The apartment is better than what you expect, the complex/resort is stunning, surrounding areas are simply beautiful, having so close markets, shops, restaurants, and all you need! also, the apartment has everything for the beach, and beyond. Robert the owner responded very quickly, gave us great suggestions of what to do, and was very easy to communicate with, we will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the condo in Kolea. The condo itself was clean and just as described in the listing. Everything went fine during our stay, but if it hadn't, communication with the property manager was very easy. The kids loved the pool area and the beach. Definitely would consider returning on a future vacation!

Condo is roomy and nice, but the grounds and the beach club are really beautiful and well kept. The pool area is large and very inviting. The pool wasn't too busy and overlooks the bay and the ocean. It is a short walk from there to the beach. The condo is within walking distance to a grocery store, shops and restaurants.

Our family of four loved this condo! After having spent a few nights on Oahu we decided to venture to the Big Island for some adventuring.
The location is excellent and we liked that it was in a gated neighborhood. Walking distance to pool, beach, golf, and great shopping. It also appeared to be on the sunny side of the island and we had sunny skies and 80F+ every day we were there; while other parts of the island were cloudy/raining.
The "Toy" closet was fully stocked with flippers, goggles, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards (and other stuff). Super convenient for our beach trips.
The condo itself is very well built with great appliances and finishes. Everything was clean, dry, cool and ready for when we arrived.
Communication was also fantastic, with plenty of instructions for arrival, departure, and in between. It was also timely and proactive. When we arrived one of the toilets was running, I called Robert (who was incidentally on another continent) and he answered promptly and we had the issue settled quickly.
We are already looking at booking this property again for our next spring break. Very nice!

The resort of Kolea Kai is beautiful. We especially love the infinity pool with a view of the ocean and a path leading to ABay. Our condo was well equipped and comfortable. The only suggestion we would have for improvement is mattress updates. The appliances are top notch. The grill is very nice. It was nice to have a closet full of outdoor equipment including beach chairs.

The unit was amazing! Clean, spacious and well-appointed. Robert is an outstanding host; directions/instructions were perfect. Unit was very quiet, which was perfect after a busy day and luau at the next-door Marriott. You will want for nothing at this condo! This was our first trip to the big island and this turned out to be a fantastic place to spend the week. The condo was very upscale and had everything anyone could possibly need. The kitchen was very well equipped and the unit had tons of beach chairs, snorkels and boogie boards. It was within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Waikoloa as well as a really nice beach. We will surely rent this unit again in the future.

Only thing that was disappointing was that the ice maker was broken and the location of this condo was tucked in the back of the property so there wasn’t light and anything to look at. Beds were comfortable and the owner was very responsive. Love Kolea because of the grounds, pool, beach, and walking distance to shops etc!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is super clean and comfortable and the walking proximity to the beach is excellent. We especially enjoyed the board games in the unit and cooking on the grill. The pool is really beautiful but does get pretty busy in the afternoons/evenings. This property fits our needs perfectly. We love the location, condo development, & condo layout. I do think it’s time for a condo refresh though. The decor, bedding, lights, small appliances & carpet could use an update. I would get rid of the carpet completely as it has to be difficult keeping clean.
The condo wasn’t as clean as I would’ve preferred. A deep/detailed cleaning at some point would be ideal.
Again, we have enjoyed many aspects of this property twice. Robert has been a gracious, well communicating host both times.

The rental process was straight forward. Check in was exactly as described. The condo was clean and well appointed. The extra supplies in the condo and in the storage unit were exceptional! Snorkels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, bikes, helmets, etc. It offered everything we needed to make the most of our time and it’s close to the shopping areas. I’ll definitely recommend it to others and will happily stay there again when I return.

Great Location, Beautiful Property
Just returned after one week at this property in Waikoloa Beach. We enjoyed walking to A-Bay to enjoy the beach, drove to some great hikes, shopped at Kings and Queens Markets and ate at a lot of close restaurants. This is the perfect spot from which to explore the Big Island!

Beautiful Condo
Loved this property, kitchen well stocked and the unit was very well appointed and comfortable. Not to be overlooked if you are wanting a nice quite location. However the second bedroom is set up for children, not ovious from the photo.. The beds are regular twins, not XL, and if they could be put together it would still be way too short for a tall couple. It didn't make for a good nights sleep. Unfortunately the pool went under repair, and we found out it was scheduled but not communicated well to the property owner/magager, which was very important for us. They made up for it with another property day pass, for which we were very grateful . Danielle the property manager was fantastic to work with to any needs. . We would love to come back to this property if it just us, but wouldn't consider if another adult couple was traveling with us, unless the 2nd bedroom bed situation was better suited for adults.

Anniversary Trip
Our stay here well exceeded our expectations. The unit was very nice inside and had everything we needed to feel at home. The beautiful beach and pool were well within walking distance and nearby Queens Market offered all of the food and shopping options we needed. There is a comforting feeling when you’re on vacation and have all of the same amenities as you do at home like a full kitchen and washer/dryer while still being very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Highly, highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at kolea 16G. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! We’re very thankful for Robert being such a great host especially since we booked last minute. We didn’t have any problems with the unit but he was available when we had a question or two. Even the neighbor next door was pleasant! Extra special Place
We have stayed at Waikoloa Beach Villas twice as well as the Marriott in Waikoloa. Kolea has something extra special about it. The spaces are larger in the condo itself. It comfortably fit 5 of us in 2 bedrooms. You can walk right to the beach at ABay, which also means Lava Lava Beach Club. The beach club aka pool and beach area feel very fancy and like you’re part of a fancy club. They don’t have towel service during covid. The fitness room overlooks the pool and ocean. The hot tub is large and has a lava pool feel to it. Communication with Robert was perfect. Easy walk to King’s Shops for dinner and Queen’s Shops for groceries and shops. Can’t wait to come back!
