1) All problems related to my arrival (meeting a representative at the time of arrival, receiving the keys, having two sets of keys) were easily solved beforehand while messaging with the "owner" or the responsible person (Luis) via WhatsApp (in English). 2) The location is excellent: 50 m of the sea beach (San Lorenzo), a number of cafes and restaurants close to it; a supermarket within 2 min of walk and a large "Lidl" supermarket of low prices (food) within 5-7 min of walk (see map) working till 22:00; 2.2 km from the Bus Station (Estacion de Autobuses; ~7 Euro by taxi) with a taxi station right over the corner; 3.3 km of the train station (see map). 3) A large and relatively convenient apartment with 2 bedrooms, hall with a large table, good free Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen (with an excellent inductive oven, microwave, toster, all utilities, etc.).
Very good both for a working visit for a group of 2-4 persons or for a trip with a family (up to 4-5 people).
Although I am much pleased by my visit and am grateful for the owner, there are a few things which would definitely be greatly beneficial if you could improve them.
1) The owner does not speak English, so in case of any problem, if you do not speak Spanish, you might only be communicating in writing (evidently via an online translator) which may be with a delay. For example, the induction oven (we used to cook on it every day :)) at a moment got electronically blocked, so I could not get any help from the owner and had to find a solution via Internet and fix it myself (while switching it on, keep pushing the "switch on" button longer for a few seconds :)).
2) There is no table in the kitchen (thus we had to carry all cooked meals to the hall to eat there). For a quick breakfast/supper/coffee/tea, it would be much more convenient to have a small table there (in addition to the two chairs).
3) Starting at 7:30 a.m. every day, there was a very noisy repairment or rebuilding on a neighbouring balcony (the workers also tended to speak very loudly... :)). I fully understand that this is not a problem related to the owner, but for us for this working visit (sometimes working until late at night with a necessity to have a good sleep at least until ~9) it was a clear inconvenience...
4) WIth all my previous business trips using booking.com, I always got a printed receipt (for my accountant's office) for my payment from the owners upon my request. Here I did not get this from Luis; instead he advised me to use the "Confirmation of booking" downloaded from the booking website (which can be not enough for my Institute's accountant as a real financial receipt)... I guess it would be not a problem to prepare a printed financial receipt upon request, would it?..
