Excellent central location, old and historic building, cosy pub with excellent food, friendly staff, comfortable mattress and pillows, cracking breakfasts.

Vehicular access for dropping off luggage….the roads are very narrow. The cold water tap coughed loudly.

the sink was cracked in the bathroom and could of done with being replaced.

It was very central, room was comfortable and breakfast was great. Evening meal was also very good.

Location was very near the water.

Had a nightmare parking I'm disabled and there is no nearby parking, a 2 hrs sort stay car park a few minutes from the pub, however car park at the top of the town with shuttle bus for £2 a trip per person was only option. Room had a very large cobweb in corner of room, small hole in the wall the size of a 50p, an electrical socket was partially hanging off the wall, advert was quite disingenuous about private bathroom, which was out of the room down a couple of stairs and up some more stairs and through a door which was open to anyone using the pub, only lockable from the inside, tried to take a shower after arriving but no hot water, spoke to the bar staff who informed us he would speak to the landlord. Upon checking in was informed there was a live band on in the pub that evening, would not have booked if we had known in advance, so after 2 hours with still no hot water decided to cut short our holiday and return home very disappointed.

Breakfast was very good. Historical building full of character. Good amount of coffee and tea in the room with bottles of water was nice. The shower was excellent. The river only a minute away on foot. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The pillows were thin. The bed was metal framed and creaky. Parking is a 5 minute walk away up a very steep hill but not a deal breaker. Best to unload your cases first and then park. It cost £3.20 to park all night.

The location The very well done&modern renovation of the room, with a wonder ful bed! The bathroom and the shower, belonging to room no 4 absolutely brilliant, sparkling clean& very spacy. All in all a delight!

All was just excellent. Be aware there is no parking facility at the property. I found something not to far for my bike but cars are another story.

Lovely old building looks beautiful from the front with lovely flowers. Right in the centre of Fowey. Staff were excellent as was the food.

I felt the interior of the pub could do with some tlc. Our bedroom was ok. There was an aspirin tablet on the floor under the bed from a previous guest and there was quite a build up of dust in the bathroom. The bed was quite uncomfortable but i think this may be due to the very flat pillows.

Brilliant location and fabulous building

The stairs were awkward - expected for a building of this age and part of its charm - however, it would be difficult for anyone with balance/walking issues.
