Entri in The Manor House e ti pare di entrare in un altro mondo, fatto di piccoli lussi, attenzioni, delicatezza e storia. La casa è davvero bella e antica, pur essendo al tempo stesso confortevole. Splendido il portone, in una delle vie centrali della piccola cittadina, splendido l’ingresso e tutte le scale che corrono lungo i vari piani. La nostra camera era proprio all’ultimo piano, ma non è stato un gran problema (anche perché la gentilissima e ospitale Terri ci ha aiutato). Bene, la camera era davvero splendida: letto comodo e sontuoso, dotazione eccellente di asciugamani e bagnoschiuma, persino una macchina del caffè in bagno (e addirittura un bollitore per l’acqua). Insomma, c’era davvero tutto, compresa una perfetta insonorizzazione che senza dubbio è stata necessaria, considerando che la vita notturna di Laguardia passa proprio da quella strada. C’è anche una graziosa terrazza, che purtroppo abbiamo sfruttato poco (non era caldissimo e sia io, sia mio marito eravamo molto raffreddati, ahimè), ma dalla finestra si godeva un bel panorama. Al secondo piano c’è anche un ampio soggiorno a uso comune, dove si trovano televisore, caffè, infusi, piccoli biscotti e tante letture interessanti per scoprire meglio la cittadina e i dintorni. Il valore aggiunto di tutto questo è, però, proprio Terri, la proprietaria, che ci ha accolto con grande gentilezza e ci ha facilitato in tutto. Grazie di cuore! Avremmo voluto davvero poter stare di più. Ma spero proprio di tornare a Laguardia e di poter ancora una volta soggiornare in questa camera deliziosa.

Niente, ci è piaciuto tutto. Ma aggiungerei un particolare importante che non ha nulla a che vedere con la struttura, ma con il parcheggio a Laguardia, soprattutto per chi, come noi, non c'è mai stato e non la conosce. La cittadina, molto caratteristica, è impercorribile dalle auto, a meno che tu non sia un residente e spesso neppure in quel caso. I parcheggi sono quindi tutto esterni alla città e non sono poi così tanti, soprattutto in alta stagione. Terri è stata molto gentile a darci tutte le indicazioni del caso, ma occorre anche avere un po' di fortuna. Alla fine di settembre non abbiamo fatto molta fatica a trovare posto, ma mi chiedo come possa essere a luglio e ad agosto...

What an absolute gem of a place, the owners Robert and Terri have done an amazing job and were so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Everything about the Manor House is completely in keeping with the beauty and history of Laguardia. The room was perfect for our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Can't wait to return for another visit to the area.

Zero complaints whatsoever, simply perfect and 10/10.

Great location just off the main square of the medieval village. Room was nicely decorated, spotless and very comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Not having more time there!

Hotel Mayor 35 is a gem. My partner and I stayed for just two nights, but they were the highlight of our week’s travels. Virginia had so many great recommendations for where to eat and what to see in Laguardia and was gracious enough to give us a tour and history of the wine cave under her house. The room was spacious, quiet and super clean. Very comfortable bed. When we go back to Laguardia we will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful boutique hotel right off the Plaza Mayor in LaGuardia. Beautiful town. The only difficulty was that no cars are permitted inside the walls of the city. So parking is difficult and can be quite a distance from the hotel. Carrying large or heavy suitcases is impossible. We had to repack from suitcases to backpacks in the parking lot in order to get necessary items to the hotel. Nowhere is this mentioned. Otherwise, the hotel is a lovely oasis in a city where you step back in time.

fantastic location, the staff were very accommodating on local sights and tips. Car parking although outside the village shouldn’t put you off, as there is a lift on the eastern side from parking and the village is very small.
