Spacious room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, great location easy to find and big enough parking lot

The location, room size, and staff were exceptional. Our children loved the pool. It was clean, a good size and fenced off from the grassed area. Large, shaded parking behind the hotel, away from the road. Separate bar adjacent to the reception area offering happy hour early evening. Great location to walk into the town, 5 mins walk to the top of the town centre. Easy access from the motorway. Great overnight/short stay option. Lots of bar/restaurant options in the town. Good large wardrobe in our family room. Fridge was empty which allowed us to keep our snacks and drinks chilled.

Bath towels were quite small.

The disabled parking space was coned off and I was advised by reception that I could move a cone and park there. An hour later I was told there had been a misunderstanding and I should move my vehicle. By that time there were no car parking spaces available and I was forced to park opposite the hotel across a busy main road. My understanding is that French law requires an establishment to provide at least one disabled parking bay. This is the first time that I have been asked to move a car displaying a disabled parking card so that a large commercial vehicle could take that space. This is clearly discriminatory and the management needs to be aware of its responsibility!

Booked because it had a swimming pool but just before we arrived we were informed the pool would be closed. The pillows on my bed were extremely lumpy; they'd clearly been washed and were hard and very uncomfortable and really disturbed my sleep. The next morning when I asked for them to be replaced I was told they didn't have any spare pillows in the hotel! I expressed my view that they were unacceptable and fortunately they managed to rustle up another couple of pillows! Pity the poor guest who ended up with the ones I rejected!

The room we eventually got was clean and reasonably comfortable for a hotel of this cost.

The reception we were given was terrible. The receptionist was unfriendly and curt, and made no apology for the fact that the hotel's restaurant was closed (which was not stated on their website or Booking.com's) despite the fact that ability to eat at the hotel was a key reason for our booking - we were tired after a long day's driving and did not want to have to go out to eat. We were then given the key to a room which was already occupied (only comment from reception : "it happens") and the information given by the hotel about hours that the pool was open was incorrect. (In fairness, a second member of reception, perhaps embarrassed by the attitude of the first, did attempt to make some amends.) Booking.com also has a responsibility to ensure that the information it provides is correct!

They had no record of our booking, also quite busy -

we were in the newer building next to pool. Nice and quiet pool, good breakfast, nice family room. Short walking distance to center. No luxury hotel, but great accommodation for few nights with everything you need. Thanks for having us!
