This house was amazing. Never have we rented a house so fully stocked with everything we needed. Location was perfect. Easy walk to the beach. Outdoor shower was very convenient and the kids loved all the beach toys. Thank for a great getaway

Liz and David's property was absolutely amazing! We loved so much about it. It has everything you could ever need for the ideal beach vacation and more! Check in/out was easy, and Liz and David were very flexible. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet, functional, and located in a perfect spot! The walk to the beach access on Tennessee was great too, especially since a pedestrian crossing/warning is there to help you cross safely. It is only 352 steps from the driveway until your feet touch the beach sand by the lifeguard chair. The Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar are also right there, offering fun drinks and great food. Each bedroom is roomy and the beds were very comfortable. Having the option of ceiling fans throughout the house also helped circulate the air. The kitchen had every gadget, utensil, pot, pan, appliance, container, glass, etc. that we needed and more! Having access to a half bath in the very roomy and wide main floor hallway was great for visitors. It was also nice to have a full bathroom in both main bedrooms, as well as an additional full bathroom upstairs for the third bedroom and upstairs living area. The views from both porches allowed us to have a wonderful view of the ocean. The rockers on the porches also gave us a nice spot to sit and enjoy morning coffee. The parking area with the large table underneath the house was perfect for hanging out and escaping the sun. The outdoor shower and hose helped us to rinse off the ocean sand and helped to keep the inside of the house from getting sandy. There were six of us who stayed in the house, and there was plenty of room, even when our extended family came to visit during the day. The main living room/dining area is a little small to sit together for meals due to the design of the home (you can fit four people at the counter and four at the table). Everyone can fit at the table outside, underneath the house, but naturally you don't have the comfort of an air conditioned area. By no means would that be something that would keep us from renting again in the future. The home and Liz and David were fantastic. Thank you for helping us to create wonderful family memories in such a lovely home.

This was our second year staying in this house, and we've loved it so much we're already planning our stay for next year! Elizabeth has continued to exceed my expectations on communication and service. There are some great restaurants and bars nearby, and the proximity to the beach is GREAT...especially if you have little ones who are so tired from playing on the beach all day they need to be carried home. Don't worry, they'll perk up when it's time to walk down the street for ice cream and funnel cakes (it's a nightly tradition for us now).

Wonderful stay , there is so much room for privacy and an open area for family . We loved walking to the beach and to ice cream shop. The area under the house was a favorite to sit and dry off after beach . Family friendly with people walking , running ect . Great place .

We had a wonderful brief getaway to the beach. The home was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. It even had beach chairs and sand toys. It was such a short walk to the beach that it made it so easy. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This home was perfect in every way. Elizabeth provided everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay. The beach is a block away which was great. Highly recommend this home for anyone interested in staying in Carolina Beach.

The place was absolutely incredible! We were a group of moms looking to relax and get away and the house provided everything we needed and more! The host truly went above and beyond. I have stayed in many places and I will definitely be returning!

This rental was absolutely perfect! Super clean, one block from the beach, you can walk to the boardwalk and many restaurants. The house was furnished with everything you need to include beach chairs, towels and games. I highly recommend to anyone!

This is a great place. So close to the beach, walking distance to bars and restaurants, it’s an ideal location. The house has everything and Elizabeth was totally responsive to everything we needed. We loved our week there.

We had a great time staying here! We rented the house for a long weekend for a family vacation and it was perfect for everybody. We had ample room when we all wanted to be in the same room together but enough to be spread out when the little ones needed some down time. The house had everything we needed and the owners/managers were responsive.

Our family had a great time and stay at Elizabeth and David’s home! It was a quick walk to the beach, with two public beach access points to the left and right of the home - we towed 4 kids out there and no complaints on the walk from them. The home was comfortable, and the hosts had it well stocked with plenty of towels and essentials to get our trip started (it was nice not having to run to the store the minute we got there for basic essentials like toilet paper and paper towels). Furthermore, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for making meals at home, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the upper deck with the rocking chairs! Overall great stay and we would rent again!

Surprisedly, this was perfect place to stay and still be socially distanced. The home was very well stocked which meant we didn't have to make many trips to grocery stores. The walk to the beach was reasonable and the shower on the floor level is a game-changer!We hope to return in the future.

This was my first experience at a North Carolina beach and it was such a wonderful experience we plan on making it our annual vacation! The walk to the beach was painless even with a 2 year old! We loved the house , the kitchen was so well equipped. The owner responded immediately to my questions!

We were so pleased when we checked in to find that the home was very well equipped, including beach towels and beach gear and a well-stocked kitchen (Sharp knives! New coffee makers!). The property was lovely, very clean, and seemed to have been renovated or updated recently.

We loved, loved, loved this place! It was a great location and everything we needed was there. There were clear instructions for checking in and out and the owner always answered quickly when I did have questions! Definitely looking forward to coming back again!

Place is very clean and has lots of extras. Kitchen is well equipped. Owner was very responsive anytime I sent any text or emails. Great place to call “home” while on vacation!

We enjoyed a vacation with our family here and I cannot say enough about how lovely the home was. My husband and I had the master bedroom on the lower level and our children and grandchildren had the three upstairs bedrooms. Beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. It was truly like being at home. We had a short walk to the beach where we had so much fun. Though we brought our own, there were beach chairs, a wagon to carry things, beach toys and an umbrella. We ate most of our meals in and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. We used the grill one evening. There is even an ice cream maker. (Though there is a ice cream shop a short walk away.) We have vacationed in many houses before and there one was the best.

Place and owner response was great prior to check-in and then on the day of check-out (3 night stay), the owner stopped communicating. I heard from her 5 days later after I wrote her 3 messages about us leaving a few extra items and putting laundry in the wash, and she came back with an over-exaggerated account of us being filthy (exact words were we left feces on the toilet brush, maggots in the trashcan, candy in the carpet, soda on sofa, we didn't use towels because we wiped our hands on the dining chairs), and she had reports of smoking (not to mention a rather suspicious comment that her outside camera showed people smoking if that is not against the law to spy). What is pretty incredible is that we were all adults, mostly athletes who never smoke, do not drink sodas and certainly do not eat candy - how can we be accused of something we don't do? We did find an empty cigarette box on the patio and threw it away and can swear that no one was smoking. She even said her neighbors saw people smoking so not sure what house they were looking at? We also as adults know how to use a towel and paper towels and cannot even comment on the toilet brush. It's such an outlandish comment and can say that I don't check toilet brushes at houses, but I guess I'll have to start doing that now. I honestly don't know what we did to upset her so much, we are not bad people nor did we trash her place as she claims. We've stayed in much nicer places all over the world and never had a bad review. What is concerning is that how could she be so responsive everyday up until the day we left and then she couldn't even talk to us. The timing doesn't seem right. I am writing this post because I am certain she has smeared our profile and I think everyone deserves to know all sides of the story. Believe what you want, but if you do stay, take pictures of everything and be prepared. We certainly were.

Felt like a home away from home! Very spacious, and very clean. Was welcomed with a nice note from the owners, and immediately felt at home. Would recommend for a family looking for a relaxing getaway, with an at-home feel!

Elizabeth is a fantastic host and Sandy Heels is an excellent home base for your adventures in and around Carolina Beach. The house is well stocked and you will be find everything you need to relax inside the house and at the beach.

House was clean and roomy for my entire family. We loved all of the parking areas which game us room to play cornhole under the house. The kitchen is well stocked and the pantry was a plus. When we arrived there was toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent to get us started. Would stay there again!
