Easy to find, comfortable house.

A change of scenery. Our family is from the west side of the mountains where life sometimes can feel very hectic and crowded. The cottage was a beautiful change of scenery with the surrounding mountains and the partial Lakeview. There was plenty of room to sit around and enjoy each other’s company. The kitchen is a very nice space with a large table to enjoy morning coffee and meals. We were not disappointed by the arrangement of bedrooms, bathrooms and supplied linens/towels. The weather was a little on the cool side but we did enjoy one afternoon sitting out in the yard on comfortable lawn furniture while our dog played in the grassy, partially fenced backyard. The cottage is located conveniently near the downtown area of Manson and Manson park where we walked several times a day. We enjoyed lunch at blueberry Hills Farm a short 6 miles drive from the cottage and Easter lunch at Campbell’s resort in Lake Chelan. We had a restful change of scenery. We look forward to another visit in the near future.

Very clean and a great location. Highly recommend this place.

The vibe of the house was great. Loved the open kitchen, rooms were great. The downfall was the lack of kitchen amenities. Ended up having to share utensils while cooking and missing things like hot pads, plastic wrap, etc. Will stay here again but will pack my own kitchen amenities.

Great time on the lake.

The house ended up working out ok for our trip. But there were quite a few things that would have made it more comfortable and easy. We didn't get the number of towels needed for 7 people staying for 5 days (although they did bring more for us); 2 of 3 lights in a bedroom didn't work and were never fixed (though maintenance was scheduled to fix them on our second day ); we cooked many meals here and there was no Tupperware, plastic bags, plastic wrap or ways to store leftovers; very few cooking utensils; and I couldn't even find a piece of paper to write on - but I did finally find a pen in a random drawer. There are other things like the key being really difficult to get out of the deadbolt and the old owners of the house hanging out in the backyard for an hour after we got there at the 4pm check-in time - that was really weird!!

First, the house is right off the main street in downtown Manson, just about a half a block down a street. If you're in the front yard you can see the lake for sure. The neighborhood has stray cats all over, it was entertaining to count them on walks! The front of the house has a gorgeous rose arch. When we sat outside we had many comments telling us how pretty "our roses" were. :)

I would suggest to Vacasa to have the AC on in the house for guests as they arrive, plus thermostat instructions. It was very stuffy and hot. There wasn't instructions on how to turn it on. After some playing around with the thermostat, we got it working, made all the difference.

Another reviewer mentioned there weren't much supplies. We had 1 roll of paper towels for 5 days, and 2 kitchen size garbage bags. For 5 days there's lots of fruit to dry, and we had lots of garbage with take out and groceries.

The kids bedroom with 2 bunk beds is kind of small. Our 2 teens decided they didn't want to share, so the other one went into the third bedroom. The master bedroom is facing east, so a sunny summer morning it's a bit bright.

The bathrooms are updated.

There's one tv in the house and it's in the family room. We brought our own apple TV setup to watch movies.

The backyard is super cute, my kids played frisbee out there.

The location to downtown Manson is perfect! We walked to coffee, restaurants, and wineries so easy.

We decided that this setup would be too cramped for 2 families, but does sleep 2 in master, 4 in kids, 1-2 in 3rd bedroom.

I didn't see anywhere on Vacasa listing on what was included in the house, like a hair dryer (which they did have). That information could be helpful.

No trouble finding, parking, or getting in the home, even in the dark. The location is perfect for family walks or hitting a few tasting rooms in town. For the $100. cleaning fee the house was fine. They really should get someone in for a deep cleaning, baseboards, windows, wall scuffs, etc. We had some ants in the master bathroom, no hand soap anywhere, and no wine screw. We replenished, can't leave the next family without. Especially, a wine screw in wine country! haha

The place is walking distance from where we rented our boat and jet skis so that was great! Upon arrival we were greeted with a overfill garbage can on the curb, like it was trash day so we didn’t think too much about it. We had a har time getting into the house! As the new day greeted us, the trash can was still not emptied so we sat with a huge black bag full of trash in the house our entire stay. I tried contacting the place and they finally got back to me like the last night we were there to tell me mainywoul be by to pick it up. They never showed up, the morning of our check out the trash company came but it not cool at all!

great home nice getaway will definitely do again

My biggest and only problem with the house is how dirty it was. The bathroom rags had hair and stains on them. Some bathroom towels were stained. The bedsheet in the master bathroom had a stain and it smelled. I felt like I was sleeping with a dog in my bed. I tried not to move a lot. It was the worst part probably. The kitchen wasn’t very clean. One of the pans had food leftovers on it. The toaster was covered with whatever someone cooked before us. There was dusty floor, missing mosquito nets in 2 of the bedrooms and a broken mosquito net in the master bedroom. The mirror in the master bathroom just fell on me. It looked like it was repaired a few times before. There could have been a beautiful view from the living room only if the windows were not so dirty. The walls and doors are so dirty. I can just keep going. It’s hard to believe how much they charge for the cleaning and keep the house in this condition.

The property did not feel clean when we arrived, and Had a very old musty smell. The garbage cans were overflowing in with the front of the house. The AC unit was so loud coming on and off through the night, that coupled with the neighborhood rooster made for a night of no sleep. We ended up leaving after one night stay.

We loved the large back yard and the proximity to the lake. They stocked you with basics but you will need to bring more garbage bags, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels etc. The 4th “room” with a twin bed doesn’t have a window that opens and has many spiders. The bunk beds in the other room were very unstable. It says that it can sleep 8 but I would say it can sleep 4 adults and then a couple of kids.

We enjoyed all this home had to offer! View of the water, quick walk to Manson park as well as into town for coffee and wine tastings and large well stocked kitchen. The house was bigger than expected so our 2 families (8 of us) were very comfortable.

Perfect house for a couple families and kids, with great walking access to the lake and downtown Manson. The house is spacious and open and the bunk beds were a hit with the kiddos! Great new grill and backyard for BBQing, and the front porch is fabulous for spending the evening with a view of the lake.

The location of this place was great! One block from the water, two blocks from restaurants and wine. Operated as a great Basecamp for me and coworkers for the weekend. I think this house must be new on the market though because it hadn't been fully setup correctly. WiFi didn't work, and the property manager was unable to fix it before we left. The password provided was wrong, and the factory default was removed from the box. Wires were left on the floor as if someone had just set it up. Not having internet for 3 days was a big negative experience because many of us didn't have cell reception out in Chelan. The remote for the TV was missing, and although there was a Roku it was new in the box and hadn't been connected to the WiFi so it was also not working for the duration of our stay. The dryer was also broken, so we could not do laundry. This is an important detail since we planned to swim and wanted to put our clothes through the wash, or dry towels. Really great property though, and I'm sure these small issues will be ironed out. I got the sense that we were one of the first guests.
