Construido a principios del siglo XX y cerca de la histórica finca Old St Andrews, el Gatehouse es ideal para familias o escapadas románticas los fines de semana. Fue renovado en 2016 y ahora incluye una cocina y un baño nuevos y bien equipados. En 2017, la veranda delantera fue restaurada y el antiguo porche trasero se convirtió en un antiguo conservatorio que da al jardín trasero. Hay una acogedora chimenea de gas para las tardes de invierno. La cabaña está bien amueblada y decorada con obras de arte locales. Una pequeña biblioteca de lectura general, viajes y libros de bellas artes se encuentra en el comedor junto con juegos familiares. Hay conexión inalámbrica a internet gratuita y un Smart TV, reproductor de CD y DVD. El baño incluye lavandería.
El jardín trasero está completamente cercado, es seguro para niños pequeños y mascotas, con una gran área de césped y muebles de exterior. Es ideal para el cricket de patio trasero. This cottage is perfect for a few days away. It is in a fantastic location and is clean and comfortable, and every thing you need is provided.
Timothy and Roger greeted us and were the nicest hosts. They were welcoming but not overbearing. We appreciated that there were no instructions around the cottage. Everything was there and it was obvious how to use and respect them. I think it reflects that they trust their guests. It may not always work out for them but we appreciated that they trusted us. Thank you.

A lovely property with a great rear garden for dogs. The hosts were very informative and welcoming, leaving us with some essential gratis breakfast supplies.

My husband, little dog and I had a lovely, relaxing few days in this delightful historic cottage after the busyness of the Christmas period!
The cottage was beautifully presented, with the perfect mix of authentic historic features and comfortable modern features. The bed and linens were excellent, the full kitchen super handy, the conservatory in the back a lovely pace to read, and our dog loved exploring and running around the large back yard.
Timothy was the perfect host: very welcoming, helpful, personable while also leaving us to enjoy our holiday. We also appreciated the lovely breakfast fixings and fruit.
And we just loved revisiting beautiful Port Fairy!

What a privledge to stay in one of Port Fairy's heritage cottages. Comfortable and beautifully presented by our hosts we could not have asked for more. Fresh flowers on the mantlepiece, breakfast goodies in the fridge with a loaf of sourdough to start our holiday, a welcome sight after a day's drive. Cosy with a gas fire in the lounge and heating blankets on our bed - bliss! A lovely lawn fully fenced was enjoyed by our little fury friend while we enjoyed a glass of wine in the sunroom. Can't wait to return! Thank you Timothy and Roger.

The cottage was very comfortable and well appointed, we were kept warm with the gas log fire and the fenced back yard was a bonus with our little dog. It was well situated, near shops and good walks in the wonderful village of Port Fairy. Many Thanks.

The accommodation was perfect for my requirements. The little conservatory was fantastic to use for my printing and would be a lovely spot to sit and paint.
Thanks to Tim and Roger for providing a perfect space to relax and revive. It was set up with all that was needed and close to everything, shops and beach not far, if happy to enjoy a pleasant walk.
The atmosphere in the cottage is warm and homely and l had a wonderful week. I look forward to returning again and enjoying your hospitality once more Thank you again. Sue C

Lovely old cottage in a great location. My dog had a wonderful time playing in the large back garden and I enjoyed a wine in the sun on the front verandah. Easy walk to shops and cafes. Also an easy walk to beach.
Timothy and Roger were friendly and supportive hosts who were non intrusive but available if required. Thank you to you both.

A delightful cottage that is a comfortable stroll to the shops. We loved the historical ambience of the cottage and surrounds. Timothy and Roger were wonderful hosts. Our dog really enjoyed playing the spacious and safe back garden.

Timothy was an excellent and attentive host. He checked in with us during our stay to make sure we had all that we needed. Lovely little cottage, walking distance to shops and beach. Our two whippets enjoyed their stay too, bonus being a fenced backyard. The bed was very comfy, we had WiFi and had some fresh, local bread on arrival. First time at Port Fairy and what a gorgeous town. We will be back!

Timothy and Roger were excellent host over our 4 night stay. They checked to make sure we were comfortable and were generous with their hospitality.
We stayed in the cottage as a couple and it had everything we needed. It is within easy walking distance to the main street and not too far from the south beach.
Would happily recommend.

Just wish I had booked to stay longer. The cottage has a lovely feel about it, well stocked kitchen and breakfast supplies. Quality linen and comfortable bed. Excellent spacious secure yard for dogs. Loved the conservatory and being able to enjoy the yard even during wet and windy weather. Great location and less than a couple of minutes walk to delicious Thai and Greek patisserie.

Comfy, warm and well appointed cottage. Dog friendly house/yard. Location is excellent. Roger and Tim were most helpful regarding entry to the cottage and very generous amounts of breakfast foods and fruit supplied. Highly recommend.

Wonderful property in a delightful town
One of our favourite stays - the property and its surrounds are delightful. The cottage’s kitchen is the most well appointed I’ve stayed in making self catering very easy. The walk to shops and restaurants is short and scenic, a Greek patisserie approx 150 metres away does great things for dinner. Will be back.

When can I move in?
The Gatehouse was the perfect place to stay for the folk festival - and any other time. A very short walk to town and surrounds. The cottage was delightful, comfortable and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Tim and Roger were the best hosts, providing us with some information on local eating places and snippets of the architectural heritage of the cottage. Our favourite spot was in the conservatory, looking over the beautiful back garden and the old church rising above the trees. We were supplied with a very generous supply of provisions - more than would normally be expected. We could not recommend The Gatehouse highly enough and also the kindness of our hosts, Tim and Roger. A memorable experience.
