. Could go on, but let it suffice to say we’ve already rebooked!

Chateau Blanc was awesome - beautiful beach, pool and house

We feel so fortunate to have booked this dog-friendly, gorgeous gulf/beachfront home. Peaceful and secluded yet walking distance to great restaurants like Sunset Grill, Mad Hatter, Lazy Flamingo. Lovely, private owner next door has installed the most original artwork we've ever enjoyed in a rental. Every single day we walked the beach in the morning, read by the pool or surfside and sat on the lanai in the evening watching the sun set in to the gulf, while a screech owl and pileated woodpeckers visited the trees framing the dolphins frolicking in the waves. I am not making this up! We often fly from Iowa for weekly rentals on Sanibel/Captiva. Ella's Chateau Blanc has ruined us for all other locations and we are grateful!

We had a nice stay at Chateaux Blanc. It was very clean and comfortable. The pool was great, thanks for turning on the heat. The beach was beautiful, great for morning jogs and shell collecting. The only thing my husband wished for was a good movie channel. Overall a wonderful vacation!

Our week was terrific. Great beach location and a chance to slow down and enjoy the warm sunny weather. It was so nice to have a pool onsite and the house was in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of options for dining nearby, although it does require having a vehicle to get around. We would come back.

Perfect location for a private and relaxing getaway. The beach was gorgeous and steps away from the house. My kids adored the pool, which has both a shallow and deep end. The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities you need. Ella is incredibly sweet and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
