Our week at Rose Retreat was exactly what our family of 12 needed to rest, relax, laugh and just be together. We had plenty of room to roam and the kids play. The property was set up nicely to allow back and forth to the beach, swim and have lots of yard space for the the kids to run and play hide and seek all week. The owners were very responsive and attentive. They have made a nice homey space for all to enjoy. We enjoyed Hulls Seafood, Riptides, Hershey's Ice Cream, Pirates Cove Golf Adventure, Rose Villa Restaurant and of course Tipsy Taco right across the street. Although it didn't deter us at all, we didn't like cars being allowed on the beach. With small kids, this was something we weren't expecting to have to watch for all of the time. Also, go our early and set up your beach space or locals park right in front of the house. Great place for a big family. Would highly recommend.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this charming beach home, built in 1947, for our family vacation with 11 people. The home consisted of a main house with 4 bedrooms and an apartment over a detached garage, which was just perfect for our group. The pictures showing the history of the home were a fun addition that gave the property a unique and nostalgic charm.
One of the standout features of the property was the private pool, which offered a refreshing retreat after our beach days. Speaking of the beach, the home’s location was unbeatable – directly on the beach, allowing us to enjoy the ocean view and easy access to the sand and surf.
The owners, Mary and Al, provided exceptional service. They met us at the property during check-in to show us around and ensure we had everything we needed. Throughout our stay, they checked in a few times to see if we required anything else and to remind us of important details like trash day.
Our entire group had an amazing time, and we can't wait to visit this beautiful property again. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at the Rose Retreat for our family beach week. Al and Mary were perfect hosts, great communicators and thought of every detail. The gourmet kitchen is totally renovated and had plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils to cook with and serve a large group, coffee maker, tea kettle, blender. The bedrooms were large, super comfy beds and pillows, soft cozy linens. Air conditioning was great. Plenty of bathrooms and an apartment over the garage for our cousins. One of the reasons we originally chose RR is the certified handicap bedroom and bath for Grammy and Poppy. Perfect! One of the cleanest properties we've stayed at both inside and out. We all enjoyed the outside table and the pool. Unlike other properties the pool is serviced twice during our visit. The landscaping and location of the house was very private. We called it the compound! The house was built in 1940...very nostalgic with all the old photos. Had the feeling we were on Cape Cod. Bathrooms had the retro tile but with modern features. Al put new windows in. Couldn't hear traffic, motorcycles, anything. Two different laundry facilities for beach towels and clothes. I miss sitting by the porch window in the morning drinking my coffee and looking for dolphins. Guess we'll just have to come back next year!

We had a multigenerational group of 11 people (23 - 72 yrs old) and had the most amazing stay at Rose Retreat! Communication with Al and Mary was great. The house and suite were clean. Our favorite part of it was all the different gathering places inside the home. Plenty of space for everyone. Thank you for everything!

The house on the beach was great. We took advantage of the winter deal. That made up for a few of the shortcomings of an older property. The house is full of nostalgic charm. The sound of the ocean at night was an amazing way to fall asleep. I think a few maintenance upgrades and this place would be perfect. Al was great to Deal with. Not sure if the fee to heat the pool was worth it. It was pretty cold to be honest. But you can’t have it all. I would recommend this place solely for the location in the beach. There were 4 is us guys down there for the Rolex race and it fit our needs. You never know unless you try. Thanks Al for the place. It added to our great weekend.

This is a great place. It’s really the only house for a long time that is actually right on the beach.

The property is in a great location on the beach close to restaurants and food stores. We had 8 adults and 2 children. We planned to celebrate a 75 th birthday party as well as visit with family members living in the area. The house accommodated everyone and everything we did. The pool was a huge success and the beach was fantastic. The seperate apartment was perfect for us as we slept in a little longer then the younger children. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone with children of any age. The pool and the beach are perfect. There is also a miniature golf course across the street.

Literally on the beach! You don’t need a golf cart or wagon. Pop up canopy was in the garage and we set it up on the beach every morning. Played in the waves until we had enough sand and seashells and then back to the large private pool. Very nice and well stocked kitchen with huge island for feeding our group of 13. We never felt the need to leave the property, although we did for arcade on a cool windy day. Ice cream and souvenirs too!

My husband and I along with 2 friends stayed for a week. Property had been damaged some from storms but owners were working very hard to make everything nice and accommodating still. House is dated but still nice. I would only suggest tub/ shower areas need updating, rather than quick fixes. Property location and view are wonderful. Pool was soo nice to have. This property would be great for large families.

