It works for a couple of people. Some of the furniture and fixtures are just old and tired but everything works.
Location is great.

Overall we enjoyed our time here. Kitchen was well stocked. Some of the furniture felt a bit tired, especially the room that had broken blinds, dresser and headboard. Great location.

Had to do some of the housekeeping duties although was charged for cleaning services.

I felt comfortable and safe in this clean, cozy home. The proximity to downtown was very helpful! Communication with the property management was timely and appreciated! There was a little traffic noise one night, but overall this was not a problem. I enjoyed my stay!!

This is a nice little house in a great location near downtown and right by a beautiful trail that goes around the town. We stayed for a week and had a great time!

Nice house with lots of interesting and appealing aspects that made for good experience. The beds were comfortable, the heat worked well, internet was fine, and hot water was realizable, towels and other essentials were available with no frills. The floor was slanted somewhat and the character of the house was very interesting. A great place and close to downtown…all at a reasonable price. My only complaint was that management never responded to my questions before arrival, but thankfully everything worked out, but communication with a human would have been nice along with a garbage can to throw out trash outdoors as instructions dictated.

The house was well organized,, supplied, and clean. We had a group of 4 (2 adults, 2 children 10 and under) it was perfect for our group but much bigger than that and it’s too small. Parking was a little touch and go due to the amount of snow that Leadville got this year. Once we arrived, someone cleaned off the snow for us and we were able to park. I do wish there was a little more direction on the check in form about where our parking was but without the snow I’m sure it would have been easier to tell.

We were beyond happy with this home! We love staying in older homes for the history of it all. And this home was built in the 1880s! So Of course this home is well loved. It’s true to its time and not picture perfect like most modern homes. It keeps its integrity that way. Yes there is some dips in the floor. But you’re staying in a home that’s survived well over a century. So what’s not to love? If you’re expecting glitz and glamour then maybe reconsider Leadville for your visit. Just like this house the city is packed full of history. I don’t honestly think it has changed much from when I visited as a kid. And that’s exactly why we love this town!
Noted mention: I knew this home would be great when I found out it’s owner is another Buckeye!

I had a great time staying at the Holly House in Leadville. The listing description is accurate, and I was comfortable and cozy while I biked, napped, and hung out at the house. Most Leadville houses have uneven floors - this was no exception. Once I figured out the pattern of slant between the rooms it was a non-issue. The kitchen was well-stocked for my minor cooking needs, and I could do laundry and household stuff with the included facilities. Summertime in Leadville can get warm, and the ventilation/windows is not great. But the air cools off in the evening and the house usually catches up before bedtime. The proximity to the Mineral Trail is a nice bonus - I did several rides around the area. And the walk into downtown is just about 8 minutes. I enjoyed staying at Holly House - it fit just what I was looking for in a cycling base camp.

Normally, we like to stay outside of town, the more secluded the better! But we loved staying at this cute little place right in town. We rented bikes and did the loop. We were able to stop at the house to exchange our water bottles! There was nothing we did not like about this house and would stay there again in a heartbeat! We even liked the pots and pans, so much that we bought some just like them when we got home! Definitely, good memories were made in Leadville during our stay.

Quintessential Leadville house - cute and cozy
The exterior is a charming throwback to a time gone by, and the interior is accented with some lovely pieces that fit the era, like the lovely dining room set with needlepoint seats on the chairs, yet coupled with more contemporary furniture in the living room for the sake of comfort. The beds are great, the kitchen well-equipped, and the appliances work well. We feared that the ultra- cold nights during our stay would challenge the heating system, but we were perfectly comfortable. The bathroom is not elegant but is clean and functional. There is ample street parking, and an added perk is the house is eco-friendly with a solar paneled roof.

Cross Country Ski Vacation
This VRBO sits on the Mineral Belt Trail making it ideal for skiing from the house. Also, it was within minutes of other CX skiing areas. We enjoyed walking around town as the house is right there on the edge of town. The area the house sits in is very quiet. We didn't hear any noise from HWY 24 or the neighbors. Will book another stay in the future.

