Nice location. Very short drive to area attractions. Make sure to visit the Ice Cream Shop!
We are fairly discriminating but to us the kitchen although beautiful, wasn’t as clean as we like. All and all it was a very nice stay with nice space. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus for us.

6 adults + 5 boys 2-10 enjoyed Memorial Day Weekend at Deep Creek. Plenty of beds, baths, seating and a well outfitted kitchen. Baby gates to upper and lower levels a plus for families with 'littles' especially with spiral staircase to second floor. No lake view but easy access to all the area has to offer. Thanks for sharing your home away from home.

This mostly remodeled home is close to Deep Creek Lake and marina rentals. We enjoyed the open layout, fire ring, grill and patio dining. It had many of the items we needed for our 9 month old grandson and the kitchen provided what was needed to prepare all our meals. On the downside, the beds were harder than any of us preferred and the yard had only a small flat area for outside games.

We came together for a family reunion at this property. Perfect location for family coming from Raleigh, Columbus, and NYC. We were so enchanted with the town. The house is minutes from the lake, and 5-15 minutes from everything you need. We had s’mores in the yard around a giant fire pit with plenty of Adirondack chairs. Many game nights on the deck or in the great room. Hosts were great and very responsive. When you review the listing, make sure your party is comfortable with the winding staircase - my family was, but my older relatives preferred the main and lower levels. Game table in the basement was a hit with the kids and young adults. 100% would recommend!

We stay here for a long weekend of skiing and everything was great. Good location and clean, spacious house. Good time had by all.

House is located on an uphill access road. We came after Xmas, a day after a snow event. The uphill access road and the house driveway were covered with snow and ice and very slippery. After several attempts to climb with my Toyota Highlander, I gave up and had to park a few miles away in a shopping center. Luckily, my daughter came with a 4x4 and had to take us to the house. The main entrance to the house was covered with several inches of snow during our entire stay, and we could only enter through the basement door, which was also covered by snow/ice.
The house itself was so so. It is quite old and has a tiny kitchen.
Overall, it was not a place to remember. I just hope that the owner will pay more attention to shovel and salt the driveway. In winter, guests should be told (not only in the fine print) that they need a 4X4 to access the house.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was just right for 9 women on a reunion trip. Four full bathrooms and lots of beds. Place was very clean and we appreciated that.
The great room had comfortable furniture and lots of room. It was so nice to have a large dining table that easily accommodated all of us. The outside gas grill worked great and the white lights around it was a nice touch. Our weather was cool so we had a nice fire in the fire pit.
We hiked at Swallow Falls and Deep Creek State Parks. The only thing missing was a hot tub to soak in after our long hikes!
All in all a great trip. Highly recommend the house and the hosts.

We had such a great time! The place was perfect for all ages which we had 2-10. Quite and away from traffic. Great area for kids to play outside and perfect for relaxing by the fire pit. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. It was so nice that there was altar baby gates at steps and pack and play there. We have no complaints!

I knew we were going to have a great week when we were greeted by deer as we unloaded the cars.
We enjoyed the family-sized table for meals and activities. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our family of 11. We enjoyed sitting around the fire ring for mountain pies, foil dinners and s'mores. We had periodic rain during our stay, but not enough to ruin our plans for hiking and kayaking.

Peaceful Retreat
Very clean, had lots of amenities, and lots of space! Nice location and just a great place to relax. The place is absolutely great and we enjoyed doing nothing (seriously nothing :) When you are on the go 300+ days of the year, you look forward to a week of doing nothing and this home provides a nice quiet place to just enjoy the peace and quiet. We saw deer on our first night there. Plenty of stuff to do around town though. One of our favorite places to go for coffee is Traders which is right around the corner and don’t forget to get pizza from Brenda’s. Firefly farms, about a 15 min drive towards Accident, Md is a nice cheese shop that we always enjoy visiting. Thanks again for sharing your home. We loved our stay!

Great Stay!
Property was clean and kid-friendly! Kitchen was stocked with appliances. TV Roku was great for hanging out inside. Fire pit and grass area was great for the kids and adults to spend time outside.

Reunion weekend getaway
This house was perfect for what both families with younger kids needed this weekend while spending time in the area for a reunion. It had everything! Well stocked kitchen, great bathrooms with tons of towels, comfy beds with plenty of blankets and pillows, games and fun stuff for the kids, large spaces for us to spread out and enjoy time together. There honestly wasn’t a thing we needed that I couldn’t find or have answered for us right away by the home owner. It was like a home away from home. I hope to come again one day when we have more time to explore the lake or ski slopes!

