The bathroom has a pretty low ceiling and you have to kneel to shower in the bath. Tall people beware. The owners live nearby and are very welcoming and helpful. The hamlet of Pre's old buildings and narrow streets give an authentic village feel. There are a couple of nice local restaurants and one of them will deliver bread. The ski lift is about 250m away and there's also an ESF school and ski pass office.

The only down side was the single red run back to Pre is steep in places and can get very icy if there's no snow. It's not for beginners.

Lovely hot water, cooking facilities, comfortable bedding, helpful owners. Everything we needed.

A very charming chalet with a lot of character. A very well equipped kitchen. Breath-taking views from the terrace.

The only disadvantage was a very low ceiling in the bathroom, which is completely understandable considering the age of the building but was a bit of a challenge esp. for someone in our company who is 192 cm tall

Le Mazot is a wonderful holiday home. You have the entire house to yourself, in an old, very charming building which has been very tastefully renovated. There is a very comfortable double bed, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the terrace has a tremendous view of the Tarentaise Valley. There is even a gas barbecue on the terrace! The bathroom is well equipped and the washing machine also has a built-in dryer. The bedding and towels provided were also quite luxurious. There are a number of hiking trails close by, and lots of sightseeing and beautiful countryside within a 30-minute drive. We were extremely pleased with our choice of Le Mazot!

As others have mentioned, the bathroom ceiling is very low, and it is easy to bump your head upon entering. There is also an electrical junction box on the stairway to the bedroom, which provides another possibility to bump your head at night. However, just to qualify this: Le Mazot is in an old building, beautifully renovated but not built to 21st century building codes. We found that to be very pleasing! But one needs to set their expectations accordingly.
