It was a great stay. Beautiful property, very clean and had great communication. Only issue we had it there was no propane for the fire place.

We rented this property for our wedding weekend, and it did not disappoint. The house was very clean. The house and property were beautiful.

This is a really nice place. Directions are a little tricky not being from the area. Google doesnt find the address. Really close and convenient to town yet you feel as though your in the deep wilderness. Light switches were tricky to figure which went to what lights. All and all it was a great place to stay. Gary was very quick to answer any questions we had. It would be nice if the pans were easier to clean or maybe a big no stick one for frying. The driveway is tight if your pulling a boat. Ours is 18 ft we did manage but anything bigger probably won't. There is room at the beginning of the drivay to park a bigger boat. Gary did disclose that it would be tight when we made the reservation. The house has some really nice pictures on the walls too.

We picked this property because it seemed to be right in the middle of everything we wanted to do and it was! 1.5 hours to Mackinac island and Sleeping Bear Dunes and 45 min to Traverse City! Plus downtown Belaire was fun too! Beautiful scenery and very quiet at the house. Great getaway.

Very quiet, spacious and affordable! Not far from torch lake! The cabin has just about everything you'll need for a time away with family or friends.

If you want to be away from the crowds and tucked away in the woods, this is the place for you. Great for star gazing and relaxing.

We enjoyed this tucked away house with a view that makes the evening sunsets breathtaking. Great for our families week away. Bellaire was a great little town to visit and parks that are must to check out with winery and breweries along the way. The drive is gated and the driveway is winding, but isolated to only three homes. The kitchen and deck are great for visiting. If you plan on cooking in home it’s great for the master chef, but limited for multiple cooks in the kitchen. Nice size and clean rooms. Bathrooms looked clean and good size. The house has limited yard space but offered a fire pit below the upper deck. We enjoyed the gas fire pit and grill! When arriving the garbage disposal was leaking and Gary was quick to answer and shared solutions. Great time!!!!!!

Nice place. Secluded in the back of a hilly, private (gated) area. Two bed rooms on the main floor, one with twin additional bunkbeds. Upstairs had a spacious bedroom with private bathroom and a great shower. There is an additional bed upstairs (open to the rest of the house) Plenty of clean sheets, towels, paper towel, toilet paper. All appliances and dishes (no keurig but there is a coffee maker. The deck had a nice view (could use some upgrading ). Basement has extra space with a few couches and a tv; a foosball table; no bedroom. Overall, happy with the stay. Have to travel for sight seeing and eating but there is a grocery store 5 mins away. Downtown Bellaire has a creamery, a few bars and shops, casual American dining. For more action, Traverse city is less than an hour. Nice scenic driving between towns.

This property is AMAZING with stunning views. Gary was very responsive and helpful. Our daughter left her blanket there and he allowed us to go back to the house and grab it. The house has everything you need to have a great time! Highly recommend this house.

Great house, great time with family! Close to wedding venue and Bellaire for a little shopping and lunch at “Shorts brewery”.

The house was clean and had all the needed amenities to make the stay comfortable. There are great views of the horizon and trees off the back deck. We brought our three dogs and it was a perfect spot for them in the woods away from other neighbors. Very close to Schuss Mountain and 35 minutes to Boyne Mountain. Downtown Bellaire is less than 5 miles away.

Great stay, enjoyed visiting with family, skiing at Schuss Mountain, and snow shoeing on the trails at this cabin. Owner was very responsive. Very nice property!

It was great my only comment is that it was more like 13-15 minutes to a schuss the accommodations where great !

This property is as advertised and if your looking for peace and quiet, but close to everything, look no further.

This place was absolutely awesome, way back in the woods with no neighbors that was only minutes from downtown bellaire. Super close to torch lake and you can get just about anywhere from here. The house was awesome, set up really well, and clean. Perfect getaway!!!

My week's stay at Gary's family chalet was too short. :) A perfect retreat with awesome views, many upgrades (the basement is coming out awesome so far! Didnt notice that til I was leaving,) Peace, beauty, great sleep, great vibes, good AC, many beds, many wild animal visits, tucked behind a horse farm, would return in a minute, and will. Such a great spot for sensitive people who love quiet and nature. And for families. Easy check in, easy to ask Gary any questions, he's so nice, just an awesome, easy place. Loved it. Or stay was excellent. The location was perfect and the house itself was very nearly maintained.

We love this spot where we have a beautiful view and can go for walks in the woods with our pup right behind our back yard! Yet so close to Bellaire shops and Shorts of course. The house is wonderful, the only suggestion is for more serving and mixing bowls, as we made meals in the house and were missing these. Thanks so much for another great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, and I would recommend this home to others. We already talked about renting again in the future! It is very clean and well furnished. There was plenty of room to sleep - the kids enjoyed the loft area. :) We went for 3 nights to go ski at Shanty. The home is conveniently located near Shanty Creek for skiing and only a couple minutes from downtown Bellaire. The only things that were possibly negative were the windy hilly road coming in (only because the ice made it tricky getting in and out but we managed with 4 wheel drive SUVs and were prepared for this since it’s clearly described in the listing), well water for drinking (so bring your own if you’re not a fan - there is a local grocery store conveniently within a couple miles that has everything you need!) and the bath towels in the cabinets all seemed to have bleach stains (but the towels hanging on the hanger were beautiful). The bathrooms are beautiful, the location is quiet and remote yet surprisingly convenient to town, the view is gorgeous, the TV was great, everything was well-stocked for our stay. We loved it and thank you to the owner for having it so clean and comfy. Merry Christmas!

Gary was very accessible and helpful with any questions. House was very clean. Pictures don’t show nice bathrooms and great deck. Few concerns were the need to bring water for consumption. One queen bed is actually a mattress set on top of a futon that can tip and one queen bed is extremely broke in.

Beautiful getaway up in the hills. The house was perfect for what we needed, and was stocked with everything you could ever need. The property was clean, and the view is amazing. Located close to town for ease of access and near all the lakes you will want to visit. Highly recommend!!

Very nice place. The only thing I could suggest is there be a lock on bathroom and bedroom doors.
