Acropolis Villa by JJ Hospitality

Words cannot describe this house or location. We couldn’t believe when we entered the courtyard…. So private and beautifu. Loustino was great with communication and the check in process was easy! He also arranged for us to have a private chef, Karolos, one evening and it was the highlight of our trip. The food was delicious!
The location cannot be beat. Literally steps away from the acropolis and in the heart of Plaka. Great restaurants right outside the house.
Can’t wait to return and when we do we will only stay at this incredible location!

We were super impressed with this property. Incredible location with shopping and restaurants near by. The property had good air conditioning in the bed rooms (living rooms could get hot upstairs). Property managers were easy to work with and the pictures do not do it justice, very quaint.

Things we loved:
-great communication with Nikolas. He helped us arrange airport transfer and made check in and check out easy
-courtyard is unique and special. Have dinner outside and/or folks over for drinks!
-location is minutes walking distance from taverna and shopping
-a/c worked great in the Athens July heat.
Be aware:
- if travelling with folks who are elderly or who have a physical impairment, 3 out of the 4 bedrooms may not be accessible due to steep narrow stairs, a loft bed, narrow hallway or a combination of the above.

Can't find a better location in Athens. The house was in the middle of everything - sightseeing, great restaurants and the center of town. Old, classic Greek house. Full of charm. The house is just quirky enough to grab your full attention. And the garden - awesome! One small caution - the house has some internal step ups and step downs. Nothing too drastic. But people with mobility issues should review more closely. But and awesome stay!

My family had a wonderful stay. The property was exactly as shown. It was within short walking distance to all historic sites in downtown Athens, and the hosts were attentive to our needs. I would love to stay again if I ever return to Athens.

This is a gem! It’s a historic villa literally under the Acropolis and in the middle of the Plaka district but not noisy. It’s a real home filled with wonderful atmosphere and with patios and a rooftop looking up at the Parthenon. Unique Athenian experience!

This home is incredible. It is a small Grecian villa in the middle of town. Views of the Acropolis, right in the middle of the historical Anafiotika, walking to amazing shopping and restaurants. And, yes, the Acropolis is right across the street with views from the courtyard.
Inside, four bedrooms, spacious kitchen, charming second story living room. House is full of memories and amazing artwork. This family cares about their home and are generous to share it with others.

Perfect Location in the Place
We loved this charming house centrally located in the Plaza. Within walking distance of the Acropolis, shopping, and restaurants. The home has all the amenities, the outdoor areas and terraces were perfect for morning coffee and relaxing in the evenings. We liked the historic importance of the home and old world charm. The hosts are terrific and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

What a special place! The house and garden are beautiful. They are rich with history (unmatched! during our entire stay in several homes in Greece) yet have all the modern conveniences and comforts needed for a wonderful stay. The kind and prompt communication with the owners and the amazing tour of the home upon our arrival helped us feel very much at home. Everyone had privacy with comfortable beds, lovely linens and clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water and nice toiletries. Most importantly, we also had many spaces to gather together. The garden which felt like a "secret garden" as it is quite large with orange, lemon and olive trees, lots of seating and a large rock that reportedly fell from the Acropolis but is hidden from the people visiting the area. The rooftop space gave us exclusive views of the Acropolis which were breathtaking especially at night. We also enjoyed an evening of fireworks in celebration of Greek Easter from the rooftop which was a great surprise. The living room area allowed another lovely space to gather in the evenings with it's well-appointed furnishings and decor yet a warmth that invited us to relax and enjoy being together. We didn't use the television room but it looked like a cozy room to watch a movie. The kitchen is well stocked with incidentals like olive oil, spices and coffee that were thoughtful and convenient. The location of the house is perfect. We were able to walk to the sites we wanted to see and had plenty of restaurants/cafes to chose from in the Plaka neighborhood. We didn't schedule a transfer from the airport to the house and took a taxi--fortunately, the owner of the house called us upon our arrival and spoke to the taxi driver in Greek allowing us to get to the right location promptly. We scheduled a transfer through the hospitality group that assists the owners for the return trip to the airport and it was seemless and timely.
This house was a very special beginning to our Greek adventure. It was a great privilege to be in the presence of such history and at the same time feel so comfortable that we truly felt at home.
Thank you Ioustinos, Nikolas and your family for your hospitality, kindness and sharing your captivating home with us.

History and prime location
I honestly cannot imagine a better house for Athens. It’s just a hundred feet or so from the fence of the Acropolis. The rooftop deck has the best view of the Acropolis imaginable at night. The house, itself, highlights its history with (seriously) glass floors in a hallway showing excavated ruins underneath. It’s just steps from the Plaka, the town’s main (pedestrian) tourist area. Wonderful restaurants, shopping. The house was perfectly set up for our arrival with local bread and wine, even. I would absolutely recommend to anyone coming to Athens!

Unique , cozy, and perfect location.
Thank you for an amazing couple days in Athens. The only thing we did wrong when booking this property is not staying longer. Every inch of the place is pouring with history, every room has tons of special nooks and crannies dating as far back as the 9th century. Some where quaint to sit and rest inside or out.
Would definitly stay again if we make it back to Athens.

