The owner(s) take great pride in this place. It was clean and quiet and had all the basic amenities you'd need for a short stay. Meals were tasty too.

The wifi in the rooms wasn't strong enough for me to conduct voice or video calls but it was good enough to do so in the main restaurant area.

Comfortable rooms, nice backyard where one could also do a barbecue. Friendly and trustful owners (we could take drinks from the restaurant fridge in the evening and just write down what we took). Good breakfast and safe parking

Lovely place to stay in Omaruru. Rooms are clean, spacious and cozy. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast too and lovely hosts. Enjoyed our visit thoroughly. Would stay again on our next visit

Evening Shade is a wonderful place. Just as it was before. Do not expect luxury, but just what you need on a trip to this relaxed city. It is all there. Bring your own food and drinks and it is allright. Forgot about anything, then go to the next shop, supermarket, filling station or even the shebeen ;-). Get back to Evening Shade and you will feel at home. I did.

Lawn and plants need some attention. Do not drive on the lawn, even if you will be allowed to do so. Please take the hose pipe to water the grenadillas, vine and the little hummock, after you have settled, and you will feel as good as I did. The existing lounge chairs are made for giants and are completely inadequate for sitting relaxed, not to speak about eating. Take these as purely decorative, should you not measure 7 feet or more. Bring your own camping table and stools, should you want to eat outdoors or move the ones provided to your own verandah. But then, this is the most beautiful place to do so. Please keep in mind that those are just very minor issues or even no-brainers for those of us who are ready to just take part in what we are enjoying. Evening Shade will then be just the right place for you. Guaranteed!

The host was very attentive and friendly. I loved the room, kitchenette and bathroom with all its copper piping and rustic barn conversion feel. The setting was quiet and tranquil.
