lovely hostess cute home bikable to everything if your kids can ride and the weather cooperates or uber everything worked mary responsive when we thought we locked ourselves out day 1 and was kind totally recommend

5 of us total, baggage storage location upon arrival, easy access to the house once the 4:00 check in time occurred, great location that made everything we wanted to do on the trip easy to access. Everything that was stated in the listing was accurate. Mary was so nice and accommodating, even offered to mail items that were left behind.

My three friends and I stayed for two nights in August and had a great time! The house had everything we needed and Mary was clear and timely in all her communications. Thanks Mary!

Second year in a row we’ve stayed here with the family, so we know what we’re getting. Location is a little out of town, but everything is very accessible by bike- beach downtown, Bartlett’s Farm (can’t be missed for sandwiches, pre made dinners, etc). Mary, the owner, is wonderful. A very relaxing place- we love it!

Great little house!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Mary was a wonderful host and her home was perfect for our family of 5. It has all the amenities of home, is near bike trails and not too far from town. We used Clyde’s cab to shuttle around when needed. We would whole heartedly recommend Mary’s home to anyone looking to stay on Nantucket.

Excellent time

We highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a place to stay on Nantucket! The location is great as well, minutes to the boat and to local shops grocery store etc.!! The hospitality and service you will receive at this home is top notch! I reached out asking if there was cable at the home, we were struggling to get it up and running( I am not a tech savvy person so I’m sure it was something super easy). Within seconds the homeowner reached out to tell us someone was on there way over. Within minutes the cable was up and running! The gentleman and son who showed up to take a look at the cable were super nice! Again I give this a 10 out of 10 for anyone that is looking for a place to stay

Very Charming and accomodating..

My friends and I stayed here for our friend’s wedding weekend. A lovely house, Mary was so communicative in the days leading up and the day of! Beautiful backyard with chairs to soak up the sun. Fully stocked kitchen as far as utensils, plates, cups, etc. 10 min walk to an adorable coffee and sandwich shop called Surfside

Wonderful family vacation! Great location to town and surfside beach You do need bikes as it is about a mile to town or you can always take an Uber. We hope to be back next year.

Peaceful location about 7 minutes by car from the hubbub of Nantucket. A car of some sort is necessary if you stay at this location. Although we didn’t bring our personal car, transportation was no problem. We took a taxi from the dock to the property upon arrival in Nantucket, and again when it was time to return to the mainland. We Uber’d to and from town at other times. And we even took the island shuttle once to see how it operated. We really loved this cottage overall. We agree we would book it again and found it better than staying in the midst of the very crowded Nantucket village.

When we arrived about 5PM the property had not been cleaned. Beds not made, dishes in sink, towels in bathroom, trash. Called owner. Sent cleaning person who arrived around 6PM - said would take 2 hours to clean. This was unacceptable as we were staying for just 1 night. Asked owner for refund - who said yes - and we found other accommodations. Mary called later and said to get a refund I needed to contact VRBO which I did. VRBO then told me the owner had to give the refund. Now Mary refuses to provide refund.

Classic Nantucket house in a great neighborhood

We always visit Nantucket every summer , unfortunately the Veranda House had a severe fire so we had to re book at the last minute . The property was in a great location , very nice quiet neighborhood close to Cisco beach and Bartlett Farms . My family had a wonderful stay and was gracious that the host Mary was able to accommodate my family of five !

Would absolutely stay here again. Property is conveniently located and just as described.

This was perfectly tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The house is a true antique, which is so charming! Easy to get to downtown via bike, which I would recommend renting on day one! We actually walked to the cottage off the ferry (with our luggage), doable, but I would never do that again 🤣 I would definitely stay here again!

Nice quiet location. Close enough to everything.

The entire experience was amazing! Unfortunately our trip was cancelled on the first night due to weather but our host Mary was so very easy to work with she’s a peach! We finally arrived and were taken back at the beauty of the island it’s pristine! The property was exactly what my family was looking for, off the beaten path but near everything at the same time. Once we pulled up to this cozy little bungalow we immediately fell in love! Quaint, clean, and private! We can’t wait to return to the island thank you Mary!

We enjoyed our 5 days on Nantucket at Mary’s property. The home was private and conveniently located both to town and many lovely beaches. We had a car which made getting around to the beaches easier (get your vehicle ferry reservation far in advance if you’re bringing a car!) but there is a shuttle system that works if you don’t have a car. House had what we needed - including an outdoor shower which we enjoyed! Mary was very responsive to questions as well! This is a great home if you want to get out of the hullabaloo of the main Nantucket village! Thanks Mary!

A nice quiet cottage for a small family stay. Everything we needed was available in the home to cook and relax. Beach chairs and cooler were available too - which was a bonus! Host was readily available to answer any questions. Nice area to bike around. We did rent a Jeep to get around town and used a taxi for trips downtown.

Mary’s home met our expectations for a girls getaway. Home was clean, huge kitchen and comfortable relaxing areas. Only disappointment was the main floor shower did not work and ladies on main floor had to use outside shower. Walk into town slightly greater than expected.

We were there for a short stay overnight. It was everything we needed. Looking forward to staying there again next year! Thanks Mary!
