Sweet Escapes is an amazing! The house was clean, spacious and accommodations were perfect for 5 couples. We sat around the fire pit, rented a pontoon, some went into Galena to shop, we played bags (we brought), played games, enjoyed the hot tub, and just enjoyed being together. Everyone wants to come back next year!

The actual house and surroundings totally lived up to its reviews and information. It was perfect for our family, from the youngest at 8 to the oldest at 71. The Owners' Club passes were a great benefit for the kids and teenagers.

Our extended family had a great stay at the Sweet Escape! Each adult couple had their own bedroom and bathroom and there were plenty of common spaces for playing games, watching TV, and doing puzzles. The hot tub was a bonus, as were the passes for the indoor pool and fitness center. Recommend this stay for large or small groups!

This was our fourth time staying! We love it in the late fall just as much as we do in the early summer. Enough space for older parents and three familes with adult and young adults to stay comfortably. Kitchen well stocked with the pans and things we needed to cook a large Thanksgiving dinner and house was clean! Perfect stay!

We were very impressed with the property and appreciated the cleanliness of it. We had 14 adults (ages 23-28) stay and there was plenty of space to spread out. The 5.5 bathrooms was also a perk. The kitchen is stocked with most utensils and plates needed and the appliances were clean and easy to use. The washer and dryer came in handy when we went to Dittmar Farms on a rainy day but we still enjoyed ourselves! There was plenty of propane for the outdoor grill and spare tanks for use. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time and our only complaint was only staying for the weekend!

It was a wonderful home. I would highly recommend this home. In fact, I plan on staying there next year. The individuals in my group thought the house was perfect for us. Stayed here with my extended family. Plenty of room for all of us and the amenities were just what we needed. Galena Territory has a lot to offer and this house was a great home base.

We enjoyed the fire pit and the pool table. Several people used the hot tub and enjoyed it. The kitchen was well stocked.
On the whole the place was very nice. There were a couple of things that were not up to par. The door going to the sunroom had a tendency to stick snd was hard to open. We could not get into the unit with the code I was given. We had to call and get a new one to enter the property. A floor strip came up between the bedroom on the main floor and the hallway.
I would say everyone did enjoy the house and the club. The passes were used by the young people and there is a lot to do in the area.
I would recommend the location snd the house. We had a very nice time snd are planning to return to the area next year.

Our family gathered in Galena for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. The property had enough room to accommodate our family with comfort. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, time on the large deck with the fire pit and lower level screened hot tub. Took the little ones on a goat trek and wagon ride. Access to the recreation center was a plus. Kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals for the crowd. Overall a great stay.

4 families with adults and kids ranging from 1-15yr stayed here and we had an absolutely fantastic time. We visited the Galena area yearly; this was the best house we stayed at. From the hot tub, to the large family room, to the multiple bedrooms/bathrooms,firepit, and gas grill, we all loved our time in Sweet Escape and will come back to here again every year!

The property was amazing as well as all the directions on how to operate everything if it was in question. Constant contact with the owner almost immediately if anything was needed. This was a close to home yet a get away for us and everything was beautiful, clean and accurate as far a pictures. Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay and would absolutely do so again.

Best of the Woods
I’m a grandma and every year take my family to the Territory for a weekend. This year we tried Sweet Escape. There was so much to love! Personally, I loved sitting on the deck with the surrounding woods within reach! The nearby screened in porch was an added benefit for outdoor relaxing. I was expecting insects to be a challenge, but no problem at all. The front porch was also delightful. I was very surprised when a mama turkey came out of the woods with her babies trailing behind! The inside of the house was nice also and we enjoyed the large family room downstairs. The hot tub was especially nice and was screened in too. With teenaged grandkids driving their own vehicles, I appreciated the more than ample parking. We plan to come back next summer as definately a sweet escape!

This was a great choice for group of 10 people for a 2 day getaway science retreat. Reservation process smooth and owner Jennifer responsive and helpful. Property was clean, stocked as advertised, and in a beautiful neighborhood and setting. We hope to be back!

Perfect Family Getaway
Our multi-generational family had a great time at this beautiful home in the Galena Territory! We had our own spacious bedrooms, four bedrooms had en suites and the kids/teens took the rooms that shared a bathroom. We loved the deck, screened in porch, ample driveway, huge kitchen, and multiple family spaces this home provided. We spent time at the pool at the Owner's Club, walking trails, golf, and a little shopping in downtown Galena. I only wish we had more time to do more things! You can't see the neighbors from the house, there is plenty of seating, and there are spaces for everyone to spread out or hang together. The owner was super responsive to all of our questions and could not have been easier to work with! We would come back again!

Everything was super simple! It was in a beautiful and quiet location. We had LOTS of space for our family of 12. The Owner’s Club amenities were very nice as well.
