This is a great house with great amenities on a great little no wake cove. We loved it. The house itself is clean and well kept with more than enough room for 8 of us (6 adults + 2 teens). The basement ping pong and other games entertained us thru the week. Plenty of eating area inside and out. But the dock is the star. Fifty feet at most from the house. Awesome space to hang out, swim, have a beer (if that’s your thing:), relax and read a book, or take out the boat (gotta rent your own). And the provided kayaks and SUPs were very nice and easy to use with the small beach area. The no wake cove was very relaxing and safe for everyone to swim around. If there were any minor quibbles, the AC in the main floor bedrooms was a little weak with bedroom doors closed (but totally manageable) and the grill probably needs a deep clean after a summer of use, but seriously these are MINOR quibbles. We would happily stay here again and are already plotting how to make that work for next summer. A wonderful house. Thank you!

We had a great time at the property. The house is a great fit for our family. The hosts are very responsive and message back very promptly if you were to have any questions. We have so much fun at the dock swimming and using paddleboards. There is the boat rental very close by also if you are looking into renting a boat. The sandy beach area is great for our kids that are in the 6-9 year old range. We had a great stay!

We enjoyed another wonderful stay at Sunshine Cove, Lake Anna! Megan and Dan are excellent hosts and were easy to communicate with any questions or information about the home. The home is well appointed and very comfortable for our family thanksgiving. Excellent location with a great dock area and beautiful views of the lake! I highly recommend Sunshine Cove if you're looking to stay on Lake Anna!

We spent the majority of our time at the dock swimming, floating, kayaking, fishing and watching football. I would highly recommend, and we will be back for sure. Thanks for hosting us Dan & Megan.

The house was laid out perfectly. Lots of indoor and outdoor space. The boathouse was roomy and allowed us to have 2 boats and 2 jet skis for the week. We spent everyday there…swimming, kayaking, and just jumping in the water. Nice quite cove but less than a minute to the open lake. House was very clean and suited our family perfectly. Thank you for having us!

My fourth stay at Sunshine Cove and we still love it! We rented a boat for most of our time there and as we looked at other houses on the lake we kept saying over and over how ideal "our" dock was in comparison to the others we saw. Already looking to book again :)

This was our 4th time staying at this house. It is the perfect house for our family. Walk down to the lake is an easy walk for my 80 year old parents. The new steps to climb out of the lake was a great improvement. They are more like steps instead of the ladder they use to have. House is always clean and has everything we need. Megan and Dan always respond to any questions we have quickly. Already booked for summer of 2024!

Great place to stay! We loved all the room on the boat dock. The home and property was well maintained and clean. Plus the use of the kayaks and paddle boards were a great feature also. We’re hoping to make it back again next year we enjoyed it that much!

Lovely property and home. We enjoyed lounging on the dock and with an 8 mo old baby with us it was a nice protected area for him to crawl around. We adults especially liked the bar and fridge to keep our snacks and beverages in. We only wish the rack holding the water vessels wouldn’t have been on the beach. We have four grandchildren who wanted to play in the sand and that was in the way. We loved the screened in porch and the rec room in the basement. If we would have known how private it was we would have brought the kid’s bikes. The only complaint we would have is the barking dog next door and the bugs on the outside of the patio door. Other than that, and the couple days of rain ☔️ 😩 we had a wonderful time!!!!

Had a wonderful time with kids and grandkids over spring break (they're teachers). Weather was unseasonably warm this time of year so we really got to enjoy the boathouse and kayaks. The owners have all the bells and whistles outside. Thought of all the details ... which our Type A family fully appreciated. Everyone loved it!

We live a few hours away from Lake Anna and have never been before so we decided to make a long weekend stay and we’re not disappointed! The house was spacious for our family of seven and had plenty of things to do. We weren’t able to enjoy the dock too much as the weather was cold but we did get to try a little fishing and hang out on the dock. We had a blast playing each other in ping pong and sitting by the fireplace. We plan on returning in the summer!

We had a group of 6 adults. Property was wonderful and located in a fabulous community. Private and secure. All house amenities were as described and we enjoyed our time immensely. Beds were comfortable in the rooms that we used and the kitchen is stocked with anything you may need!

