I had a nice and pleasant stay at Star Hotel. The owner Pantelis provided useful information and suggestions where to go and what to do. Pantelis treats you first as a good friend and then as a customer. Thank you, Panteli.

Rooms were clean and cleaned every day at flexible hours, and the hotel is right next to both the beach and many restaurants and shops. All of the staff were accommodating and above all friendly, and willing to help with any of our needs. We were initially booked much further away from the beach and this being available at such short notice and reasonable price totally saved our holiday!

The faucilities were maybe a little basic but perfectly suitable and totally out weighted by the pros listed.

Good value with no unnecessary extras. It's got all you need. Shops nearby and a fridge in the room and a jug to make tea. 20 minutes walk to the old town but there's a restaurant on the corner too.

This was the second day we stayed at Star Hotel,and once again had a friendly welcome, The room was clean with good hot showers, Location good for all needs, Well recommended

We were met by a warm welcome by the owner Pantelis, he is a friendly and helpful and will give you any information you require on the area. Rooms are clean , comfortable beds and good shower. There is a supermarket within easy walking distance and around a 15 minute walk to the old town, well recommended, Thanks again Pantelis and we will see the again on the 11th December.

Was only there for 6 hours so not much to say

Clean, lovely long private terrace to the room and line to hang washing. Airy and breezey. Pantelis is a gentile, kind host with great advice to where to eat. Quieta atmosfere. A little haven.

For being slightly out of the hub of Rodi, it is, however perfect.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel, for me it was a very good value for money. The owner is very friendly and attentive, he cares that the guests are comfortable, helps with tips, taxi's, supermarkets, etc. The hotel is located in a residential area of Rhodes town, so it was very interesting to live there, away from the touristy hotels and the city center, and to see the real life of the locals. At the same time it's just 15 min relaxed walking to the old town, through lively streets, and just 7-10 min jogging there. I was "working from home" on my laptop from the hotel a lot, and it was really great to go running/walking in the neigbourhoods in the mornings before the working hours started, go to the beach in the morning. Zephyros beach is 7-10 min walk away, which did not feel far to me. There're a few cafe's in the neighbourhood, and one really good pastry and icecream shop, they have so much choice it was honestly difficult to stop until I tried all the pieces that looked interesting to me :) The pastry shop seems to be using good quality ingredients so has tasty things. Also, there's a regular supermarket 3 min walking from the hotel, which was also one of the most important things, as I was making lots of salads, tea and french-press coffee with milk in my room. 7-10 min walk away from the hotel is the bi-weekly green market (Wednesdays and Saturdays), so it was fun to get fresh fruits regularly there. What I also loved during my stay is going for runs into all kinds of neibourhoods from there, because everything felt close by: you can run in 10 min - and walk in 15 min - to the old town, the castle, and It's amazing to walk in the old town in the morning, around 8am, you see people just waking up and some opening their front doors, still sleepy, no tourists at all on the streets, just the locals starting their days- during those moments I felt like I was in the Game of Thrones scenes. Overall, very good value for money.

The furniture is a bit old-fashioned compared to 4- and 5-star hotels, but I think that's traditional in a way, because not every hotel can regularly upgrade their furniture, and it's same style furniture as found in many houses in Rhodes, as I noticed. I ran out of space in the "what did you like", section above, so wanted to add here- I also felt quite safe both in the hotel e.g. with a balcony window slightly open at night, and on the streets of the neighbourhood in the evening, which was very important to me.

The man at the front was very kind and helpful.

The walls were rather thin and had drunk people in the room next to mine. Not the hotels fault of course.

- The Owner is handsome and very helpful, cleaning is impeccable. They do their best to work for ar old building in every acception. 20 minutes walking for old town. 15 for the main harbour: maybe the best deal in term of price you can have in rodos town in high season. Remember that now Rodos is unfortunately expensive, so here is a good solution. Quiet good wifi Very good deal with the less expensive scooter agree
