Everything about this spot was as expected. It was clean when we arrived. Plenty towels in the bath (and decent water pressure and immediate hot water!). Plates, silverware, pots, etc, in the kitchen. It was cozy and exactly what we were looking for. The only drawbacks were a very strong smell that had me opening the windows immediately upon entering and the bed was terrible. The mattress was worn out and I kept waking up in the center of the bed at the lowest point. The bed and smell weren't bad enough to keep me from returning, but something I would note to anyone thinking of staying there. I LOVED not having a list of cleaning duties like at all other homes I've stayed at. Overall, I recommend it this cute home. Thanks to the Meyers family for a pleasant weekend away.

This was a beautiful place to stay! The loft was lovely, clean, beautifully appointed, with peaceful surroundings. We would definitely stay here again. On a scale of 1-10 this one is a 10! Thanks for a great weekend.
P.S. check out the Laughing Horse Saloon in nearby Thompsonville. Sit at the bar. Food, drinks and staff are great.

We were looking for somewhere off the grid to vacation for our anniversary, cat in tow, and George's Hilltop was perfect. Very clean, simple but comfortable surroundings, beautiful countryside - overall it was just what we needed.

This is a great little place to stay at. Perfect location, plenty of space and it has a nice little backyard for dogs or just hanging out. Very cozy and clean, looking forward to staying here again.

We have stayed at this place for several times and doesn't disappoint. We love how it's far away from other houses and with our pets, we don't have to worry about other people being around us.

My husband, dogs and i stayed for 4 nights. We loved the large, open backyard. The home was clean, and stocked with everything you need. The trail behind the house was a bonus, we walked it every morning with the pups! Definitely recommend this property. Thank you!

Stair rail on porch had two sharp screws sticking out that my wife caught her T-shirt on.

I took my fiancé to sleeping bear dunes for his birthday and he loved it. Decided to book this place, we was satisfy of the outcome. it was clean ,small, nice, and quite just for us. loved the nature and the trail walks, we will definitely go back.

My friends and I wanted to venture and explore the Sleeping Bear Dunes and Northern Michigan for a few days but didn't want to be directly in Traverse City. This stay was peaceful, private, and perfectly located for us. When I had a question, Dusty, the owner, responded in no time which was incredibly nice. The property was beautiful, clean, and even more than what we expected. We will definitely stay again if we come back.

We went skiing every day and this place was great to come back to. The washer and dryer were a nice touch and the walking trails on the property were nice for walking the dog around. We will be staying again.

This was a great spot to use as a basecamp for exploring the Traverse City area with my husband and 2 dogs. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and the yard was great for the dogs to run around. I recommend checking out Iron Fish Distillery!

Comfortable space for oulolocatr family of four and our two dogs. Had everything we needed to enjoy Northwest Michigan area! Quiet location. Our dogs also had a great time on the properties trails! Will hope to visit again.

My sister got married at Crystal Mountain resort. Having a two year old, I wanted something with a kitchen, and I wanted to stay in the same place Thursday- Monday as packing and unpacking is quite a job with a toddler, and I couldn't find that at the resort. There is an amazing walking trail on the property from which you can see the ski lift at the resort, which is a short drive away. Over the weekend, I learned that the resort is so big, you have to drive from place to place on it anyway and I thought the little bit of driving I had to do to get there was pretty comparable to the driving my sister had to do on the resort to get from her townhouse to the wedding ceremony and reception. Plus I had a much bigger and more private yard for my dog. I definitely ended up with the best place and deal of all my family, some of which drove 1/2 an hour from their hotels to the wedding. For being so small, I was surprised that not only did it have everything I needed but also plenty of space for everything I packed. No complaints at all!

The property was clean and neat. The trail on the property was so nice and they also left a little firewood for us. Overall, our experience was excellent!

Lovely experience
We had a wonderful time staying here. We had a nice spring day and turned off the heat to open the windows for a minute, and there were some paper towels stuffed in the screen that smelled a little bit smoky, and some of the linens smelled a little bit smoky. But other than that and a few issues below, everything was perfection.
There was a problem with figuring out the small trash bags.
There was no detergent for the laundry that I could find, but we borrowed a pinch from a friend so it was all good.
The hot water only lasted 30 minutes so it was hard to wash dishes, laundry, and shower in one morning.
The property was clean and we'll stocked and kept.
The property was delightful, and they were open to accepimg our sweet kitty to visit too.
We had a blast and would love to return.

A short summer vaca
What a lovely property! It was just myself and my 12yr old Lab! The apartment was very clean& comfortable. The weather was really hot so we did our excursions in the early hours and relaxed indoors in the afternoons with the a/c. It does get a bit warm in the bedroom since the a/c is in the livingrm but I put the box fan at the bedroom door so that& the ceiling fan kept the air circulating. We visited Arcadia Dunes, the pedestrian bridge over the Manistee River, two lighthouses, Interlochen State Park, and several wineries north of Traverse City. We sat outside in the shade a few days. It’s a bit buggy…..lots of gnats…..so bring spray. No fires in the pit. Too warm. Adequate pots/pans & dishes etc. Lotsa towels. We also loved the mowed foot paths for walking. Thanks Dusty!

Perfect Stay
George's retreat made for a comfortable stay. Perfect location to many nearby attractions. The grounds are beautiful. Great outdoor seating area with a fireplace. We'd stay there again.

Amazing property
My wife and I took our 14 month old son and dog up here for the weekend while my brother and I attended the Cherry Roubaix bike race at Crystal Mountain. The proximity to Crystal Mountain allowed us to ride our bikes to/from the event. Our dog loved sniffing around on the trails they have mowed in the back of the property. The apartment was very clean and welcoming. The space was perfect for our small family plus my brother. The hosts were very acommadating. Thanks again!