We loved our weekend away at this property! The house was well furnished, beds super comfortable, and kitchen had everything we needed. The dock and view by the water was perfect from morning peaceful coffee watching the bald eagles hunt to the afternoon with kids paddle boarding and fishing. Location for parking a boat from the nearby marina (5min away) to explore all of lake Anna was also just ideal. Thank you and we’ll for sure be back!

This property is perfect for our family ages 8 to 82. We love Lake Anna and this house is exactly what we need. We love the deck, the dock, the fire pit. Great hosts!

We stumbled upon Lake Anna in a last minute search for a waterfront getaway within 5-6 hours from NJ. We were pleasantly surprised with Sunshine Cove and Lake Anna, VA. This property provided us with waterfront relaxation, water sports and activities for all 8 of us including 4 early teen boys, non-stop fun and floating around our cove and fishing.
I highly recommend renting a boat, jet ski or access to a canoe/kayak, because this lake offers so much for your group to explore. The water is warm, clean and very calm.
The house can easily fit 12 people and was very comfortable for our group.
We can't wait to come back and explore more of Lake Anna.

This was my second time staying here. The place is fantastic. Plenty of room for my family. Really enjoyed all the extras that Megan and Dan provided. Kitchen was well stocked. Communication with owners was great. Already booked next year!

Perfect rental home
Very well maintained house. This house has everything you could need. Owners are very easy to deal with. The dock is amazing! Will be coming back for the fourth straight year in 2023!

Something for everyone. Quiet corners(especially the boat house)Dining space for the whole family on the screened porch. Toys (land and water) for all ages. Beautiful views in all directions. A wonderful place for a family gathering.

We, a party of 6 adults (60), had a bit of an issue with the cleanliness condition upon arrival, but the owners were quick to respond, and take care of most issues.
Do note that the second king on master is 2 twins strapped together. Also, no TV. No TV in upstairs bedrooms, either.
If you are a light sleeper, you may hear a lot of foot steps, and the sliding door from the spacious downstairs suite.
I guess you must keep in mind that this is a Large Lake House, so its difficult to clean every area, and by the lake webs and bugs are hard to control.
All being said, we would probably visit again or recommend it to our friends. We had a lot of fun on the dock, and I think this is the perfect place for a family with kids, etc. A lot of activities, games, etc.
The immediate area, there didn't seem like there was any place to go. The nearest country store (country gas station mart) 15 min. away, best to stop at Food Lion, before getting to house, for food and essentials (30 min)
Beds, towels, linens, all comfy.

This was the best experience ever for my family and I. Our adult kids and grandkids had such an awesome time on the lake. It was our first visit to Lake Anna but won’t be our last. Sunshine Cove was perfect for EVERYONE! The games, the rooms, especially the dock. We loved the hummingbird feeder!! Our 3 yr old granddaughter called then honey birds!!

Great Vacation
Beautiful home at a wonderful location. The sandy area and the easy access to the water was great for the 2 and5 year old. The water amenities were super. We used the SUPs and kayaks. We rented a boat for the week which was easily tied to the boat house.
Indoor activities were abundant. The weather we had was fantastic so we only used the ping pong table and the WII. Never got to use the many board games, the foosball or basketball game.Great place, highly recommended and if I could get all the family together, we would do it again

We had a wonderful time at Sunshine Cove! With three families, including 3 children, there was plenty of space for us to be. The kids loved the sandy area and the deep water to jump in off the dock. The house was fully stocked and the kayaks and SUP boards got used daily! The cove is very secluded and we had little interaction with any boats, so we felt it was a very safe place for the kids to swim. We loved lake Anna and hope to return in the near future!

Beautiful home in an excellent location. No traffic on the water being in a cove and our grandchildren enjoyed all the water sports safely. We loved it so much our young grandchildren can't wait to go back.

Wow! This house is GREAT! Our extended family enjoyed everything about this place! There was a lot of space to accommodate all, the view of the lake is beautiful, the boat house was delightful, and the kitchen had everything we needed. All of the little extras were greatly appreciated (starter paper towels, dish soap, etc).We had little ones and the gentle slope at the water's edge was perfect for them. The water temperature was refreshing and the cove the home is located on was very quiet, calm and peaceful. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and we were very grateful for the use of the paddleboards and the kayak. The owners were easy to reach and were quick to respond. If we come back to Lake Anna, there is no other place I would even look at! Sunshine Cove had it all! Thanks Dan and Megan for sharing your home with us!! Wow! Wow! Wow!