You can’t beat the location
With a view of acropolis and steps away from the bustling Plaka, Nikolas’ house is surprisingly private and quiet. It’s as described and the photos are true. However, it failed to capture the magic of this place. Serene courtyard, ancient wall, century old cellar were there for one to experience. Nikolas was an amazing host. He stayed until midnight to check us in (flight delay) and answered our questions days and nights. Delicious smelling bread and fruit awaited us upon arrival. This is truly a home away from home.

Athens Perfection. The coolest house ever
I can't imagine a better place to stay in Athens. This is one of the best VRBOs we've ever stayed in. I would've loved to hear or read more of the history of the house. It seemed like it has a interesting story of its own!
The house is fantastic (hidden stairs! ruins from the Acropolis! lots of outdoor space! super comfortable beds!). The location is ideal (LOVED the area and it was close to everything we wanted to see). And the owners/property managers were wonderful (we were greeted with fresh fruit and warm bread and a tour of the house). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Athens. From booking to check out, this exceeded our expectations.

Perfect location!
I don't even know where to begin. The villa was beautiful and packed with history and charm. We were greeted by Maria who gave us a tour of the property, answered all of our questions and made sure we had contact information in case we had more questions. She also left us a bottle of Greek wine, a loaf of homemade bread and a bowl of fruit which contained the best apricots I think I've ever eaten.
As for location, the heart of Plaka with fabulous restaurants and shopping right out our door, and yet we had all the privacy we wanted within the confines of our walls.
My husband and I were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and this property and our hosts certainly made for a "golden" experience. My two daughters and my grandson joined us here and every one of us felt that Athens was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Athens. As for us, I hope to return here.

Athens Villa
We greatly enjoyed staying at the Acropolis Villa. It is a beautifully maintained and renovated villa, and is incredibly interesting with all of its various levels, rooms, gardens, highlighted subfloor ancient ruins, etc. The owners were great hosts and very available for any questions. Highly recommended and is a calm oasis in the hustle and bustle of the Plaka area.

An elegantly furnished, spacious home in a perfect location at the foot of the Parthenon.
Charming home, elegantly furnished, spacious rooms, nice amenities and supplies, washer/dryer, etc. rarely found in rental homes. We had breakfast in the beautiful courtyard every morning. Perfect location, literally 1 block from the Parthenon and 2 block from the Plaka restaurants/shops, yet very quiet neighborhood. Gracious owner/manager was always available to help us or answer our questions. This is nicer than any hotel in the city, especially if you have a group of 4-6 people. A tasteful Oasis to escape the hot Athens sun and relax in style and comfort. I would stay here again.

Better than I could ever imagine!
Wow! This place is really a once in a lifetime stay. It is great for two reasons.
1. The property. The pictures do not do it justice. They house is enormous! We stayed comfortably with 8 people, although that is probably close to the maximum. But the garden / patio outside is heavenly. It is so nice it will literally make you want to lounge there all day instead of going and exploring Athens. We hours there each afternoon and again in the evening drinking wine, reading, smoking cigars, talking, etc. It's great.
2. The Location. You are literally in the Acropolis hill. You look up and the Acropolis is right there. But the kicker is the beauties of Plaka are a 3 minute walk down the road, and the other parts of town are just as close. But at no point do you feel you are in a touristy part of town.
The host Loustinos explained to us it used to be two properties but then went through a ten year renovation so it is new and improved but still has its rustic charm. The whole weekend we were there I was in touch with Loustinos via What's App for dinner recommendations (and boy did he deliver, ask for seafood), housekeeping questions, transportation to the airport, anything. Additionally, they leave you with freshly baked bread and freshly picked cherries upon arrival!
If you see this property available, book it without question! If I am back again with the same group I would not hesitate to book again.

Absolutely perfect
The property itself is amazing. The building has elements that go back to the 9th century. With repairs and renovations the house may be one of the 40 oldest in Athens. It has great, cool, comfortable outdoor patios. You might find yourself tempted to spend your entire vacation sipping white wine on the jasmine-scented patio.
Then you remember, “Oh wait, I am directly under the Acropolis, a short walk from all of the major archeological sites and the Plaka. You have a few hundred restaurants to sample and lots of bars to sip in. The location is as perfect as the villa
For our family of six this was the perfect place and the charm and hospitality of Nicholas and Maria made it the total package. We’ll be back!!

Beautiful home with an equally beautiful view in a stunning location. Could not have found better.
Our stay at the Acropolis Villa was amazing and we highly recommend to other travelers. The proximity to shops, restaurants, museums and historical sights was perfect. The home was thoughtfully stocked and there were many unique surprises within the property. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property at the most perfect location
What a fantastic New Year's Eve!!! Me and my family rented the Acropolis Villa and had a blast right under the Acropolis. The place is an archeaological space on its own, lovingly decorated. It was a long time since i visited central athens with my family and great place for a family reunion... Greatly recommend and would love to come back when next in athens!!
