Exactly what we needed, owner was terrific

The place was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and then some. The deck was beautiful in the morning to enjoy some coffee before we went out for the day. The location is close to Red Rocks which was nice because we went to a concert there and it was easy getting home so late at night! We also did 2 day trips to Idaho Springs and Boulder. Both were great and we definitely recommend! The first night we went to a Mexican restaurant in Evergreen called Kalaka Evergreen which was very yummy! We explored a few coffee shops in the area and went to Little Bear for live music on Thursday. Kitty gave many great suggestions along with her past guests who wrote in her books. If you need anything during your stay, Kitty is more than welcome to help. I definitely recommend this rental! We hope to be back.

Convenient to Evergreen and Conifer. Can't beat the views. Very clean, private access and good internet(yeah!). It is small, so not the best for cooking in and our wish would be a new grill. Terrific host and extremely quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.

We booked Kitty's place in Evergreen to attend a concert at Red Rocks in nearby Morrison. Morrison was a quick and easy drive from her place but we ended up spending quite a bit of time in downtown Evergreen. Our stay was amazing; Kitty's property is gorgeous and provided a perfect mix of seclusion without being too far off the beaten path. Kitty was extremely friendly and offered great suggestions for restaurants and scenic drives in the area. We had a fantastic meal at The Bistro immediately down the hill from her home. Her place had all the amenities one would expect and then some. The steam bath is a must try! I have suffered with insomnia for the past few years but I was able to sleep through the night all during my stay! We spent a day in Golden on the way back to the airport for our late day flight home and that was enjoyable as well. We wholeheartedly recommend a stay here and we'll definitely be back!

Simply amazing, hostess and property!!
We could not have felt more welcome from the moment we arrived. Flying in during the first snow of the year, we landed to find a message from Kitty advising best route to take to arrive safely which was greatly appreciated. Our studio was warm and cozy, the perfect size for the two of us and had everything we needed. Had we needed anything all we would have had to do is ask. Kitty had available any outdoor items we might need available for use along with fantastic ideas for points of interest around the area. One of the best of those is the personal oasis she has created right on her property, The Himmelhaus Forest! Simply breathtaking views! After a day of exploring you must take advantage of the incredible steam shower to relax those tired muscles and rehydrate.....awwww. Then enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and stars from the deck.
Kitty we cannot thank you enough for your wonderful, heartwarming hospitality. We so enjoyed our stay, our conversations and the wonderful snow day cookies. All the best to you and can't wait to visit again!

Relaxing Mountain Getaway
Such a good wonderful stay in Evergreen. Kitty was right next door to help but never intrusive. Having both a back patio and front deck is as helpful for different times of day. It was just an overall amazing time.

Already Looking Forward to Next Visit
The studio was perfect for my wife and me. The steam shower was a nightly ritual we used to before melting into bed and sleeping as soundly as ever after days of hiking the nearby trails. Kitty was incredibly friendly and so helpful in helping us get around the area. I highly recommend staying at her studio apartment!

We had an awesome time during our visit to Evergreen Meadows and Kitty was a great host. She has a wonderful home with spectacular views and provided us with lots of information on things to do and places to eat. I was unfortunately unable to ever meet Kitty, but she was still able to be a fantastic host. I told her a little about what we had planned (concert and hiking etc etc) and she had left us stadium seats, water bottles, snacks, just about anything you could want to enjoy the beautiful setting, she has. Fantastic stay!

Peaceful and Serene
We loved our stay! Kitty was so welcoming, leaving chocolates and breakfast foods when we arrived. It was the perfect space for the two of us getting away for a weekend for a concert and hiking. We will absolutely be back.
We loved spying the deer all around the property, even getting visits from two fawns a couple of times. The views and outdoor space cannot be beat.

