Traveling with aged mother with mobility and vision issues. - Lovely spacious feeling to rooms, due to ceilings height, even though quite compact. - Loved the lift - you need to advertise that as fully accessible rooms. - Bathrooms flow well and wide, lovely shower - Excellent bed, triple sheeting good - Lots of power points in easily accessible positions. - occasional chairs comfortable - Quiet bar fridge - Quiet & efficient Air Con once got temp settings worked out - Large TV both rooms with streaming which nice - Loved, Loved, loved the restaurant with lake views as we enjoyed the swans and gentle water breeze - seafood was excellent, service and drinks brilliant. Was access for disabled. - Would have like breakfast service on site as easier with my mother.

Needed more pillows, blankets or quilts. no towel rail in bathroom, no clothes hanging rail. No herb or green tea. Musty smell as air con temp set too low on 71F which is 16C & causing too much condensation- need to air room set a.c temp to 21C.

Cheap to stay and nice spot outside to look at the lake.

Checked in after 2pm and the floors were still soaking wet from being mopped. The room pictures also made it seem like we had a balcony overlooking the water. this is definitely not the case but you can walk down and sit by the lake.

Updated interiors and work in progress exteriors, almost near completion. Water pressure from the shower was really strong, which was very nice. The views and private jetty at the rear of the motel. Location was close to amenities and shops.

Saw a small cockroach in the room every day, around the microwave or close to it.

Convenient to get into Newcastle. Helpful staff at reception.

Bed comfy. Ensuite clean and pretty good. Kettle, microwave and good iron. Lots of pillows. Internet was good. Parking free in the car park.

Closest room to the road, so a bit of noise. TV was closer to the single bed rather than the main one. No rug that I could see. Curtains didn't quite block out the sun and weren't the easiest to close against outside vision.

I love the cleanness of room n the way the room was represented the staff are lovely an make you feel at home with a smile I come bk in a heart beat for their service 10/10 it is my choice n I have refer a few people to go stay there

reception told me that the restaurant was open until 10.00pm. The restaurant closed at 8.00pm and the only thing open until 10.00pm was the bar. I couldn’t see any references to the restaurant on their website. apparently they have 2 different owners.

You can’t leave your windows open as cigarette smoke seeps in!! Would be appreciated if they moved the smoking area away from rooms.

Broken blinds with gap and would not work, small fridge in a cupboard, no bin in bathroom, no tissues, food would n I t a hur properly, noisy due to construction.

Didn't like the back steps to the room, seemed steep, room was a quite small for 2 people with no where for both to sit except on the bed. Not enough pillows for 2 people. Since the restaurant opened very busy and noisy, it lost the peaceful serenity atmosphere.

I stayed in one of the brand new rooms, very clean, well set out and surprisingly quiet considering it was on a main road. There was a lift available to the second floor. Parking was free and plenty of easily accessible parks. There was a nice lawn area to catch up on but the best bit was the amazing view from the back area. Seating is available at the back of the motel overlooking Lake Macquarie, stunning! There is a restaurant and bar on site so I could have a glass of wine while I absorbed the view and the food was pretty good too. The staff were exceptional and I was treated as if I had entered a high class city Hotel. Fantastic value for money.

The room was new so the two things I say here I am sure will be fixed. There was nowhere to hang my towel in the bathroom and no soap holder in the shower. Small and didnt bother me

Becareful when booking through booking . Com when selecting which room u want I wanted the water views room and when l arrived was a cell block with a view of traffic, Staff were awesome and tried their best to change rooms but all booked out so had to view car traffic 1st night but they got a room for us on the water views 2nd night so was happy about that. But beware call ahead to confirm ur room.
