An absolutely beautiful property in a stunning location. Enormous pool, outdoor firs, beautiful decor.. everything was perfect! The hosts were so lovely, they had thought of literally EVERYTHING.. from spare toothbrushes to coffee in the morning and pool toys for kids... your every need is catered for. Will definitely be back. We had THE BEST TIME!

The experience at Taran’s Newport house was overall a huge disappointment from the very moment we stepped foot on the property. Firstly, the property manager did not provide us with the information to gain access to the house keys, so we were locked out of the house for about 45 minutes until Taran (the host) provided the access code. Taran was verbally abusive on the phone when we arrived and asked for the access code and about the pool cleanliness (see below). Despite his apology after the fact, nothing was done to rectify the damage done to our holiday. The level of cleanliness of the entire house (including inside and outside) was appalling. The patio furniture, including wooden planks and ornaments, were all covered in dust and cobwebs. The pool (which is a key reason why we chose this property) was not clean or well maintained - it had algae and was not swimmable on the day of arrival due to the pump ‘being broken’. Inside the house was no better. The kitchen, dining table, glass doors, and cutlery were not clean. We had to clean the entire kitchen, crockery and leather couch before using it. The master bedroom sheets were clearly used and hadn’t been changed - they were smelly and dirty, with white stains on them (see pictures attached). At 11pm on our first night we were changing the bed linen. The side tables in the bedroom were dusty, and the main bedroom bed side lamps did not work. The bathroom contained someone else’s toiletries including a used razor and toothbrush. It was very evident that the house had not been cleaned before our arrival according to platform standards or health regulations, and was merely a rushed ‘superficially tidy’. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place until it is thoroughly cleaned and even somewhat resembles it’s description online.

Great pool and outdoor space.

I booked my stay here for my wedding. It was HORRIBLE! Each of my bridesmaid who would arrive would get attacked by the neighbours asking why they were there and how long they were staying. The photographer for the wedding also got hassled. We were sitting outside just chatting (no music) at 8:30 pm we were yelled at by the neighbours to go inside as they had a long week. This was a horrible vibe for my wedding and was very disappointing and I never get to have all my friends together. As you walk up the stairs you and cleary there is a door that says don't open as someone else is living there. This house does not feel private at all. I live on the beaches and I know how expensive it is. But this is not worth your money. Do not book here if you want to relax.

Notting wrong with this place as everything is great and nice area and We have to follow the rules. So it's all great to me.

We had booked this property for a photoshoot as it's such a beautiful place. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the shoot because of the heavy rains and both the property owner and managers were so incredibly thoughtful throughout the whole process. They gave me a ring in the morning with a weather update as it wasn't going to be nice for our models. We now have a new date planned next week and thank you so much again for your help and understanding throughout the whole process. Can't wait to book again and recommend you! :)

The accomodation is in a stunningly beautiful location bordering a reserve with uninterrupted views of the ocean. The living area is sparklingly clean and very inviting.The elegant furnishings make the space very stylish. If anything the photos don't do it justice. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Nothing was a problem for them. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and luxury of the pool and large wrap around timber deck. The local tips helped us in choosing the best local restaurants and cafes during our stay. There were thoughtful touches all over the property with amazing amenities. The stay was excellent! We enjoyed staying in Avalon, although some constructive feedback for the owners: - The property is advertised as a house, however you actually only get access to / stay on one level of a three story house. Therefore, it doesn't feel as private as it could be (as there were people living upstairs) and the price didn't seem to reflect the property size / quality. - There is a lack of kitchen supplies for a group of 6 e.g. no serving platters, salad bowls etc for group meals - It is advertised to accommodate 6 people, although the 5th bed is a small single bed in a tiny room and I'm not sure where a 6th rollaway bed could even fit. The bed isn't great for an adult. - It's disappointing you couldn't use the outdoor fireplace, particularly when there is wood sitting next to it. If it's for decorative purposes only, I would recommend closing it up more. The communication with the property owner was good and the location is beautiful.

The accommodation and surroundings were reminiscent of a retreat. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Photos are very accurate although the property is more stunning in person. We had a girls nye trip and had a great time! The house was lovely - decent bedrooms and enough fans. Pool was an absolute treat to relax at also! Would definitely stay again

We spent a lot of time around the amazing pool as our toddler loved it and we could relax ourselves knowing he was safe and happy. It was also a great place to chill out with our friends once the toddler was in bed! Walking access to Newport beach was also a bonus. Only negative was it being a hassle to carry all our stuff up and down the steps to reach the property but we knew to expect this from the listing details.