Comfy Lodge, Great for a Big Group & Child-Friendly
The lodge was very comfy & had a "warm" feeling to it. It was very clean & exactly as described in the listing. The bunk beds, foosball table, & air hockey in the lower level made it the perfect place for the kids to hang out & play. It was also nice to have such a big table on the main level so that our large group could enjoy our meals together. Being so close to the resort was also a plus. Communication with the owners was great & the check-in process was very easy. They were very personable & provided lots of extra information regarding the area to give us more options & things to do during our stay. Highly recommended!

Perfect stay for a getaway
Had a great stay with some friends over the weekend. The owners were very responsive with our questions and instructions. The place slept everyone comfortably and even so many additional spots without it feeling over crowded. Very close drive to everything which was great! Recommend staying here :)

FABULOUS house for families
This house was laid out really well for multiple families. There's lots of space for everyone to spread out and a nice big table for group dinners. We loved the proximity to Wisp for skiing and the kids had a great time playing in the snow at the end of the day. The owners were VERY responsive when we reached out about getting the driveway plowed and had it done right away for us. We would 100% book this house again.

Beautiful home, lovely stay
This is a beautiful house and we loved our stay. The house is updated and open, with high ceilings and big windows, and the living room and overall space even larger than it appeared to us in the photos. The furniture is lovely and the decor warm and uncluttered. The internet tv and DVD players in every bedroom is a nice feature, and the kids loved the air hockey and foosball table, and having a large playroom and room with bunkbeds downstairs. Everything was very clean and worked. When we first arrived we found a need for two small repairs and the host had someone come over and take care of them right away. She also walked us through some technology confusion with one of the TVs, and overall made us feel very comfortable asking any questions that we had, before and during our stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay with family!
We had a great stay with our family recently - the only issue is when we arrived the house had not been cleaned at all from the last guests. This is the second time this has happened to us with VRBO (at two different locations). I'm happy to say that these property owners handled it fantastically, unlike our last experience. We would definitely return, and it is GREAT for kids!

Great Family Rental
We really enjoyed our stay and the property manager was very responsive. We utilized Deep Creek State Park, about a 10 minute drive, for access to a beach and boat dock. The lake front within walking is privately owned with the exception of a small area with a rocky entry (which we still enjoyed skipping rocks from). The lawn is a great area for the kids to play and they loved the home set up with downstairs game room and bunk room. It accommodates large groups well. I would throw in some extra dish towels and follow the instructions to bring your own hand soap and paper products/toilet paper.

Great trip! A few quirks with the house
The owners were lovely and responsive. The house has a great open kitchen and living room area and a game room downstairs that the kids loved. The house is about 15 minutes from the state park beach and about 20 minutes from the waterfall hikes, so wasn't super ideal with young kids. The bedroom setup is such that the master bedroom is on the main floor with the kitchen/living room, there are two small bedrooms upstairs (one with a queen bed and one with bunk beds), and two bedrooms downstairs next to the game room (one with a queen bed and one with two sets of bunk beds). There is a spiral staircase from the first floor up to the second floor that is cool but freaked us out the whole time because of the kiddos. They did have baby gates we could use, but not one that fit the queen bedroom door upstairs where we had our 4 year old sleep, so we ended up barricading the top of the stairs, but it still stressed me out. Only complaints are that the heat was on downstairs when we arrived and it was about 80 degrees (the owners responded to my message about it immediately and we figured out how to turn it off), the blinds/windows were incredibly dusty/dirty, and the grill was so filthy that we didn't feel comfortable using it. Otherwise, we had a great stay. We'll probably use the Taylor-Made agency next time we go. They have properties right on the lake with private docks for swimming--but they are more expensive.

Perfect house for multiple families
Great place with lots of ammenities!!! Great sized dining/living room area. Kids area in the basement was fabulous!!! We loved the deck and the firepit. Close drives to State Parks and restaurants.

Things broken
We were not told the stove was broken until the day if check in. The toaster oven seal was broken. They did replace the oven while we were staying there. The wii kept over heating as we had rainy weather and were stuck inside. The grill was absolutely disgusting.

Very comfortable house, loved it, remote but close to everything
The house worked out great for our family of 10. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The game room was a great bonus room to hang out in. We loved sitting out on the deck, playing games and eating. It would be nice to have an umbrella for the table to give shade during the day. There were some maintenance issues that should have been fixed before our arrival, ie the shelf on the fridge was broken and unusuable space (with all the groceries for 10 people it was an inconvenience, my husband rigged up a temporary shelf to help make more space). The bottom rack of the dishwasher was missing the front wheels and was very annoying each time we pulled it out (which was often). Otherwise, we had a great time, very relaxing. It was so enjoyable to sit out by the campfire and we loved seeing all of the deer and other wildlife. The area is lovely and the house is remote, but yet close to so many things. Thank you Cheryl and Kaan for allowing us to rent your house. We left with many great memories.
