We had the absolute best time during out first visit to Spanish Wells/Russell Island. Candida made the whole process so easy starting with our taxi ride from the airport to the island. She also had someone waiting for us at the dock to transport our luggage to the house since we only had a golf cart. The private beach in the backyard was amazing, we snorkeled and took the kayaks out from there. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We all agreed that this was the only vacation we've been on where we wanted to immediately book for next year. Thanks again, Candida. We will be back!

From the start of the booking to our arrival Candida was great...answering all of our questions and making arrangements from the airport to get us to the property seamlessly.
The property was absolutely amazing with the most beautiful views imaginable. The cove was perfect for snorkeling or just floating in the water.
We sat for many hours on the dock watching all types of fish, rays and sea life.
Loved this property and can't wait to go back!

We’re looking forward to our future stay. The airlines canceled our flights for two days in a row, preventing us from making the trip at all. The host allowed us to move our reservation to a future date, rather than lose it. We’re so appreciative of the understanding and willingness to accommodate us. Can’t wait to get there in June instead of March!

Mermaids Cove was the perfect home for our trip to the Bahamas. The home was stocked with all vacation and household necessities, especially the kitchen. We cooked many meals at home with the amazing view of the backyard/ocean! We snorkeled every evening around the rocks in the water, finding cork and fish and an old car in the water. The provided golf cart was wonderful! We will return again if we can!

My wife and I stayed at Mermaids Cove for the month of March and had a fantastic time. The small private beach and dock was great. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the golf cart that comes with the house gets you to wherever you want to go.
Our property manager Candida was awesome. Always responds right away and took care of us. Thank you Candida! Your the best. Would I stay here again? Well, I’m already booked for next year 😎

We loved our time at this sweet waterfront cottage! The backyard and pier were favorite spots. The golf cart was invaluable for getting back and forth to restaurants and grocery. Loved our time in Spanish Wells!

We loved this property! The view and easy access to the private beach area was the best. Our 2 year old son loved being able to wake up and go swimming. We snorkeled several days and saw lots of fish, a large ray, and even a barracuda. Candida is very easy to communicate with. The golf cart included with the rental was another plus!

A small slice of heaven
The property was fantastic, the small protected beach was awesome on some of the windier days. Candida the property manager was a huge help and has some great tips for the island. The island is a quiet less touristy island so perfect for relaxing. Would love to come back.

Darling Beach Home
We enjoyed our visit immensely. Russell Island is simply gorgeous. The little beach and snorkeling around the rocks there and then kayaking to see the wildlife was great. Additionally the golf cart was a great convenience. Two small comments which are easy fixes and would make the stay more comfortable. There was no Drinking water in the home. Simply providing a full 5 gallon jug and information where to get additional water would be so helpful. Secondly, a few extra rolls of toilet paper would be great. Visitors would appreciate not having to go to the store immediately after arriving. Instructions on where the market and the water filling station along with restaurant/bar recommendations for first time visitors would be helpful. We loved it and hope to be back soon!

Paradise
Mermaid's Cove is the perfect location for when you need to just get away and relax. There's so much to see and do without even stepping off of the property. Always make sure that you have your phone/camera with you when down by the water because you never know what might go swimming by.
Candida went above and beyond to assist us during our stay, we can't thank her enough!

Candida was great! The property was beautiful and clean. The Beach was amazing, we had 4 starfish that stayed the whole time we were there and saw a stingray one early morning. I can't wait to book a trip back for next year! Did I say how great and nice Candida was? She is very accommodating and helpful with the island!

We found this property to be everything we expected. It was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location, with its own private beach, made the trip extra special.
The golf cart, which gave us access to the island, was an added bonus and made the trip so much more enjoyable!!

Beautiful Home
We had a wonderful stay here. The sunsets were stunning and the little private beach was perfect for our five-year-old twins to play on. Getting around was a breeze with the golf cart that was provided and everyone around Spanish Wells was very friendly. The house had just been updated and refurnished and had a great beach house vibe to it. I would highly recommend this property for a small family.

Amazing vacation spot
We had a wonderful time at this property. It was clean and comfortable for our family of four. The use of the golf cart was a wonderful added bonus.
We spent most of our time in the water behind the house, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and splashing in the crystal clear water. The small private sandy beach was great, and the water is some of the prettiest we have ever seen.
Candida was very helpful with arranging transfers with Pinder’s taxi service from the airport to Spanish Wells. She met us at the dock and took us to the rental. Since we were arriving on a Sunday afternoon and the grocery store is closed, Candida was kind enough to pre-stock our kitchen with some bottled water.
We highly recommend this rental, or Candida! We had a great time.

Quiet Little Haven
Very relaxing stay. Candida had everything set up just like all the other reviews said she would.. Snorkeling off the private beach was a blast. Take the road all the way to the end of the island. There is a trail that leads to a private beach that is AMAZING!!!

Get away from it all
The beach front is beautiful and the location amazing. Totally relaxing experience away from it all. If you are looking for lots to do, this isn’t your island. But if just chilling is your thing, great. Next time we’ll do more kayaking.

Just Relaxing
Property is nice for hanging out. Generally well maintained. A definite plus would be to have some full size lounge chairs instead of just a couple of beach chairs to use. Enjoyed the kayaks. Can't walk along the beach from here but everything is within a short golf cart ride.

Perfect relaxing beach getaway
This was our fourth trip back to Spanish Wells, but first time staying at this location on Russell Island. The house was spacious and clean. Nice having a washer, dryer, golf cart and central air conditioning. The best part of this house is the backyard! The house has it's own private beach and it's big! The gazebo on the deck was a perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee. The hammocks in the backyard were a wonderful addition and we used the kayaks almost everyday. There is some good snorkeling right off the dock, we saw an Eagle Ray, Sting Ray and the biggest Porcupine Puffer Fish I have ever seen! Candida was an excellent host and helped us at the last minute to book a rental car on Eleuthera island with no problems. I highly recommend this house and we plan to stay again on our next trip out to Spanish Wells.

Simply Amazing!
This little gem is in the heart of paradise! Spanish Wells is a quiet island with all the infrastructure (reliable power & water, tv, internet, etc) without all the drawbacks of more tourist’y locations. Candida is a rockstar of a host who went way above expectations and was very flexible with our varying schedules. Only thing we wish was different would be staying longer!