We had an amazing week here, the view is second to none. It felt very private even though it was located in a busy area.
Al and Mary were very helpful, we had an issue with one of the showers during our visit and Al was there to help within 20 minutes.

Had a great family vacation. Steps from the beach.
We had a wonderful family vacation, just steps to the beach, lots of pool toys for the kids, lots of chairs for the adults. Inside game if you needed them but we spent all day outside mostly. Lots of room for everyone. We had a group of 13. Highly recommend this property.

Heaven on Earth!
Can't say enough good things about this property! Excellent location, clean, large enough to easily accommodate 9 adults and 3 children. The pool was a nice bonus. The home was stocked with many spices, coffee, shampoo, and conditioner so you don't need to bring or buy those items. The location is great and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the Tipsy Taco across the street. Al and Mary were excellent hosts and very responsive. Do not hesitate to book this property.

Exactly as stated and so much fun for the entire family. Mary and Al were so nice they wanted to meet the entire family 11 of us before we left. Relaxing beach stay
Our family had a relaxing 4 night stay on the beach after a busy week at Disney. The beach views were amazing; just as described! The spaces for dining and sleeping were perfect for our group of 10! Al and Mary were very responsive and so friendly!

Getaway Wedding Venue
I had my wedding ceremony on the front lawn just foot steps from the sand. While the home also housed the wedding party. It was a perfect location with all the amenities one would need for an event or family gathering. I highly recommend this lovely property for anyone looking for a private home on the beach yet still in walking distance from food and shopping!

Amazing
There are not adequate words to express how wonderful our stay here was. We had 5 adults and 6 children ranging in age 0-17. Everyone in our party had the best time ever! We know we found a winner when the property can accommodate such a variety of needs. The layout of the property was amazing in that everyone could get together or spread out and have their own space. We did not feel cramped or on top of each other. Al and Mary are wonderful hosts. They went over everything at check in and called to follow up with us before and during the stay. They pay attention to the smallest of details here to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We walked in and felt at home immediately. The house is older, but clean and comfortable. Think vintage. We loved it! The outside area is the best we have ever experienced on our beach trips. There is a spot for everyone. The views never get old. Anything you would need for the perfect beach trip is within steps or a very short drive. A few things I wanted to mention because I wonder about them when searching for a property: the beds are very comfortable; the plumbing, AC, hot water, etc. all work very well; there are plenty of towels, beach items, games, puzzles, dishes, pans, etc for use. Everything down to the soap is good quality and they give you ample supply for all your needs. We are so happy we chose this property for our family trip and are excited to return. Thank you Al & Mary!

Not worth it
Not happy. Not worth the price. The house is dirty, the neighborhood is scary and hood. Next to motels. The house has no privacy. Mold in pool and jacuzzi. Located in a public beach. Very dangerous and random people walk up to the house. We had to leave early and the owners will lie and say the house is clean and deny everythjng when confronted. Overpriced. Dirty. Disorganized and just disrespectful price to pay for this house.

Family vacation 2021
This property was perfect for our family vacation, had everything we needed for the beach, and for our guests. The owners were so easy to get a hold of, and immediately responded to any questions we had. Convenient to so many restaurants and shops. Also a quieter location, so less tourists on the beach. Definitely would love coming back to this beach house.

Perfect Beachfront Location
This is a great property for a large family or group of friends to spend a few relaxing days without going very far. Beach is steps away or lounge by the pool. Very well equipped property so catering in for large group is no problem. Hosts are great to work with. Thoroughly recommend this location

We had a wonderful time at the Rose Retreat. What else could you ask for with ocean front property , a pool & a hot tub. So relaxing and the view is amazing. We had a small issue with the hot tub but the property manager and the owner took care of it right away. We hope to return in the future.

Great Place
The location on the beach, with a pool, and big yard to hang out couldn’t be more perfect. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The house is nicely updated. The pool does cost around $200 to heat for a week, which is not initially obvious. Overall very happy with the space and our experience!

This property is wonderful. Our group had a great time. The house is really nice inside and the grounds are well kept. The pool is really great and having the ocean front is even better. Would stay her again. The property manager and owners are very helpful and easily accessible. Hope others enjoy this property as much as we did.

Amazing
Best vacation of my life! The property was perfect for our family , the sleeping arrangements were perfect , all the kids and grandkids in the house and my husband and I in the bonus room above the garage , the ocean and the pool kept our energetic boys busy all week , along with the video games ! the view and the sound of the ocean are so relaxing, the house is beautiful and the history of the house in pictures was interesting, we had everything we needed, it was amazing , hopefully we will return every year !!!!!
