The space it's self was just ok, but I probably wouldn't stay again. Being an upstairs apartment the bathroom is super small( I'm 6 foot and hot my head Everytime I stood up from the toilet. Multiple light switches were missing knobs making it difficult to turn the lights on and off. The queen bed was hard as a rock and the bedroom door didn't latch closed so it would swing in the breeze and hit making noise all night long, I just propped it open but if I had other people staying with me it would want to be to close the door tight. Getting in was easy, not having parking was a slight pain in the neck but manageable.

Quirky place , a little rough around the edges, but clean and well equipped. Parking is the main drawback but offset by the location in the middle of all the shops. Noisy in the am due to all the shops.

Perfect location on Bearskin Neck. Apartment was neat and clean and located in the heart of Rockport. It was an easy walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

Even though we had some cloudy, rainy days it was a great week. Location is perfect, and parking was pretty easy after 5:30 PM.

Loved the character and location of this apartment in charming seaside artsy/touristy Rockport. Once we got used to knock of ice cream scoop (afternoon hours in store below) we had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay. Beth (remote owner) and John (ice cream store) were both really nice, responsive and accommodating.

This house is right in the heart of it and super nice and cozy. Everything is there and exactly as described and depicted in the add. We loved our stay and would come back anytime. It is equipped with everything ones need. A big plus is the reserved parking space right by the house, that was awesome. Communication with owner was fast and easy. Wonderful little place!!

Great little apartment in the heart of Rockport. Super clean. I loved all the shops and Roy Moores was minutes away. I thought I wouldn't mind having to park my car away from me. It was more of a 10 minute walk a little further away than I would have liked. That is the only downside for myself, but definitely wouldn't give less ratings because of parking.

This was the perfect place to stay in Bearskin Neck. It was in the heart of this fishing village, and not to mention the ship below sells the best cupcakes and by far the creamiest ice cream ever! These hosts are the nicest people! It was a perfect space for our family of 4. The locals are so nice they can tell you all of the great hidden places to visit. Don’t hesitate to book this place if you plan to visit Rockport, Gloucester, or Salem. You will not regret it!

Great location in the middle of everything, everything is walkable. Wished there was closer parking but even that wasn't difficult as long as you can walk without assistance.

Perfect location for shopping and eating walking to the ocean, how to park car in the neighborhood but it was fine we got to look at the beautiful homes

We had a great visit. If you’re not up for parking and walking back, this property is not for you. We really enjoyed the location and our ability to pop out to grab ice cream, a cup of chowder etc. There are great views of the water from most of the rooms and we appreciated that there was A/C units and fans available on a surprisingly humid September weekend. WiFi didn’t seem to want to work but it didn’t matter since we weren’t in the unit much during our stay.

People are amazing in Gloucester and bearskin neck. We had 3 women and had a fantastic time. Coming from Utah we arrived a day early but found a hotel in Danvers for the he night. Would not recommend a group over 4. Small living space to just hang out. We enjoyed our stay there. Was not cleaned.

Old, stained, falling apart, and broken furniture. We were told in the key email to make sure the shower curtain is closed cause it LEAKS water into the cupcake shop below. Air conditioner LEAKS water onto floor gets rug wet to which I stepped in and had to change my socks. Cupcake shop owner is rude. You will share your entry and exit door with the cupcake owner. Long story short my elderly mother was yelled at by him. My mom is the sweetest and it was highly uncalled for. Cupcake shop has loud blaring music on until 9:30 pm. You also hear their loud food processor and knocking noises. You will be told to wash towels, linens, and bath mat before you leave. This basically henders your travel plans for heading out early like we needed to do. No rental should hender your travel plans like that. The owner even has a housekeeper come in and clean. The living room only has a fan in it so it gets really hot in there. We mostly stayed in the bedrooms for cool air. We also had to go buy ice as there are no ice trays in the freezer. Parking is a nigtmare as the 5 mins away feels exactly like 5 mins away. You will drive through the sea of people walking, they don't like to move out of the way. The owner is nice and responsive but that does not make up for all that is lacking. Basically, we paid $1600.00 for rude neighbor interactions, leaking items, and broken stained furniture. Not to mention these things are not represented in the listing. Some furniture in the listing photos is not even in the rental. I find it highly convenient to disclose LEAK issues days before arrival within the key email when we cannot back out of the agreement as no refund would be issued. It's not an ethical listing as it's not how it was conveyed prior to purchase. We tried to find a hotel and just eat the cost, but everything was booked. I have been using VRBO since 2014 and this was the most disappointing rental I ever stayed at. Save yourself the headaches and find another place to stay. Imagine driving for 19 hours and spend that kind of money to be presented with undisclosed information of your vacation investment.

Convenient, clean, and cozy apartment in the heart of downtown Rockport. Host was amazing and very responsive. Will definitely be returning!

Rating would be a 3.5, but not an option. The property is small and if you are over 6'2" the bathroom might be a challenge. Parking is definitely at a premium so if you travel with more than 1 vehicle find the free street parking. Linens were comfy on the beds but glad we brought our own towels. Lots of extra pillows but no extra pillow cases. Beth was very responsive with questions. Bring your own tissues. Instructions said to wash/dry/fold towels prior to 10 AM checkout but no information as to where the washer/dryer were.