Beautiful property with breathtaking views. The amenities were cozy and comfortable. The owner was so inviting and accommodating. She is a really a lovely person who takes great pride in her property and in her guests experience. If you are looking for a feeling of home away from home, this is the place! Perfectly nestled into the side of the mountain but not too difficult to get to. Close to lot of fun things to do but far enough away to feel like you're out of the race. I would definitely recommend and will probably be back.

Wish I could’ve stayed longer.. place was homey and quaint. Kitty was great, made me feel welcome and at ease as soon as I got there. Relaxed so well, I read an entire book without realizing. Favorite part was sitting out staring at the stars at night. They looked so close and big... but can’t forget that sauna shower!! That was amazing too. Hope to come back and take a more active trip next time. Purely wanted to decompress with this one and I definitely succeeded.

I had a great stay at this property. Kitty was a great host. The property is a warm, inviting 1 bedroom/ eating area. Perfect for a couple. There is a kitchen area and bathroom with a steam shower. Host provided everything you would need for a comfortable stay. There is a deck with a beautiful view of the mountains. Host is full of information about the local area. A great resource for those whose like to do things "off the beaten track". A++

The hospitality Kitty provided was second to none. She was available for any questions and suggestions, yet provided us complete privacy. Kitty's home is immaculate and the location and views are breathtaking. We stayed in the accommodations above our garage, which was perfect and we had everything we desired and more. Love the steam/shower compo, the kitchen area and the front private deck and back patio, also very private. We loved relaxing and watching the wildlife. The area around Kitty's home was perfect for us. We did all we hoped in and around Evergreen, including a trip to RMNP, up the west side, across Trail Ridge Road and back home on the east side, stopping for numerous short lake hikes and waterfall hikes. We also drove to the summit of Mount Evens (which can be seen from Kitty's home), which was amazing. We enjoyed some R&R in Evergreen, including walking around Evergreen lake, we loved the Little Bear Saloon, Cactus Jack's and the mountain pies at Beau Jo's pizza. The highlight, in addition to all the above, was a concert we attended at Red Rocks. It cannot get any better from a venue standpoint. The best. We will visit again, and look forward to a glass of wine with Kitty. Kitty - thank you so much for everything. You are wonderful! Brad and Val.

We stayed 6 glorious nights in Kitty's fantastic studio apartment. We flew in the day before the big snow storm hit. Luckily, we upgraded to a 4x4 rental. We strongly recommend a 4x4 if staying with Kitty during snow season (even dry season if you plan to drive up into the mountains).
The room was cozy, clean and the views were breathtaking. You are planted right in the center of Mother Nature's perfect creation! We did enjoy the steam shower (heck, my husband was just happy to finally stay somewhere where the shower head was high enough on the wall so he did not have to crouch down!). And the amenities provided (fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, toaster oven etc) were perfect for the two of us to feel like we were at home. The bed is a murphy bed, but is OH SO COMFY (not your typical "bar in the back" bed! We feel like we hit the jack pot with this place. : )
Kitty is a wonderful host and ensures you truly enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back (preferably during a non-snow period next time!!!) to enjoy the other sites of Colorado that we missed this time around.

We had a fantastic stay at the Himmelhaus in Evergreen. Kitty was there to greet us and show us around, and we felt right at home that very minute. Everything that you could ask for was provided, including a parking spot in her garage. The view from the deck was breathtaking. We were only a 5 minute drive from Evergreen and all it has to offer. If you're a hiker, this is a great place to be with so many trails easily within 10-30 minutes. The property has everything you'll need, (including wandering deer), and was the best deal on VRBO we've every had! We hope to return some day!

My husband and I were visiting Colorado for the first time.This location was everything we hoped for. The home stays warm, quite, and clean. Ms. Gallas was an exceptional host. She provides all the necessities that a hotel would and even more. She's very pleasant and helps in any way she can. You have a nice view of the mountains from the window, and you can peak at Mt. Evans from the balcony. Mt. Evans is beautiful and only at a short drive from the home. In fact, we found everything to be very close to home. We would definitely choose the place again.
