The property is a true eco lodge- it runs on solar power, has filtered water, compost toilets and is built with sustainable and local materials. However there is hot water, fans for your room and is overall comfortable. The staff was so kind and attentive. Our bungalow had a great view of the volcano and valley and the grounds on the property are wild and beautiful.

Not so much a negative but keep in mind you are truly in nature - this means lots of creepy crawlies! The net around the bed will keep you safe and comfortable when you are sleeping but just be prepared: there will be bugs in your room. If you are vegan also know this is a farm that has goats and other animals, so keep this in mind when/ if considering booking and let the staff know in advance for breakfast. I had plain toast and fruit. It was fine but could have been improved if some jam or peanut butter was available! My boyfriend got eggs and veggies and it was all very good. Lastly, the WiFi only works by reception, but that can also be nice if you want to switch off!

The staff was very friendly and helped you with everything they could, even a taxi on the mainland when i left. If you want to be in nature and close to everything this is the place 🥰

the fan in the bed wasn’t working well (we think, the fan turned in the wrong way) , so it was relatively hot in the night

Miguel was extremely friendly, gave us good tips and helped us arrange tours. The farm is nice, views on the volcano included, and they have a sustainable approach to tourism. It felt very authentic.Restaurants, beaches and bars are within walking distance.

Finca del Sol is perfect for nature lovers - however if you are afraid of insects this is not for you. We had huge cockroaches inside our hut - which can happen as it is in the middle of nature - but a bit difficult for us to get used to it. All in all we still enjoyed our stay very much. Ometepe is beautiful!!! :)

10/10 !! Miguel the lodge manager is so helpful, very accommodating and gave great advice. Great location for the volcano hike, some local restaurants 10/15 minutes away. The lodge was fabulous! Had everything we needed and eco means eco which was super refreshing.

The staff, accommodation & price was excellent! We were able to rent a scooter to get around the island. Loved the breathtaking view of vulcan Concepcion, the tranquility and the vision they created living at the foot of vulcan Maderas. The drinking water is filtered through ceramic filtration system. Great internet connection in the common area.

Very helpful owner, good knowledge of everything on ometepe. Arranged me early breakfast when I had to leave early. Would definitly come again :)

The property is huge and gorgeous full of flowers and exotic plants

The lodges are in the middle of the jungle very quite but still comfortable.

As they are quite isolated it's hard to find a place to have dinner after sunset. So plan your food supply well. It would be nice if they had bicycles to rent, which would give some independence.

The place was quiet and beautiful. The host, Miguel was so kind and very helpful before we even arrive! Breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our stay in Finca del Sol! This Ecolodge is offering a tour around the place and can also introduce you to the kids of the elementary school they are currently supporting. We love the idea but unfortunately we didn't have time anymore.
