The fact that the reservation was cancelled by the hotel at 20:00, actually two hours before expected arrival, which was delayed, due to unexpected blockage of Gotthardt tunnel in Switzerland. The management of the hotel simply has not put any emergency plan for late check-ins in place. It was even not willing to find a solution for guests in a exceptional situation. It rather cancelled the booking few hours before we were supposed to arrive, which creates a lot of stress and additional cost at our end. At least the hotel did not charge any no-show fee.

it was it a great location, clean, and comfortable. Mauricio, the host was extremely helpful and giving us tips about the area and accommodating us for dinner reservations in the hotel. The restaurants atmosphere, and the food, was superb!

Would be nice to have at least 2 drinking glasses in the room, mattress was a little soft for our liking.

The staff are very unpleasant. There is a woman (seemed like the owner) who only complains and frowns upon guests. Not recommended if you are looking for friendly hosts.

The owners were simply not friendly. There was a woman who seemed like the owner who was complaining all the time and frowning to guests. She gave me a hard time for using the lift to move our luggage at 7am in the morning, as if carrying the bags through the stairs is considered normal. The whole atmosphere seemed as though hotel guests were just a nuisance and what mattered for them were their restaurant guests.

Staff were good and helpful. On bus route. Near lakeside.

No tea/coffee in room

The location of this property was ideal for me and my family - 6 people (3 couples). We made the trip as we were attending my goddaughter’s wedding at Villa Bonami which was only a 10 minute drive from our property. Breakfast was available at the property but we only had coffees and drinks not because we didn’t like what was available just personal choice. The owner and his family were friendly and very helpful. The cleanliness of the bedrooms and the hotel were excellent. The location was only a short walking distance from lake como and the centre of Cernobbio where there are many bars and restaurants. Really good value for money.

Friendly staff, top-notch cleanliness, decor and ambiance, location. Staff and owners were always ready to help with anything and everything a guest can come up with. The room had no safe, but the staff allowed us to entrust our valuable electronics to their care when we were out for the day. I made a mistake in reservation where I put the checkout date wrong but we had to stay one more night. The staff and owners took this in their stride and allowed us to extend our stay because the hotel had rooms available. They helped where they could. We are very grateful.

Only two things: 1) The hotel gave us a secure parking but did not mention that it was a paid spot. I thought it was free and nobody told me otherwise. At the end of our stay we were presented with an unannounced parking bill that we had no option but to pay. I wish they told us about this payment beforehand. 2) The lack of a room safe.

A very cosy, clean, warm and welcoming hotel. I highly recommend.

Room was comfortable. There were some friendly members of staff.

We were basically held hostage and not allowed to check out even though we had paid the night before and agreed with another two members of staff that we would leave at 7:30. They even booked a taxi for us at that time. But when the taxi arrived, the driver was told to wait and was offered a coffee. We weren’t offered anything. A family came down for breakfast and the rude member of staff served them and ignored us. When we said we would leave the key and go because we had to catch our flight we were argued with. In the end she just shouted ‘leave’ so we did. We did not expect to be treated like that at a hotel and it made a very sour end to our otherwise lovely two-week trip around Italy 😞

Hotel was clean and comfortable, lobby is very beautiful

Parking not really available unless you drove up the street with all your bags or were lucky to find a spot. Evening parking was fine though around midnight. Would’ve liked breakfast included but otherwise gorgeous hotel and room. It’s quite far from como definitely need to drive it if you want to be part of the como bustle, not sure what else this area had to offer but it was a gorgeous hotel.
