We stayed at the end of July. Our group consisted of 8 people ranging from 4 years old to 73. The layout of the house worked great for us! It says there are only 2 bedrooms, but there is an additional queen bed in the basement. Small kitchen area with a small table, so we had to eat in the living room. Easy check in and check out process. My only suggestions to make it better would be central air and extra TP available 😉.

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. They provided lots of extra touches (new hand soaps, dish soap, paper towels, etc) which is so nice when you’re traveling. The only thing I would change is the couch. It’s not comfortable but we made due. Overall, it was a great place and I would definitely stay there again!

This was by far cleaner than any 4 or 5 star national recognized hotel and suites!! No dust on windows, fans or bathroom corners.
Everything was clean and accommodating! Pictures are very accurate and the place is beautiful. The weather was low 50’s so we didn’t take advantage of the bonfire materials. But we did use the charcoal grill.
Scott the owner was very helpful and resourceful through emails. Any questions or concern was personal. He personally uses the property for his own vacation time and has every reason to be very proud of the property. The beds, linens, and towels are very nice. They are not lower quality just to provide.
Anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and safe stay in Lundington in the semi-secluded woods this is your place. This place is in a small neighborhood a couple street in the woods with water across the street through someone’s yard. Im not sure there’s actual public access to the water. But it is very short drive (5-10 minutes) to the lake, shopping and restaurants!

Luddington Summer
Great location just north of town with only a short drive to almost all attractions. Peaceful. Several Beaches nearby. Finished basement which is great for kids to hang out. Nice deck off the front to have morning coffee. We would stay again.

Overall this house was great. It was updated and very nicely decorated. The furniture was very modern and looked new. Also, the carpeting was nice and clean. Although not located on the lake , the house was a 5 minute drive from the lake. The air conditioning was a plus as it was hot when we stayed :) Would definitely stay here again.

Best location for our Ludington vacation
Travis on the bayou was the perfect location for our family to explore all the fantastic things to do near Ludington, from sun bathing and swimming at Stearns beach right on Lake Michigan, to hiking at Ludington state park to renting a boat for the day on Hamlin Lake. This cottage is close to everything and feels just like home , we didn’t want to leave. We will be back.
