If you are looking for a place to sleep when visiting relatives in the area, this is it. The layout is a little unusual but it has everything you would expect in a hotel room at a significant discount. Located in a quiet residential area with easy access to the freeway system.

I was just looking for a cheap place to stay in LA without having to pay a bunch of resort fees and taxes. When I looked on Hotwire things where going to be over 1100$ for 5 nights. This was the cheapest option I could find and the reviews where really good so I went with it. I’m glad I did. This place was in a nice central location to Hollywood and Santa Monica. Anywhere I wanted to go was about 20 minutes away. I loved the neighborhood. There are lots of food and shopping options around you. The place is a refurbished garage. It’s very simple and I will warn you the bathroom is not private. This might not be a great situation for everyone but traveling alone is no problem. Shirley was really nice. She checked on me once to make sure I was happy but I didn’t see her or anyone else except that time I was there: if your a solo traveller this os great. If your trying to take a new girlfriend to see a show in LA maybe not. Because of the bathroom situation you want to be real close with who you travel with. Otherwise I had a wonderful time in LA and I would happily get this cheap place again!

I visited LA by myself to see my favorite football team play and selected this place (in addition to its previous rating and affordability) because of it’s convenience to LAX as well as SoFi which worked out wonderfully. Although I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Shirley personally, she was very attentive to my one question/concern as she quickly responded/resolved it plus she followed up several times after via email/VRBO to make sure everything was okay. Would definitely stay again.

The owner of house was awesome!! She let me check in a few hours, chatted w/me awhile & said if I needed anything, to just text her on app. The neighbors was absolutely beautiful & neighbors were friendly. Just a short walk up the road to Starbucks & restaurants. I’m totally going to stay there again when I go next year.

We absolutely enjoyed staying here for an anniversary getaway. Shirley was kind and fabulous and the place was so clean and beautiful, exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy Cali. There were great restaurants and shops nearby, and the beautiful Cali beaches were just a few minutes drive away. Planning to return, highly recommend!

Wonderful experience for us as we haven’t done much online bookings. Very private and quiet location, we weren’t disappointed with the accommodation.Welcomed by host upon arrival and asked if we needed anything. Not far in an Uber to Metro stations and airport. Bus stops a few meters away, Start Bucks on the corner, a short walk from the house. To sum it up, clean and comfortable in a good quiet location. Thank you, Shirley

Bed was super comfortable, it was cozy and clean. Daughter and I shared the King size bed and had plenty of room. Culver City seems quieter so driving around to amenities was easy. Only 20 mins from LAX, Santa Monica, Venice Beach avoiding peak traffic times, Warner Bros, Griffith observatory, Beverly Hills and Hollywood was about 1/2 hr. Was very happy I decided to rent a car as getting around from here was easy. The only complaint which isn’t really a complaint , it would have been nice to have a lil spot outside to sit and have coffee in the morn or a cool bevvie after a long day, but you do know that isn’t available when booking so not hosts fault. 🙂 Would stay here again.

This property was a perfect budget option for us on our visit to LA. The house is only 3 minutes to the bus stop and we felt perfectly safe walking to and from, even late at night. If only the LA Metro system was as wonderful as Shirley’s rental.

Very nice and as described. There is a lovely garden out front. East check in and out experience, even with our flight delay coming in. You can access alot of places from here some by walking even and out a shorter car ride. Even going up to the Hollywood area and taking the highways or going to a beach didn't take long. It was nice to have as your home away from home while there. It was lovely.

Lovely in every way! Can’t wait to return.
As I arrived the first thing I noticed was the gorgeous landscaping in the front yard followed quickly by a gracious welcome from Shirley who noticed my very full hands and took care of opening up the door and handing me my keys.. She is so sweet!
Inside is exactly as pictured and everything you need for your stay. The jetted tub was sheer heaven after a long day of driving. The bed was super comfy. Picked up a few items from Trader Joe’s nearby to enjoy cereal and avocado toast for breakfast.
Location was perfect for quick drives to the beach and very easy airport access. If you have a rental car, you’ll have no trouble exploring the farthest reaches of the city. I attended concerts downtown, explored Topenga and Malibu, and Visited a friend in Van Nuys with no trouble.

We stayed at Shirley’s place for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and well appointed and the deep jacuzzi bath was perfect after long days touring SoCal. It was a perfect set up for us with ample street parking in a lovely quiet safe neighborhood.

Comfy and cozy accomodations
Our 6-day stay could not have been more perfect. Our sweet little apt had each and every detail covered --soaps, shampoo, hair dryer, coffee, extra blankets, a super comfy bed and fabulous water pressure in the shower. Shirley is the most charming and hospitable host, we look forward to the next time!!

Shirley was an exceptional host. Very flexible as my plans changed. She was very responsive. The space was just right for my needs. It was obvious that she put a lot of care into setting it up. In all I enjoyed my time there, it was quiet, clean, safe and close to many activities.