We loved the location. Close walk or drive to beach and shops. Amazing views overlooking Newport. Pool is incredible. Great entraining/bbq area. We had the bottom floor of the house so felt nice and private in our own space. Very comfortable house with everything you need. Street parking was tight if there is a few of you but there is a sports oval close by with stairs to the street so didn’t bother us at all. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The listing would make it seem as if this were an individual property. However the owners live directly above. While it says no shared spaces, you definately need to pass through their space to get to yours and you always have the feeling you are in someone else's space. Smile for the cameras. The top of stairs lead to a locked door which leads to the owners part of the house. We could not find the owners when we arrived just a bunch of passive aggressive notes and a set of keys. When I did interact with the owners I was greeted with "who are you?" Then after an awkward encounter we tried to sort out parking. The owners seemed to think it would be a good solution to their one car space would be to park me in... all night. Then it took 15 minutes to find them in the morning to leave. It's 35 minutes drive from the closest station, really far from anything really. Overpriced for what you get.

Taran & Luisa's place is absolutely stunning - beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped. We stayed as a group of seven for a colleague's wedding, and while the stairs down to the property were a bit of a challenge in heels, the view at the bottom was well worth it! The house backs straight onto a reserve so if you don't like lizards or creepy crawlies you might not want to hang out by the pool, but we didn't really have any problems. Parking was a bit tricky but we were prepared so carpooled. Taran and Luisa were a pleasure to deal with and very lovely to meet and have a chat too. We would really recommend staying at this property - we were sad to leave! Thanks for a great stay!

My family and I recently stayed at the Newport Beach Luxury property and we had such a lovely time! The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, blankets....we had everything we needed. The décor had a nice Bali retreat vibe which was nice. Louisa the owner of the property was very friendly and hospitable and a pleasure to talk to, no matter what our request, she and her partner were very helpful. Overall everyone had a blast and we enjoyed our stay......Would definitely stay here again :)

My girlfriends and I stayed here over the weekend! It was amazing! The pool was perfect, great balcony and living area! The location was fantastic, and so many nice restaurants and pubs around to go too. The only thing that was a small hassal was the parking, but we knew that and saved time by car pooling and parking one car just down the hill, only about a 5 min walk. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating ! Such good value for money too! Would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks :)

Wonderful place to stay neat and clean great views and had all that we required for a great stay

As a guest of 7 who stayed for a week, the stay had met its expectations, although had a couple of flaws which could be easily improved. For its price, it was affordable and of great value. It had an excellent beachside view, pool area, and had an amazing relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by nature: It's great if you're looking to relax for a weekend. Being situated directly next to a reserve, it also meant it would be surrounded with bugs and spiders absolutely everywhere. You could physically see that there are spider webs every corner, and that could be cleaned up easily. With so many windows opened, we would have a couple of nights where if you weren't careful you could accidentally step on a hunstman spider. In that sense, this isn't recommended for those who have arachnophobia or squeamish about insects. Lighting wasn't an issue but it was clear that if you did not watch your step at night, you could very well slip, especially in such a steep, hillside area. This also means that if you do not have a vehicle, or have a physical disability, this place is not recommended at all. In terms of location, its pretty good in terms of distance to the beach and town. Only a few minutes walk from each. The weather was excellent in the time of November 2016, pretty much 25-30 celcius for the entire duration which was awesome for the beach. However it is probably assumed that it would be very cold for the winter, and not recommended, as heating and cooling services were lacking. The town, although quite small, was pretty sustainable, and has most things that you could ask for. Newport had excellent restaurants, although limited range of selections and a little expensive if you're on a budget. Again, this would be great if you're only staying for a weekend, but noticeable when you're staying for a week. This, alongside other issues, cannot be helped by the hosts, but should be noted for other potential guests. Another one was one of the neighbours who would complain about essentially anything regardless of what time it was. One of my friends had accidentally parked his car that had inconvenienced the neighbours, and was essentially verbally abused when apologizing and moving his car. Other issues that should be disclosed is the lack of technology or recreation. For instance I mean, the complete absence of WIFI/internet connection or a television, which as a personal opinion would say that it's a necessity for a property in 2016 onward. No TV - On a week-end of football finals, very disappointing No Internet No Iron -- We came from Interstate to attend a wedding. An iron is usually an essential 4 towels provided for 5 people,-- not good enough. For a property advertised as "NEWPORT LUXURY", I thought these items would have been standard, as they are, in almost every other similar property In all the correspondence between myself and Stayz, there was no mention of the exact address. Innitially I thought that Newport Luxury may have been a landmark in Newport, but of course this is not the case, and the property woulld have been impossible to find otherwise. It was up to me through email to Stayz and then communication with owners. The first text was not answered, finally I had to make a call