Vacation
Lots of room for 2. The slanted floors in the quaint house didn’t bother me. The bed in room by the bathroom seems to have the head sloping downward? Seems it could be elevated by raising with a board under head portion of frame. Stove slopes backward so keep en eye on your grease in the pan. We were not at the house during the day but if you intend to stay in house to relax and watch tv be aware that loveseat and chair have seen better days for long hours of sitting. We never watched tv in the bedroom but I guess you could do that. I would stay there again if in the area. Bed was comfortable and that’s where most of our time was spent when at the house.

I read a lot of the reviews before reserving this house for a long weekend. If there was a complaint, the owners/property managers replied that the issue had been resolved, so I was surprised that they hadn't been.First, parking - there was supposed to be a garage. There was a old building that might have been one, but there was no way I would park in it. Next, back door - super hard to lock from the inside due to misalignment. Next, the floors - I thought the previous renters exaggerated, but nope. There is not a level floor in the house. Then the bedrooms - beds horribly uncomfortable. The headboard in one of the bedrooms squeaked every time one of us moved. Had to shove a pillow between the wall and the headboard AND there is no door to the exit to the hall and bathroom. The thermostat was not working. Fortunately, we had great weather and didn't need air or heat. Smell - the house smelled when we arrived. Went to the grocery store to get air fresheners so that helped. I'm rating this 2 stars because at least it was a roof over our heads and the location was ideal for us.

Great for price
It is a cute little house and served our needs. It is old, which means that the the room layout is weird and floors are very uneven and "wavy". It could be a lot more attractive if it had updated carpet, paint, and if the cabinets in the kitchen made sense and were convenient. But that would add to the price per night so it is just fine the way it is. The location is right off the highway, but it was not loud. The mineral belt trail is right outside the door so very convenient to hop on and go for a walk. There is only space for one vehicle to park and just barely. Basically in the ditch out front since the houses on either side are so close. Overall it was a great place for us to stay. Close to grocery and liquor stores :)

Leadville charm
I liked this house, but I would probably look elsewhere if coming back. The master bedroom is missing a door, so that's uncomfortable. The bathroom could use a deep clean.. During my stay, I messaged the owner twice and didn't receive a response either time. Lots of potential here for an otherwise charming little house!

I love Leadville!
Thanks for a terrific stay in one of my favorite places -- Leadville! The home was perfect for a few friends. Small, but cozy and clean. and in a very convenient location. We would definitely stay again on a future Leadville visit!

Small but perfect
Yes the home has a little problem with being level but it was built in the 1800's. Perfect location if you like to use the mineral belt. We were there during the covid outbreak and was not planning on being there too much but since most everything was closed we spent more time there. Found out that it was perfect for us. Short walk to town, good since 11200 feet make long walks kind of hard. Leased how to cross country ski while there and having the trail right across the road made it perfect. Will be back mext year and hope to get the same place.

Excellent house, plenty of room!
This is a great little house to hang out at between adventures in the mountains! Check your email often, some of the owners/managers emails never arrived or went to junk.

Very unique old house
Make sure you read all the details and rolls before renting the property. For being such an old house the renovations within the home meet up anyone’s standards Of a place to save for either work or vacation. The house does not have privacy blinds with it and the two bedrooms are conjoining rooms so if sharing the rental with someone take note that the rooms connect. I very much enjoyed my stay and if needed to would rent out the property again.

Stepping back in time
While this house has some of the characteristics of a House built in the 18th century it has been maintained, renovated, and decorated into a very charming place to stay.

Get away😛
Loved the location of the property..right in front of the “Mineral Belt” trail. While we realize this is a winter ski location, the plastic chairs on the front porch, could have offered a more relaxing morning coffee had they not been broken. We would love to visit again in the summer months....a new mattress is needed on the queen bed, there were only two of us, so don’t know about the double. Great kitchen, bathroom is ok (put a shower head on, & replace or at least tighten the toilet seat). All in all, we enjoyed our visit!! GREAT neighbors!!!!
