Everything was absolutely perfect. Staff: Janaka was very welcoming and helpful. Once you arrive you are gifted with a welcome drink and some fruits. They have offered us a ride from and to the train station. Laundry service was provided free of charge. Every day our room was super clean and organized after room service. Location: The hotel is close to ahangama, nevertheless it is located in the middle of the jungle far enough from the busy area. You can enjoy the hotel to relax and feel the nature. Facilities: The room was clean, modern and very big. The bed was very comfortable. You can find all the amenities you will need, including for example: yoga mattresses, gym weights, food in the fridge, etc.

Let me start by saying that the staff went over and beyond during our stay (and post-stay experience). We had a mishap at a nearby city and the staff promptly came down and provided us with support to get us out of a blunder. We also left an item behind when we proceeded to our next hotel, and they travelled 2 hours to courier the item to us. Really beyond thankful. Wonderful breakfast spread and dinner on request, and we also met the owner who was a generous host. The pool was impeccably clean and the room was spacious and comfortable.

The place is hard to get to, even with Google Maps, but just follow the provided instructions or forward it to your driver.

honeymoon couple. one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed with. Andy and janaka did above and beyond to make our honeymoon unforgettable and yes we will never forget it. the pool is beautiful and so long , all the area is magical. the crew is kind and the hospitality is wonderful. i recommend to do the massage next to the mango trees it’s something else. we will definitely go back! thanks again

This place is very good value for money compared to other places in Sri Lanka. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help - they let us check in early, they gave us details of a great tuk tuk driver to use around the area, they organised transport to the next location and were just very helpful. The welcome drink and fruit was a nice touch. The breakfast was nice and fresh and good coffee. The room and bathroom was very large and comfortable. The room was very clean and bright and bug free. The pool was very clean and nice to swim. The surrounds are very nice and quiet. It is only a few minutes by tuk tuk to the beach or restaurants. Having just four rooms was very nice as it was quiet and peaceful.

Our best choice was Uyana. This is an island of peace, harmony, quality, nature and very nice people. Charged our mind, soul and heart.

Just a perfect location. It is even better than on the photos. You can ask no more!

From the start we were looked after so well by Janaka, being picked up from the train station which we didn't expect at all to coconut water or coffee being brought to us when we were relaxing at the venue - the attention to detail was really exceptional.

Uyana was simply a gem ! The hotel itself is beautifully designed and the minimalist room decor is to die for. In addition the staff there goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring, doing yoga, or surfing. The hotel has very few rooms so perfect for intimacy. Breakfast was delicious ! Perfect for a luxurious romantic gateway or for people wanting to relax in a beautiful setting. Note that the hotel does not serve lunch nor dinner but the concierge can easily accommodate restaurant bookings or deliveries. I highly recommend.

Absolutely unique hotel, I have been to many and for some reason this one was very special. In the middle of the jungle, and every detail is there to make you feel good! Also very professional staff and amazing breakfast.

A beautiful oasis minutes from the beach by TuTuk

Truly a magical place in a quiet and serene location. Only a short Tuk ride from beach and restaurants. The property was so beautiful and the rooms has the best standard I have seen in Sri Lanka. Janaka was incredibly addomodating and such a kind host. Always there to assist with anything. Also he and his wife makes the most tasty curries!!

The location and tranquility of the hotel. You’re in the middle of a jungle, close enough to a beach and town, surrounded by exotic plants, animals (monkeys, birds, reptiles, cows in further distance on rice paddies). I can’t think of a more relaxing place. The staff completes the magic. The manager Janaka and his team, Janita and Jeanne, go above and beyond to make you feel at home, spoiled, and they share a lot of knowledge about the local culture, religions, food, history. I stayed 16 nights so we became friends and I was invited to join a family trip to the Buddhist Weduwa temple, festive dinners, and more. The breakfasts I had were genuinely the best I’ve had in my life. They were also made (every day a new creation) to fit my diet. Andreas, the proprietor, gave me fabulous tips to explore the island and joined me for a few meals, which was lovely because he has a wealth of knowledge to share, too. The rooms are huge, very tastefully furnished, well isolated, the bed is great and smells amazing and always have fresh flowers, water, and pool towels.

Nothing. They actually managed to turn a negative into a positive when there were governmental power outages. The hotel was lit up with coconut oil lights - this gave Uyana a temple like atmosphere and was perfect for listening to the sound of nature and observing stars and fireflies.

This is the most incredible hotel in Sri Lanka. Rooms are very nice, spacious and clean. The pool is amazing and the property (palms, trees, monkeys, birds) is beautiful. But the true soul of Uyana are the people; manager Janaka who is the sweetest person ever, ladies that make the most delicious breakfast and Andi the owner who is responsible for this srilankan gem!! Thank you for having us, this was the highlight of our vacation!

We absolutely loved this calming & detail loved place! It’s only 4 nice designed rooms and there is nothing but nature and you literally only hear birds and monkeys living while lying at the pool. the minimalism modern design of the building and rooms is a nice contrast to the natural environment. Then there is the team that is so so nice we never experienced that much effort they put in all our wishes. Janaka and his crew helped a lot with all our issues/ requires and had nice tips for activities like boots tour with cinnamon adventure or local food addresses. We were so lucky to get to know to Andi (owner) who was also always there for help. it was so nice to meet you guys! Thanks @ uyana for this wonderful stay we so much enjoyed and will definitely come back! Highly recommended place 👌🏼

For those who seek boutique experiences, this will be the stay of your lifetime. It's a piece of paradise surrounded by jungle but still very close to all main activities on the coast. Who wouldn't like to wake up with a wild peacock, in all its beauty 🦚, admiring itself in the windows of their room. Besides the extremely comfortable rooms and amenities there is a 25m long infinity pool overlooking the beautiful garden and rice fields. The amazing host Janaka will spoil you with healthy, nutritious and glamorous breakfasts and make sure you are well taken care of throughout the whole stay. You can even practice meditation with the kind owner Andi. Unforgettable experience, already considering to return to Sri Lanka just to stay here.

Absolutely nothing!

We have just returned from our holiday at Uyana having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Even before we arrived, the owner, Andi, was providing us with information and assistance in arranging visas and taxis. The hotel is very stylish and made up of four rooms only, meaning it is a very quiet hotel and ideal to relax in. It is situated in a jungle overlooking paddy fields. As a result, the amount of nature to be viewed is vast. Butterflies, monkeys, a range of beautiful birds, lizards, water monitors, chipmunks, mungos... We chose the balcony room which was great as it had its own bench for nature watching. The room was very clean, stylishly designed, great wet room / shower, very comfortable bed and overall, very spacious. Outside, there is a huge pool that is cleaned daily, often more thank once and gardens containing a beautiful range of flowers, trees and plants. The staff who work at the hotel were fantastic. Janaka, the manager, often drove us places during the day and collected us at night after our evening meal free of charge and always refusing tips. The cook at Uyana was fantastic too and cooked us a variety of Sri Lankan food that was very well presented. We had breakfast included in the room deal and had two evening meals there throughout our stay. We participated in couples yoga and had massage during our stay which were reasonably priced. Alcohol and food were also reasonably priced whilst juices and coffee were free throughout the day. Overall, one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had thanks to Andi and his hard working and committed team. We are so pleased we came across this hotel and are already looking to return next year.

Room was very spacious, amazing shower, nice room design. You feel like resting just by looking at everything. The facilities are amazing and the staff very friend and helpful. If you need something you just need to ask them.
